• Period of self-restraint (de facto separation) is restricted to four months for conclusive decision for those husbands who undertake an oath ceasing performing intimate matrimonial relation with their wives.

خودپرلگائی انتظار کی پابندی کی مدت چار مہینے تک محدود رکھنے کاحکم دیا جاتاہے ایسے خاوندوں کے لئے  جو اپنی بیویوں سے حقوق زوجیت کی ادائیگی سے احتراز کی قسم اٹھا لیتے ہیں۔

• Thereby, if they (husbands) compromised and re-established matrimonial relation:

اس حکم کی روشنی میں اگر وہ(اجتناب برتنے والے خاوند)اپنی قسم سے پلٹ کررجوع کر لیں۔

• In that case Allah the Exalted is indeed Oft-forgiving-overlooking faults, the Merciful. [2:226]

• However, in case they have firmly decided to publicly announce the termination of matrimonial protocol and bondage with their wives —

مگر اگر انہوں نے  برملا طلاق(حقوق زوجیت کے انقطاع کا باضابطہ اعلان)کا مصمم ارادہ کر لیا ہے۔

• Then, it be known that Allah the Exalted is the Listener and the Knowledgeable. [2:227]

تو اس صورت میں یہ حقیقت ذہن نشین رہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر لمحہ ہر آواز کو سننے والے ہیں، منبع علم ہیں،ہر بات کی مکمل معلومات رکھتے ہیں۔

• Take note; in case of proclamation of husband's firm decision of suspending the Matrimonial Bond in times after menstruation for its eventual revoking: the isolated Wives should honestly and sincerely exercise self restraint from deciding their future course for a time period of multiple menstrual discharges at three successive menstruation periods.

اور ایسی بیویاں جنہیں ان کے خاوندوں نے اعلانیہ  طلاق(بندھن نکاح کو معطل کرنا)دے دی ہے وہ اپنے آپ  کو اپنے متعلق فیصلے کرنے  کے لئے تین مرتبہ حیض کے مکمل خروج تک پابند رکھیں ۔

• Moreover, it is is not permissible for them (the alienated Wives) to withhold disclosing that which Allah the Exalted has since created in their Wombs. They will not withhold this information if they have truly been believing in Allah the Exalted and the Last Day [since this has social-moral as well legal implications, as mentioned elsewhere in the Qur’ān].

اور اس کو چھپانا جواللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کے ارحام میں(اس دوران)پیدا فرما دیا ہے اِن طلاق یافتہ بیویوں کے لئے حلال نہیں؛انہیں چاہئے کہ ایسا نہ کریں اگر وہ  اللہ تعالیٰ اور یوم آخر پر ایمان رکھنے والی ہیں۔

• And take note; their respective husbands have greater right in reverting them (alienated/divorced wives) back to wedlock (original position) during this case. This right is subject to the condition if those husbands have decided to straighten/reconcile matters.

ایسی مطلقہ بیویاں  مطلع ہوں؛ ان کے خاوندوں کا  اس  ایک پہلی مرتبہ  طلاق(فِـى ذَٟلِكَ)کے دوران حق مقدم ہے ان کواپنی مصاحبت کی اصل حالت میں واپس لینے کا اگر انہوں (خاوندوں)نے  معاملات کی اصلاح کرنے کاارادہ ظاہر کر دیا ہے۔

• Take note; a similar right like the one which husbands have upon them [right of reversion after pronouncement and revocation of matrimonial bond] is also the prerogative for such wives [next time, since divorce can happen only twice in the married life] in accordance with the known norms of the society.

اس ایک حق کی مانند جو ان پر ان کے طلاق دینے والوں  خاوندوںکا معاشرے کا معروف  اندازہے  ویسے ہی فیصلے کا ایک مقدم حق ان (مطلقہ بیویوں)کے لئے بھی ہے ۔

• However, a priority-precedence in exercise of same right for each of two is to men over them.

