• This is about those men who are caused detachment - parting from amongst you people (because of natural-accidental death, incidental-planned murder, or slaughter in the cause/war of Allah the Exalted) in circumstances that they are leaving behind their wives —

جان لو(معاشرتی ضابطے)تم میں سے بسبب موت(یا قتل؛شہادت)جن مردوں کی اس حالت میں وفات (دنیا سے علیحدگی) ہو کہ وہ اپنے پیچھے بیویوں کو چھوڑ کر جا رہے ہیں ۔

Root: و ذ ر  

• They (respective wives left behind) should wait-restrain their selves, honestly and sincerely, for a period of four lunar months and ten days till the eleventh lunar night.

توان کی بیویاں(بیوہ) اپنے آپ کو اپنے متعلق فیصلے کرنے کے لئے چار مہینے اور دس دنوں تک  پابند رکھیں۔

• Thereat, when they (wives left behind) have elapsed-crossed over the last moment of their prescribed duration, thereby there is no objection upon you people regards what these women decide-act about their selves in accordance with the known norms of the society.

اس ضابطے کی تعمیل کرتے ہوئے جب وہ (بیوائیں)اپنی مقرر کردہ عدت گزار چکی ہوں تو تم لوگوں پر قطعاً کچھ قابل اعتراض نہیں اس کے متعلق جو انہوں(بیواؤں)نے معاشرے کے تسلیم کردہ رواج کے مطابق اپنے متعلق فیصلہ کیا ہے۔

• Remain mindful that Allah the Exalted is aware of all acts which you people keep doing. [2:234]

متنبہ رہو؛ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر لمحہ ان اعمال سے بخوبی باخبر ہیں جو تم کرتے ہو۔

• Be aware that there is nothing wrong and blemish worthy upon you in that overture of your subtly indicating interest to the Wives of deceased-alienated husbands; or you kept it secret to your selves.

جان لو؛تم لوگوں پر قطعاً کچھ قابل اعتراض ہونے کی گرفت نہیں،جو تم نے عورتوں کی گفتگو میں اظہار کر دیا یا تم نے اپنی خواہش کو اپنے اندر چھپائے رکھا۔

• Allah the Exalted knew that you will eventually express to them.

اللہ تعالیٰ کو معلوم ہے کہ تم(بیوہ سے نکاح کے خواہشمند)ان (بیواؤں)سے  آنے والے دنوں میں(اپنی خواہش)کا ذکر کرو گے۔

• But you should not alluringly lead them to mutual promise except that you may say to them a normally acceptable statement in plain words of evident import —

لیکن ان(بیواؤں)سے  عیاں انداز میں عہد و پیمان نہیں کرنا چاہئے سوائے معروف انداز میں  وہ بات کہہ دینے  سے اظہار کر دو۔

• And that you people should not make a firm resolve for the Matrimonial Bondage with them until such time the Prescribed Obligatory Period crosses its terminating moment.

اور تمہیں چاہئے کہ اس وقت تک  نکاح کے بندھن کا عزم نہ کرو جب تک کہ طے کردہ ضابطے  کی مدت گزر نہ جائے۔

• Remain aware, Allah the Exalted fully knows that which you retain to your selves-secreted in hearts —

اور متنبہ رہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر اس بات کو بخوبی جانتے ہیں  جو خود تمہاری ذات میں ابھی محدود ہے۔

• Therefore, always remain mindfully cautious of Him the Exalted to adhere to injunctions given.

اس لئے ان جناب   کے متعلق تم لوگ  محتاط رہا کرو۔

• Moreover, remain cognizant that Allah the Exalted is eternally imperturbably over looking-forgiver [of unintentional faults-wrong doings]. [2:235]

لیکن ساتھ میں یہ بھی جان لو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اکثر و بیشتردرگزر اور پردہ پوشی کرنے اور معاف فرمانے والے ہیں؛وہ درجہ اتم بردبار،جذبات سے منزہ ہیں۔

• Not at all blemish-worthy shall be upon you (husbands) if you terminated the marriage [for compelling reasons] with your such wed-wives with whom you did not establish "intimate matrimonial association" —

تم لوگوں پر قطعاً کسی قابل اعتراض بات کی گرفت نہیں  اگر تم نے اپنی بیویوں کو اس حالت میں طلاق(بندھن نکاح سے آزاد)دے دی ہے کہ ابھی ان سے ’’تعلق زوجیت‘‘ قائم نہیں کیا تھا۔

• And/Or in terminating the marriage with such wives for whom you (husbands) did not finalize your financial obligation.

