  • You should not render your gifts of generosity as worthless scum by reproach/pronouncing account of it and by causing embarrassment to the recipient:

تم لوگ اپنے بےصلہ مالی تعاون/صدقات کواحسان جتانے اور وصول کنندہ کو کوفت دے کربیکارمت بناؤ۔

  • Like he who spends his wealth for worldly pomp and show, pleasure of ostentatious display and he in fact believes not in Allah the Exalted nor the Last Day.

اس شخص کے باطل عمل کی مانند جو لوگوں کودکھاوے کے مطمح نطر سے اپنے مال کو خرچ کرتا ہے جبکہ وہ نہ تو اللہ تعالیٰ پر اور نہ یوم آخر پر ایمان رکھتا ہے۔

  • Thereby, his similarity is with such rock that a layer of soil is layered upon it. Thereat, a heavy rainfall fell upon it and washed away the layer of soil whereby the rainfall left it as a naked rock.

اس طرح اُس شخص کے قلب و انفاق کی مماثلت اس  شفاف چٹان سے ہے،مٹی کی ایک تہہ اس پر پڑی ہوئی ہے؛پھرزوردار بارش نے اسے دھوڈالا ،اور یوں اس(زوردار بارش)نے اسے(چٹان)بے زرخیزچٹان بنا کر چھوڑا۔

  • Such people have no power to retain permanently that which they have earned.

یہ لوگ اس شئے کی قدر ومنزلت اور انجام کے متعلق اندازہ نہیں لگاتے جو ووہ حاصل کرنا چاہتے تھے۔

  • Be aware, Allah the Exalted does not guide, against their will, the people who persistently and deliberately refuse to accept. [2:264]

مطلع رہو؛اللہ تعالیٰ رسول کریم اور قرءان کا انکار کرنے والوں کو (ان کی خواہش کے برعکس)ہدایت نہیں دیتے۔

  • And the illustration for those who heartily spend their worldly resources for seeking the approval-appreciation of Allah the Exalted; and in condition of steadfast belief of their inner selves:

اور اِن لوگوں کے بالمقابل اُن لوگوں کے قلب و انفاق کی مماثلت جو اپنے اموال اس  مخلصانہ خواہش کے زیر اثر خرچ کرتے رہتے ہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ سے شرف قبولیت حاصل ہو اور اپنے نفوس میں ایمانی تقویت و طمانیت ملے

ایک ایسے باغ کی مانند ہے جو پہاڑی پر ہے۔

  • A heavy rain watered it. Thereat, it yielded two-fold produce —

زوردار بارش کا پانی اس پر برسا تو اس نے پھلوں کی پیداوار کو دگنا کردیا۔

  • However, if no heavy rain watered it even then dewfall-drizzling suffices to produce good yield.

اور اگر زوردار بارش  اس پرنہ  برسے تو بھی محض پھوار اور شبنم پیداوار کے لئے کافی ہو۔

  • Would anyone of you people like that such a garden of palm trees and grapes-vines be his property —

کیا تم لوگوں میں کوئی ایک ایسے  باغ کا مالک ہونے کا متمنی ہے جس میں کھجوروں اور انگوروں کے درخت و پودے ہوں

  • All sorts of fruit produce is the yield therein to his advantage —

  • And old age has overtaken him —

ایسا اس حال میں جب بڑھاپا اس پر پہنچ چکا ہے۔

  • And youngster and weak progeny is a concern for him.

اورابھی ناتواں اولاد کی ذمہ داری اس پر ہے۔