مگرایک جیسے حق میں برتری/پہل ایسے متذکرہ خاوندوں کے لئے ان متذکردہ بیویوں پر ہے۔

• Be mindful, Allah the Exalted is Pervasively dominant and the Infinitely Just Supreme Administrator of the created realm, visible and invisible. [2:228]

اوراس حقیقت سے باخبر رہو؛ اللہ تعالیٰ  دائمی،ہر لمحہ،ہرمقام پرحتماً غالب ہیں۔ اور بدرجہ اتم انصاف پسند تمام موجود کائنات کے فرمانروا اور تمام پنہاں کو جاننے والے ہیں۔

• Aet'Ta'laaqo: the formal pronouncement and resultant state of suspension—freezing of conjugal relation (pronounced de facto separation) for terminating the Bond of Nikkah (de jure separation) is permissible only on two occasions in time-line of married life —

 زوجیت  کے تعلق  کا بندھن نکاح کو تحلیل کرنے کے ارادےسے باضابطہ فیصلہ اور اعلان  ازدواجی  زندگی  کے دوران  صرف دو بار کیا جا سکتا ہے ۔

• Consequently on expiry of prescribed intervening period for reconciliation, there is option for you to hold back/resume association with the alienated wife [upon understanding/reconciliation reached] in accordance with the known norms of society. Otherwise, recourse is partitioning - apartness  in a respectable-decent-appropriate manner [from the house in the presence of two witnesses of just minded repute].

بعدازاختتام مدت عدت  (سورۃ الطلاق۔۲)معاشرے کے مرجہ قاعدے کے مطابق  انہیں یا تودوبارہ بندھن نکاح میں لینا ہے(اگر خاوند نے معاملات کی اصلاح کا ارادہ ظاہر کر دیا ہے۔البقرۃ۔۲۲۸)وگرنہ انہیں (مطلقہ بیویاں)انتہائی   مناسب انداز میں جدا کر دینا ہے(دو اچھی شہرت کے گواہوں کی موجودگی میں سورۃ الطلاق۔۲)۔

• Take note, it is not permissible for you (the husbands) who terminate the Conjugal Bond that you might take back any moveable and immovable asset out of that which you had already given them [even if it is plenty of wealth-4:20; this legal injunction at times becomes problem for pusillanimous husbands who then might play tricks-4:20]

اور  ان اسباب دنیا میں سے کچھ بھی واپس لینا جو تم نے انہیں  دوران زوجیت  دیا تھاتم لوگوں(طلاق دینے والے خاوندوں) کے لئے حلال نہیں ہے۔

• The exception to the aforementioned injunction is for that particular couple who considered-apprehended that they both would not be able to maintain the limits of Allah the Exalted in continuing the Conjugal bond/Nikah.

یہ حکم نافذ العمل ہے ماسوائے ایسی صورتحال میں جب دونوں(خاوند بیوی)کو یہ خوف لاحق ہو جائے  کہ (رشتہ ازدواج میں بندھے رہتے ہوئے)دونوں اللہ تعالیٰ کی مقرر کردہ حدودکے پابند نہیں رہ سکیں گے۔

• Thereby, in such case if you people-society/concerned families apprehended that this couple will not be able to maintain the limits of Allah the Exalted, then there is not at all harm-blemish in adjudging upon such couple that the wife agreeably recompensed out of that which her husband had given to her to earn separation/termination of Marriage Bond. [This is for the dislike of wife to continue matrimonial bond with her husband. But husbands should not tease and harass their wives to take them to this point of asking separation on payment of recompense-4:19].

چونکہ اب دونوں نے اپنے مابین ناچاقی کو ظاہر کر دیا ہے اس  لئے اگر تم لوگوں(خاندان کے بزرگ/متعلقہ عدالت)نے   بھی خدشہ محسوس کیا کہ دونوں(خاوند بیوی))اللہ تعالیٰ کی مقرر کردہ حدود کی پابندی نہیں کر سکیں گے تو اس میں قطعاً ان دونوں پر لینے دینے میں کوئی  قدغن نہیں  جواُس(طلاق لینے کی خواہشمند بیوی) نے باہمی رضامندی سے حصول طلاق کے لئے بطور فدیہ دیا۔

• --These are the limits-restraints-demarcations-options for dealing with the situations prescribed-ordained by Allah the Exalted.

مندرجہ بالا اللہ تعالیٰ کی جانب سے مقرر کردہ  فعل و عمل کی آزادی اور قیود ہیں۔

• Therefore, you people should not consciously and purposely transgress them.

