• You people eat selectively from the produce of the Earth that which is permissible and characteristically beneficial and nutrient —

اس رزق میں سے کھاؤ،جو تم لوگوں کے نظام ہضم کے مطابق زمین میں مہیا کیا گیا ہے،اپنی پسند کے مطابق جسے حلال قرار دیا گیا ہے اورتمہارے لئے مرغوب اور صحت افزاء ہے۔

• And you people should not purposely follow the trails of Shai'taan—Satanic inspirations —

اور تم لوگوں کو چاہئیے کہ دانستہ شیطان کے طرز عمل کی پیروی نہ کرو۔

• It is a fact that he is contentious, antagonistic enemy for you people. [2:168]

یہ حقیقت کہ وہ(شیطان)تم لوگوں کے لئے علی الاعلان دشمن ہے۔

• He (Shai'taan) certainly inspires-allures you people only to indulge in imbalanced-irrational conduct and sexual perversion [alfaa'sha'ai includes all illicit sexual activity that might lead to intercourse of genitalia [furr'ej] of opposite sexes with mutual consent, called uz'zina] —

وہ تم لوگوں کو محض قبیح کاموں اورجنسی بے راہروی کی ترغیب دیتا ہے۔

• And that you indulge in attributing to Allah the Exalted by saying that which you personally know not (verified whether it is written in Qur’ān or is established by tangible evidence). [2:169)

اور اس بات   کی ترغیب دیتا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ سے منسوب کر کے تم لوگوں سے وہ باتیں کہو جن کے متعلق تم کتاب اور آثار علم سے معلومات نہیں رکھتے۔

• Know it, when it was said to them; "You people heartily follow in practice that which Allah the Exalted has compositely sent." —

اور جب ان لوگوں(جو اللہ تعالیٰ کے ہمسر اختیار کرتے ہیں)سے کہا گیا’’تم لوگ دل کی شاد سے اس کی پیروی کرو جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجتمع انداز میں نازل کر دیا ہے‘‘۔

• They replied; "No, instead We will keep following that upon which we found our fathers had been".

انہوں نے جواب دیا’’نہیں ہم ایسا نہیں کریں گے، بلکہ ہم  اس کی اتباع کرتے رہیں گے جس پر ہم نے اپنے آباؤاجداد کو کاربند پایا تھا‘‘۔

• Would they keep following their forefathers despite the fact if they were not rationally reflecting about a thing —

کیا وہ یہ جان کر بھی ایسا کریں گے چاہے ان کے آباؤاجداد کسی بات کے متعلق غور و فکر نہیں کرتے تھے

• And nor were they consciously attempting to get guided-arrive at rational conclusion? [2:170]

اور نہ خود ہدایت کے متمنی تھے۔(البقرۃ۔۱۷۰)

• And the instance of those people who have denied accepting Qur’ān —

اور ان لوگوں کی مثال جنہوں نے قرء ان کوماننے سے انکار کیا ہے ۔

• Is like he who shepherds a herd by that sounds which he listens nothing meaningful except calls and whoops.

اس چرواہے جیسی ہے جوبھیڑ بکریوں کے ریوڑ کوہنکانے پر سماعتوں سے ٹکرانے والی پکار اور اونچی آواز کے سوا کچھ نہیں سنتا۔

• They people are deaf dumb, blind —

ایسے لوگ دانستہ بہرے،گونگے،اندھے بنتے ہیں۔