یا یہ کہ ابھی تم نے ان کے لئے معاشی ذمہ داری کے فرض کا تعین نہیں کیا تھا۔

• Take note; you (husbands) are directed to gift them: The providing of gift to them shall be commensurate to his measure upon the man of riches-affluence-abundant resources —

ان حالات میں انہیں اسباب دنیا دے کر رخصت کرو؛اس   کی اپنی حیثیت کے مطابق  دینا بہتر عمل ہے جو معاشی لحاظ سے صاحب وسعت ہے۔

• And shall be commensurate to his measure upon the man of little/restricted resources. It is emphasized that sustenance gift be in accordance with the known norms of society/class.

اور اس کی اپنی حیثیت کے مطابق دئیے گئے  سے مطمئن ہونا بہتر عمل ہے جو محدود مالی وسائل کا حامل ہے،یہ معاشرے کے معراف انداز میں متاع دنیا کی ادائیگی ہے۔

• This act of gifting to such divorced wife is an obligation for such men who maintain a balanced/even handed conduct in life. [2:236]

ایسا کرنا  ایسے لوگوں پر واجب ہے جواعتدال اور حسن سلوک  کے رویئے پر کاربند رہتے ہیں۔

• And if you have terminated the marriage [for compelling reasons] with them before having  established intimate matrimonial association [intercourse] —

اوراگر تم نے اپنی بیویوں کو اس حالت میں طلاق(بندھن نکاح سے آزاد)دے دی ہے کہ ابھی ان سے ’’تعلق زوجیت‘‘ قائم نہیں کیا تھا۔

• While you had determined for them the payable obligation, then in such case half of that is due which you had determined.

مگر  تم نے ان کے لئے معاشی ذمہ داری کے فرض کا تعین کر دیا تھا تو اس صورت میں انہیں اس کا آدھا دینا ہے جو تم نے متعین کیا تھا۔

• There is no exception to this laid down injunction except if they (the newly wed wives) remit that or [if she was earlier maidservant] that man remits it who has the decision-making right for her Unification bond/giving in marriage.

(یہ لازم ہے)سوائے  اگر وہ(مطلقہ)خود اس حق سے دستبردار ہو جائیں یاوہ شخص دستبردارکر دے جو بندھن نکاح میں دینے کا اختیار رکھتا ہے۔

• And to forego-ignore other's shortcomings is nearly related to mindful and restrained conduct.

صرف نظر اور درگزر کرنا تقویٰ کے زیادہ قریب ہے۔

• And you (people) should not forget exercising kindness-generosity with one another.

اور تم لوگوں کو چاہئے کہ اس خاص   فضل کو نظر انداز نہ کرو جس نے تمہارے مابین دینی اخوت کا رشتہ قائم کیا ہے۔

•  It is a certain fact that Allah the Exalted ever keeps watching what acts you people perform. [2:237]

متنبہ رہو؛ ا للہ تعالیٰ ہر لمحہ اُن اعمال کودیکھ رہے ہیں جو تم لوگ  کرتے ہو۔

• You people remain vigilant regards the (plural number of) As-sa'laat: Time Bound Formal Protocol of Servitude and allegiance; and be vigilant for the As-sa'laat which is relatively central to other four Formal Timings.

تم لوگ   مختلف اوقات پر مقرر کردہ صلوات(بااظہار بندگی؛نمازیں)کی ادائیگی کے  لئے چوکنا رہو اور وسطی صلوٰۃ کے لئے  چوکس رہو۔

• And you people stand for Allah the Exalted in the posture of devoted humble servants-subjects. [2:238]

اور(صلوٰۃ کی ادائیگی کے وقت) اللہ تعالیٰ کے حضور باادب  عاجز بندوں کے انداز میں کھڑے ہوں ۔

• However, if you people cannot stand at a location for reason of suspected danger: thereby performance of As-salaa't is restricted to oral remembrance and adoration of Allah the Exalted in the state of walking on foot or journeying on conveyance.