چونکہ طرز معاشرت کے یہ طے کردہ اصول ہیں اس لئے تمہیں چاہئے کہ ان سے دانستہ،زیر مقصد تجاوز نہ کرو۔

• Beware, whoever consciously and diligently transgresses the limits set by Allah the Exalted —

یاد رہے؛جس کسی نے دانستہ اورذاتی منفعت کے مقصد سے اللہ تعالیٰ کی مقرر کردہ معاشرتی حدود سے تجاوز کیا۔

• Thereby they are truly the evil-doers-distorters-creators of imbalances-disorders-over stepping.-- [2:229]

تو یہ ہیں وہ لوگ جو حقیقت کو باطل میں بدلنے والے ہیں۔

• [Reverting from parenthetic] Thereat, if the husband divorced her (the Wife who demanded and paid for the termination of Marriage), then She will persistently not be permissible in timeline for him (divorcing husband) after the earned divorce —

فدیہ دینے کی رضامندی پر اگر اس(خاوند) نے اسے(اپنی طلاق لینے کی آرزومند بیوی)بندھن نکاح سے الگ کر دیا ہے  تو اس کے بعد کے زمان میں وہ(بندھن نکاح سے آزاد کر دی گئی بیوی)اس مرد کے لئے حلال عورتوں میں شمار نہیں۔

• Until such time that she might marry with a spouse of her choice other than him who divorced her. [Now as a married woman she like all other men is also "har'aam"/prohibited for her earlier husband].

یہ صورتحال اس وقت تک برقرار رہے گی  یہان تک کہ وہ(بعوذ فدیہ آزاد کردہ عورت)اپنی مرضی سے ایک مرد سے نکاح کر لے جو اس(سابقہ خاوند)کے علاوہ ہے۔

• Subsequently, in case her husband had divorced her [either before intercourse as allowed hereafter in 2:236,237, or after matrimonial relations], thereat, there is not at all harm-blemish upon the two that they might mutually approach each other to remarry. This is however subject to the condition that they both felt that now might mutually maintain the limits set by Allah the Exalted.

اس نکاح کے بعد اگر(جب)اس (موجودہ خاوند) نے اس عورت کو(چھوئے یا بن چھوئے)بندھن نکاح سےآزاد کر دیا ہو تو اس نئی صورتحال میں ان دونوں(دوسرے خاوند کی مطلقہ اور اس کا پہلا خاوند)پر ایک دوسرے سے نکاح کے لئے رجوع کرنے میں قطعاً حرج نہیں بشرطیکہ  دونوں اس مرتبہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی مقرر کردہ حدود کی پابندی کر سکیں گے۔

• Be aware; These are the limits-restraints-demarcations-options for dealing with the situations ordained by Allah the Exalted.

دھیان رہے؛مندرجہ بالا اللہ تعالیٰ کی جانب سے مقرر کردہ  فعل و عمل کی آزادی اور قیود ہیں۔

• He the Exalted explicitly demarcates them for the people who pursue acquiring knowledge. [2:230]

وہ جناب ان(طرز عمل کی حدود)کومتمیز فرماتے ہیں ان لوگوں کے لئے جو معلومات حاصل کرنے کے متمنی رہتے ہیں۔

• Take note of the course of action: If and when you (husbands) have formally suspended the Marriage-Protocol with wives and thereby they (respective alienated wives) have elapsed-crossed over their respectively determined mandatory restraint period  [resulting in untying-dissolution of Nikkah].

ْْاور جب تم لوگ(خاوند)باضابطہ اعلانیہ طور پر اپنی بیویوں کو حقوق زوجیت سےالگ کر چکے ہو جس کے بعد انہوں نے اپنے لئے مقرر کردہ مدت انتظار گزار دی ہے۔

• Since it is case other than termination earned by wife on recompensing (mentioned in 2:229-230), thereat, you (respective husbands) are directed to either hold them back in your wedlock in accordance with the known norms of society [fresh Nikah if reconciliation is struck 2:232]; Or apart them in respectable-decent manner in accordance with the known norms of society [in the presence of two witnesses of just minded repute-Refer 65:02].

