Ayah comprises of a complex sentence whose independent clause is elliptical.
Linguist D. A. Wilkins (1972) has the famous line : "Without grammar very little can be conveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed."
Thereby, it is necessary to understand the grammatical structuring of sentences to derive exact meanings.
: It is Prepositional Phrase
coupled with Possessive Phrase.
Prefixed
Preposition:
لِ
is used
for specification, to indicate exclusivity;
and for explanation. The most important characteristic of Verbal Noun [مصدر]
is its verbal quality.
This verbal quality gives the Masdar the ability
to govern other words as its subject and object, just as a verb can
govern a subject and object. As a rule, the verb governs its subject in
the nominative state and governs its object in the accusative state.
The rule of Masdar is that most often it governs
its subject as the Mudhaf - First noun of Construct governs its Mudhaf alahi
- Second noun of Possessive Phrase, meaning the subject
will be genitive. The Masdar - Verbal Noun governs its object in the accusative, most
often.
Verbal Noun, which is of Form-IV, stems from
Root: ء
ل ف.
It leads to the perception of merger of things,
coalescence - to merge into a single body, rendering people a homogenous
fraternity. Form-IV is Causative - Causing someone or something to perform the
action of Measure I.
The second proper noun of the possessive phrase is the subject of verbal noun. The action that had been taken for rendering the Tribe of Quraish a well established fraternity is elided. The elided clause is understood to be relating to what is desired in the apodosis clause. It is about the House. The referred House had brought them into prominence and affluence.
This is the Last Frame on the subject of the House of Allah the Exalted; its origin was firstly mentioned in Frame 41 of Chapter 2 comprising of Ayah 2:124-129.
The Town where the House of Allah was built is a barren valley. Announcement of Pilgrimage also introduced "Tourism industry" that brought riches and affluence to the local population. The Town has become the most enlivened place in the world.
Control of trade routes grants superiority to a tribe and nation in a region.
