• And you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] remain coolly perseverant upon what they keep saying —

اور آپ(ﷺ)دھیرج رکھیں ان  نامعقول باتوں کو سن کر جو انکار کرنے والے عمائدین کرتے رہتے ہیں۔

  • And distance away such people from you; distancing in a noble/dignified manner [By cautioning them about the disclosed facts].

اور ان لوگوں کو اپنی صحبت سے دور کریں،باوقار انداز سے دور کرنا۔

  • And leave to Me the people of influence and wealth who persistently negate and contradict the Evident Truth —

اور آپ (ﷺ) مجھ پر چھوڑ دیں ان جھٹلانے والوں کو جو صاحبان اثر و رسوخ اور ثروت ہیں۔

  • And you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] afford them a reprieve —disclosing that it is for a little while. [73:11]

یہ اس دن کے لئے تیاریاں ہیں جب کرہ ارض اور اس پر موجود پہاڑ زبردست ارتعاش میں ہوں گے۔

  • And the mountains would have become a heap of sand poured-out and flowing down [Levelling plain the Earth]. [73:14]

  • O you the people acknowledge the fact that Our Majesty have sent Muhammad [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] as Messenger to you, he will act as witness upon you people —

اے لوگو؛اس حقیقت کا تو اعتراف کرو ہم جناب نے محمّد(ﷺ)کو بحثیت رسول تم لوگوں(اس وقت اہلیان جزیرہ عرب اور اب بنی نوع انسان)کی جانب بھیجا ہے،وہ تم لوگوں پرگواہ بنائے گئے ہیں۔

  • Appointing him Messenger for all humanity is like Our Majesty had sent Musa (alaihisalam) as Messenger towards Pharaoh who was head of another nation. [73:15]

ان(ﷺ)کو تمام اقوام کے لئے مبعوث فرمانا ویسے ہی ہے جیسے ہم جناب نے موسیٰ(علیہ السلام)کو بحثیت رسول ان کی اپنی قوم کے علاوہ فرعون کی جانب بھیجا تھا۔

  • Since he was deluded to be recognized as lord and godhead, Pharaoh refused to accept the word/demand of the Messenger (Mūsā alahissalam)—

چونکہ وہ خود کو رب اور معبود سمجھے جانے کی خواہش میں مغلوب تھا فرعون نے اس کی جانب بھیجے گئے رسول کی بات کو ماننے سے انکار کر دیا۔

  • Having fulfilled the condition of taking criminal cognizance and expiry of respite period, Our Majesty seized him; seizure in the manner of rod hammering. [73:16]

اتمام حجت اور مہلت کا وقت ختم ہونے پر ہم جناب نے اسے(فرعون) گرفت میں لے لیا۔گرفت کا انداز ایسے جیسے دھوبی گھاٹ پر گندےکپڑوں کوڈنڈے سے پیٹا جاتا ہے۔

  • (If worldly considerations become the only priority like that of Pharaoh) Thereby, how would you think of taking guards and seeking protection of Allah the Exalted —

(فرعون کی طرح اگر دنیا ہی کو سب کچھ سمجھ لیا)تو کیسے،کس سبب سے تم لوگ اپنے آپ کومحفوظ و مامون بنانے کے لئے اللہ تعالیٰ سے پناہ کے خواستگار بنو گے/سوچو گے:

  • If you people have kept aside veiled - neglected the Day, the day which will render the children horrified, dismayed - paralyzed having been left neglected? [73:17]

 اگر تم نے پس پشت کردیا اُس دن کوجو معصوم بچوں کو سہما،خوف زدہ،مرجھا دے گا؟ (المزمل۔۱۷)

  • Certainly it (aforementioned facts of past and future history ) is to beware you people (to keep remembering the Day) —

یقیناًمتذکرہ باتیں ماضی اور مستقبل کی تاریخ یاد رکھنے کے لئے بیان کی گئی ہیں۔

  • Therefore, whoever so desired he sincerely and diligently held Qur’ān as the path leading to his Sustainer Lord. [73:19]

اس لئے جس کسی نے ایسا چاہا اس نے قرءان مجید کوخلوص اور تندہی   سےاپنے رب کی جانب جانے کےلئے بطور راستہ اپنا لیا۔

: Our general perception; and the laws about admissibility of evidence in the Courts is - that a person who was physically present on the scene and had watched/observed is the primary/eye witness. Reliance on his witness is on the presumption that the scene is recorded in his memory, and that he can retrieve it and verbally replicate the scene. This signifies that the person has the authentic or reliable knowledge of the happening. In modern days, the footage recorded in a CCTV camera serves and acts as Observer and Witness - because it can be rewound and played back to watch the activity on the scene of occurrence, which is more reliable than the human eye.

The above understanding with reference to our every day life observation saves us from delving in the delicacies of words: and . They relate both to being present, as well being aware and having full knowledge of the incident, occurrence, scene, conduct. The point is made vivid in the Grand Qur’ān:

  • Know it, the day when Allah the Exalted will assemble the Messengers;

  • Thereat, He the Exalted will enquire from them: "What was that responded to you?"

  • They replied: "Knowledge of all sorts is not exhibited - within the reach for us;

  • Indeed You the Exalted are the absolutely knowledgeable of all that which is not within the reach/focus of others" [5:109]

The question was not restricted to specific point in time; it was wide open covering response to the Message delivered by them in time and space upon which they were not corporeally witness. The Messengers do not express a single word unless they possess the complete and absolute knowledge about that thing.

  • Thereby subjecting them to accountability on Day of Requital, Our Majesty will certainly question those people towards whom the Messenger were sent;

  • And Our Majesty will certainly enquire from the Messengers about the response they received. [7:06]

  • Thereat, in response to their answer, Our Majesty will narrate the history to the Messengers in detail based on knowledge;

  • Mind it, We were never absent from the scene (like the Messengers after their natural death). [7:07]