چونکہ  یہ  طلاق بعوض  فدیہ نہیں  (مذکور آیت۔۲۲۹۔۲۳۰)اس لئے اس دوران معاملے کو جس حتمی نہج پر پہنچایا ہے اس کے مطابق  اس وقت معاشرے کے مرجہ قاعدے کے مطابق  انہیں دوبارہ بندھن نکاح میں لے کر اپنے ساتھ  حالت امساک میں کرلو(اگر خاوند نے معاملات کی اصلاح کا ارادہ ظاہر کر دیا ہے۔البقرۃ۔۲۲۸)وگرنہ انہیں (مطلقہ بیویاں)انتہائی   مناسب انداز میں جدا کر دو(دو اچھی شہرت کے گواہوں کی موجودگی میں سورۃ الطلاق۔۲)۔

• Be mindful, you (respective husbands) should not cause their association in wedlock with mischievous intention of purposely committing excesses.

لیکن یاد رکھو(پہلی طلاق کے موقع پر بیوی کو واپس نکاح میں لینے کے مقدم حق کا ناجائز فاہدہ اٹھاتے ہوئے)تمہیں چاہئے کہ ان پر زیادتی اور پرخاش نکالنے کے خیال سے  انہیں  ان کی مرضی کے بغیر مت    اپنے ساتھ منسلک کرو۔

• -- However, should someone do that mischief, in fact he did that excess against his own self --.

متنبہ رہو؛جو کوئی(طلاق دینے والا)ایسا کرے گا تو یقیناً اس نے خود اپنی ذات پرظلم کیا۔

• [Reverting from parenthetic] Be mindful, you people should not, deliberately and purposely, hold-treat non-seriously and in jest the Verbal injunctions (Aay'aat) of Allah the Exalted.

اور تم لوگوں کو چاہئے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی آیات کو دانستہ  اورمنفعت یا عنادکے زیر مقصدغیر سنجیدہ انداز میں مت لو۔

• And you recall and celebrate "the Grace-obliging beneficence of Allah the Exalted" upon you people.

اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی اس نعمت کو یاد رکھو جب انہوں نے تم لوگوں پررحمت العالمین کو رسول مبعوث  فرما کر بھیجا تھا(البقرۃ۔151؛ءال عمران۔164 اورسورۃ الجمعہ۔٢)۔

• And remember and orate that which He the Exalted has compositely sent to you as part of the Book and the Wisdom.

اور اس کو یاد رکھو جسے انہوں نے مجتمع انداز میں تم لوگوں پر نازل فرما دیا ہے،جو آسان فہم انداز میں کتاب اور حکمت کے مندرجات پر مشتمل ہے۔

• He the Exalted advises you people by it (Qur’ān).

وہ جناب تم لوگوں کو اس(نازل کردہ قرءان مجید)کے ذریعے  نصیحت فرماتے ہیں۔

• And sincerely endeavour to attain the protection from Allah the Exalt —

اورتم لوگ تندہی سے محتاط رہتے ہوئے اللہ تعالیٰ سے پناہ کے خواستگار رہو۔

• Further, you people know the fact that Allah the Exalted is eternally the knower of absolute: visible and infolded knowledge of physical realm: all that exists. [2:231]

اور اس حقیقت سے مطلع رہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر ایک شئے کا مکمل دائمی علم رکھنے والے ہیں۔

• Take note of the course of conduct in case you husbands have publicly suspended the Marriage-Protocol with wives and thereafter the alienated wives have elapsed-crossed over their respectively determined mandatory restraint period  [resulting in disintegration-dissolution of Nikkah].

اور جب تم لوگ(خاوند)باضابطہ اعلانیہ طور پر اپنی بیویوں کو حقوق زوجیت سےالگ کر چکے ہو جس کے بعد انہوں نے اپنے لئے مقرر کردہ مدت انتظار گزار دی ہے۔

• Thereat, you people (the society) should not muscle them (the alienated wives) in their uniting in Nikkah-marrying with their husbands whenever they, the disintegrated spouses have struck mutual agreement-understanding in accordance with acceptable norms of society.

تو تم لوگوں(خاندان،معاشرہ)کو چاہئے کہ انہیں(عدت مکمل کر چکی مطلقہ بیویاں)اپنے خاوندوں سے نکاح کرنے سے زبردستی مت روکو جب ان دونوں(سابقہ خاوند بیوی)کے مابین معاشرے کے معروف انداز سے باہمی راضی نامہ ہو گیا ہے۔

• This is the course of action that he gets advised by it who amongst you has truly been believing in Allah the Exalted and the Day of Judgment.

