o Beginning is with Allah's personal name Ar'Reh'maan Who is The Fountain of Infinite Mercy [Note] It should be remembered that it is not the written text/part/Ayah of سُورة [Chapter 38] and hence it is never numbered. For convenience of those readers who are already believers, this is traditionally printed since it is commanded in the Qur'aan to read/recite with the Name of Sustainer Lord, The Creator. |

Sād [Fifteenth-centre/middle letter of the 29 letters of Arabic Alphabet, with ancillary glyph/prolongation sign/mark which extends/stretches the sound value of the letter to which it is added. Prolongation sign/mark is found whenever the following word begins with still letter and here Sād ending with sound of still "Daal" in pronunciation. As a numeral, it denotes 90-reflecting the entire range from 0 to 9. Interestingly its head part is used in Grand Qur'aan as a sign to suggest linkage in recitation] [Read with
25:29]o and swearing is by the Qur'aan, its peculiarity is that it is the holder/container of the Admonishment/ Reminder/Reiteration [of all that was sent earlier-a linkage]. [38:01] [Read in
conjunction
2:137,176;22:53;41:52] Nay, their utterances are false, the fact of the matter is that those who have deliberately refused to accept [Grand Qur'aan] they are in the perception of holding power/control/status quo and in retaining/maintaining a separate identity/entity [as against the Qur'aan that intends to link the humanity as a homogenous unit]. [38:02] [Similar pronouncement in
19:74,98] And many of civilizations before them in human history We have annihilated; [Read with
6:158;10:91;32:29;40:85]o whereupon they called [declaring themselves believers] and that turning was no escape/of benefit at that point in time. [38:03] [Same information in
50:02; read with
7:63,69;10:02] And they expressed it unaccustomed/strange to people that a Warner should have come to them from amongst themselves o and the deniers/non believers/elite of society said to people, "This is an illusionist liar. [38:04]
Has he made/declared various numerous iela'aha as Only One Iela'aha;
[Same information in
50:02]o indeed this is certainly a strange thing" [38:05] And the leaders among them made themselves walk away, imperatively saying to people, "Walk/ disperse you people away, and you people remain constantly satisfied upon your various iela'aha.
o Certainly this is definitely a thing which is intended and desired to be done. [38:06]
We have never heard the like of this in the earlier religious system and practices; o this is nothing but a made-up tale! [38:07] [Read with
54:25] What is this! has the Reminder/Admonition [Qur'aan] sent to him from amongst us all?"
Nay, in fact they are in doubt/skepticism about My Message/Admonition/Reminder-Qur'aan. o Nay, in fact they have not yet been made to taste My chastisement. [38:08]
[Read with 52:37] [they command people as if] Are with them the treasures of the Mercy of your Sustainer Lord, the Dominantly All Pervasive and the Bestower, [38:09]
or is it for them the dominion of the Skies and the Earth and that which is in between two of them, o thereby [to roam in their dominion] they should make themselves ascend by specific means. [38:10] [Read with 54:45] [they have not yet been made to taste chastisement-38:08] They are the group who at that point in time will be the crinkly suppressed part of the confederations [of earlier times]. [38:11] [Read with
40:05] Before them publicly contradicted the people of the nation of Noah [alai'his'slaam], and of Aad and Fir'aoun, who were the holder of deeply entrenched vested interests; [38:12]
and Sa'mued, and the nation of Luet [alai'his'slaam] and the residents of "Al-Aikate"; o they were the confederations [of earlier times as referred in 38:11][38:13]
They all did but publicly contradicted the Messengers whereupon the criminal cognizance for awarding them My punishment became incumbent. [38:14]
And these people [present day confederates] wait nothing except a Big/mighty Bang; for which there will be no gap/interval [of ease, wave after wave of sound, breaking everything]. [38:15]
And they said: "Our Lord! hasten to us our share of punishment before the Day of Account!" [38:16] [Same advice in
20:130;50:39;73:10] You , the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] remain coolly perseverant upon what they say;
and you mention to people about Our servant Dawood [alai'his'slaam], the holder of great powers/ kingdom, [for comparative study of people holding power and affluence]; [Same
information in same words in 38:30,44]o indeed he was ever mindful/heedfully returning [to Allah]. [38:17]
It is a fact that We had subjected the mountains, they along with him echoed the repetitive praises [of Allah] in the evening and after the Sunrise; [38:18]
and the birds assembled; they all for Him/Allah were inclined. [38:19]
And We had firmly strengthened his dominion and We had granted him wisdom and the ability of eloquent oratory. [38:20]
And has the news of disputants reached to you when they people at their own climbed on to the private chamber, [38:21]
when they entered on to Da'wood [alai'his'slaam] thereat he felt cautiously afraid from them [for obvious reason that many people had broken all the security barriers unto the King's privacy]
They said, "Do not feel cautious;
two disputant parties, some of us have done wrong upon others, therefore, you decide the matter between us on principle of equity and justice without favour or fear o and you guide us on the straight path. [38:22]
Indeed this is my brother, for him are ninety-nine ewe and for me there is only one ewe o whereupon/for which reason he said, "you entrust her to me" and he overpowered me in the speech" [38:23]
He/Da'wood [alai'his'slaam] said, "He has certainly done injustice by asking your ewe towards his ewes
and certainly many amongst the partners are some who definitely oppress the other;
except those who accepted/believed and conducted righteous acts and they are in small number". o And Da'wood [alai'his'slaam] thought positively [by this incident since the matter stated by those men could never warrant entering the Palace in such illegal risky manner] that only We had subjected him to irked trial whereupon he sought for himself the forgiveness of his Sustainer Lord and went down bowing and he turned. [38:24] [Please prostrate and get near to the Sustainer Lord of Worlds]
Therefore We overlooked this [administrative lapse] for him; [Same
pronouncement in same words for his son, complete verse
38:40]o and certainly for him with Us is near access and par excellence abode of return [and he was reminded]; [38:25]
"O Da'wood [alai'his'slaam] indeed We have appointed you the Self Governing Ruler in the country
therefore decide and adjudge amongst people on principle of justice and equity,
and [advise everyone] do not let anyone make you follow the desire/conjectural statement which may result in making you forgetful of the Path of Allah.
Indeed those who forgetfully neglect the Path of Allah o for them is [in wait] severe punishment for the reason that they forgot the Day of Accountability. [38:26]
