• O those people who have proclaimed to have believed in the Messenger and Qur’ān, listen;

!اے وہ لوگوں جنہوں نے رسول کریم (محمّد ﷺ)اور قرءان مجید پرایمان لانے کا اقرارو اعلان کیا ہے توجہ سے سنو

  • The Fasting: time bound abstinence of activity relating to food intake and genitalia has been made obligatory-decreed upon you people exactly as it was decreed upon the people who existed prior to you—

لازمی روزے(مخصوص ابتدائے اور انتہائے وقت کے دوران کھانے پینے اور جنسیات سے اجتناب)تم لوگوں پر فرض کیئے گئے ہیں  ویسے ہی جیسے تم سے قبل کے زمانے میں ایمان والوں پر فرض کیئے گئے تھے۔

  • So that you might protect yourselves. [2:183]

ان کا مقصد اور امکان یہ ہے کہ(باقی گیارہ مہینوں میں بھی)تم لوگ اپنے آپ کو محفوظ و مامون بنا سکو۔

  • The Fasting is during a fixed number of days; day and night-29 or 30 of the lunar month.

اس لئے  تعمیل کرتے ہوئےروزے رکھو متعین کردہ گنے چنے دنوں میں۔

  • Sequel to this imposition one may adjourn it who is suffering amongst you some sickness or is embarking on a journey. Thereby, the adjourned fasting be accomplished to the count during the days of another month.

اس فرضیت کے بعد اگر تم میں سے کوئی بالغ شخص بیمار ہے،یا سفر کر رہا ہے  تو مؤخر کر دے جس کی مقررہ گنتی کی تکمیل بعد ازاں کے مہینوں کے دنوں میں کرنا شرط ہے۔

  • A compensation; a feed of destitute is incumbent for deferring fast upon those who have the strength to bear it in that ailment or journey without detriment  [journeying towards north will rather shorten the Fasting time].

مگر فدیہ جو ایک مفلوک الحال کو ایک وقت کھانا کھلانا ہے اس شخص پرجو اس سہولت کو استعمال کرنا چاہتا ہے جو باوجود بیمار ہونے یا سفر پر ہونے کے اس(روزہ)کو رکھنے کی طاقت رکھتا ہے۔

  • Therefore, whoever heartily adopted a better course, thereat, that is much benefiting for him.

اس پراگر کوئی  شخص خود خوشی سے زیادی بھلا کام کرنے پر آمادہ ہے تو وہ اس کے لئیے زیادہ بہتر اور قابل تحسین ہے۔

  •  And remember that your observing fasting instead of adjourning it in minor bearable sickness or comfortable journey would be far better for you people.

مگر روزہ رکھنا،جب طاقت رکھتے ہو تو وہ تمہارے لئے زیادہ بہتر آپشن ہے۔

اور  اللہ تعالیٰ کی جانب سے نازل کردہ ہدایت نامے اور حق و باطل کوجانچنے کی کسوٹی /پیمانہ  میں سے موقعہ محل کی مناسبت سے واضح آیات  بتدریج نازل کی گئی تھیں جوہدایت کا ذریعہ ہیں۔

  • Therefore, whoever of you people having reached adulthood was present at home in this month, thereat, he should observe-pass it (month of Ramadan) by fasting.

اس لئے جو کوئی بالغ اپنے گھر پر اس مہینے میں موجود ہے تو اسے اس کو روزے رکھ کر بسر کرنا چاہئے۔