یہ ہے وہ بات جس کی اس شخص کو نصیحت کی جا رہی ہے جو تم لوگوں کے مابین اللہ تعالیٰ اور یوم آخر پر ایمان رکھتا ہے۔

• You people/society realize that the fore-stated advised course (not to hinder the alienated [divorcee] wife to unite in Nikah-re-marry with her husband) is more flourishing and relatively more clean-pious for you the society.

یہ بات(کہ طلاق کے بعد خاوند بیوی دوبارہ نکاح کر لیں)تم لوگوں(خاندان؛معاشرے)کے لئے زیادہ  فروغ پذیر اور زیادہ ستھری نصیحت ہے۔

• Realize that Allah the Exalted absolutely knows everything while you people do not know about everything. [2:232]

ادراک رکھو؛(احکامات کی علت کے متعلق)اللہ تعالیٰ مکمل طور پر ہر بات کو بخوبی جانتے ہیں جبکہ تم لوگ ہر بات کے متعلق معلومات نہیں رکھتے۔(البقرۃ۔۲۳۲)۔

• Take note that the Mothers shall breast-feed their off-springs for two years, complete two years [24  months].

اور ولادت دینے والی مائیں اپنی اولاد کو مکمل دو سال تک دودھ پلاتی رہیں۔

• This direction is in favour of that husband who decided that he might complete the breast-feed by his wife whom he had alienated from Matrimonial Bond —

یہ نصیحت اس (طلاق دینے والے خاوند)کے حوالے سے بھی نافذ العمل ہے جس نے دودھ پلانے کی مدت مکمل کرنے کا ارادہ ظاہر کیا ہے۔

• Their sustenance, feed and clothing in accordance with the known norms of society is incumbent responsibility upon the respective begetter.

ان(ماؤں)کے  نان و نفقہ  اور ان کے ملبوسات کے اخراجات کی  ذمہ داری  بچے کے والد پر ہے،معاشرے کے جانے پہچانے رسم و رواج کے مطابق اس کو نبھانا اس کے لئے لازم ہے۔

• A person-husband shall however not be burdened except that which he can afford.

مگر کسی شخص پر اس کی وسعت سے زیادہ کی ذمہ داری کا بوجھ نہیں ہے۔

• A mother should not be subjected to suffer [for love, motherly affection] because of her beget. Nor the one who has become begetter be pressed because of his beget.

حالات کے مطابق  والدہ  کواس کے جنے کی الفت کی وجہ سے دقت  دینا جائز نہیں؛اور نہ بچے کے والد کو بچے  سے الفت کی وجہ سے دقت دینا جائز ہے ۔

• Sequel to mutual understanding and consultation if they both decided to earlier stop the breast-feeding, thereby nothing objectionable lies against both of them.

لیکن اگر دونوں نے باہمی رضامندی ااور مشاورت کے نتیجے میں بچے کے دودھ پلانے کو چھڑانے کا فیصلہ کیاہے تو دونوں پر قطعاًً کوئی قابل مذمت گرفت نہیں۔

• Moreover, if you have decided that you might self assign the breast-feeding of your off-springs to foster-mother, thereat, there is no cause of objection upon you therein when you willingly agreed for that which you paid in accordance with accepted norms.

اور اگر تم(والد)لوگوں نے اپنی اولاد کوکسی ددسری عورت سے دودھ پلوانے کا اارادہ کیا ہے تو اس میں بھی تم لوگوں پر قطعاً قابل مذمت گرفت نہیں اس وقت جب تم نے جو تسلیم کیا تھا وہ ادا کر دیا ہو معاشرے کے معروف رواج کے مطابق۔

• And sincerely endeavour to attain the protection from Allah the Exalted —

اورتم لوگ تندہی سے محتاط رہتے ہوئے اللہ تعالیٰ سے پناہ کے خواستگار رہو۔

• Further, you people know-remember the fact: That Allah the Exalted is ever watching whatever you are doing. [2:233]

اور اس حقیقت سے باخبر رہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر لمحہ ہر اس عمل کو بغور دیکھ رہے ہیں جو تم لوگ کرتے ہو۔