مگر اگر تم لوگوں کو کسی مقام پر رک کر ادائیگی صلوٰۃ میں خوف لاحق ہو توپیادہ چلتے چلتے یاسواری کے اوپر(بغیر رکوع و سجود) مقررہ وقت کی صلوٰۃ ادا کر دو۔

• Thereat when you have attained calm and secure state: then remember Allah the Exalted by formal protocol as He the Exalted has made you aware which you people earlier did not know. [2:239] 

پھر جب تم امن و اطمینان کی حالت میں ہو تو اللہ تعالیٰ کواس انداز میں یاد کرو جیسے ان جناب نے تم لوگوں کو تعلیم دی ہے جو قبل ازیں تم نہیں جانتے تھے۔(البقرۃ۔۲۳۹)

• Those Husbands should take note who are being separated - detached - parted from the company of you people while they are leaving behind Wives [for taking part in the war-to kill or be killed for the cause of Allah the Exalted]

جان لو(معاشرتی ضابطے)تم میں سے جن مردوں کو (گھروں سے میدان جنگ جانے کے لئے)خودالگ ہونا پڑے  اس حالت میں  کہ وہ اپنے پیچھے بیویوں کو چھوڑ کر جا رہے ہیں ۔

• Those husbands should bequeath a bequest in favour of their respective wives [in case of their slaughter/or missing in war] that they should be given sustenance adequate for one year without removing them out of the house.

تو وہ وصیت کر کے رخصت ہوں،اپنی بیویوں کو ایک سال تک  گھر سے نکالے بغیر متاع حیات دیتے رہنے کا۔

• Thereby, on completion of time frame [husband’s slaughter in war or missing in war] of maximum one year if they themselves left the house, thereat, nothing contracting-objectionable is upon you people for that act-decision they have taken for their selves in accordance with the known norms of society.

متعین مدت کے بعد اگر وہ(بیویاں جن کے خاوند میدان  لاپتہ،واپس نہیں آئے)گھر چھوڑ کر چلی جائیں تو تم لوگوں(اس مرد کے رشتہ داروں/معاشرے)پر قطعاً کچھ قابل مذمت کی گرفت نہیں جو انہوں نے معروف طرز عمل سے کسی فعل کو اپنے لئے انجام دیا ہے۔

• Be mindful, Allah the Exalted is Pervasively dominant and the Infinitely Just Supreme Administrator of the created realm, visible and invisible. [2:240] 

اوراس حقیقت سے باخبر رہو؛ اللہ تعالیٰ  دائمی،ہر لمحہ،ہرمقام پرحتماً غالب ہیں۔ اور بدرجہ اتم انصاف پسند تمام موجود کائنات کے فرمانروا اور تمام پنہاں کو جاننے والے ہیں۔

• Take note that some sustenance, in accordance with the known norms of society, should also be apportioned for the Wives who are in the prescribed restraint period of alienation - suspended marriage before complete separation [in case the husband dies during this period].

اور  کچھ متاع حیات کومعاشرے کے معروف طریقے سے ان  مطلقہ بیویوں کو بھی دینا ہے جو ابھی عدت میں تھیں(اور خاوند فوت ہو گیا)۔

• This is mandatory-incumbent upon people who are cautious, heedful and mindful in reverence and fear of Allah the Exalted.[2:241]

ایسا کرنا متقین/محتاط اور غلط روش سے اپنے آپ کو محفوظ رکھنے والوں پر واجب ہے۔

• This is how Allah the Exalted explicitly explicates His Aa'ya'at: Verbal Passages of Qur’ān rendering each point-concept-situation distinctly isolated and crystal clear for you people [for comprehension as was promised to the Messenger Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam]

اس تقابلی انداز میں اللہ تعالیٰ اپنی آیات کوتم لوگوں کے فہم کے لئے متمیز اور واضح فرما دیتے ہیں۔

• The objective is that you people might conveniently save it in memory and objectively analyze for critical thinking. [2:242]

اس کا مقصد یہ ہے کہ تم لوگ عقل و فہم سے  معاملات کو سلجھاؤ۔
