[Same information in
14:06] "O my nation! you people recall the Grace of Allah upon you people
when He appointed in you the Chosen and Elevated Servants and made you people self-rulers [took you out from the slavery in Egypt] and gave you people that which He had not given in human history/for which there is [till date] no precedence in history. [It should be remembered that it is the verbatim quote of the address of Musa alai'his'slaam to his nation at that point in time] [5:20] O my nation! you people enter into the land/city, that has since been rectified of faults, the one which Allah, the Exalted has ordained/written for you people,
and you people should not turn back on your backs [in case of resistance] which will result in returning back as losers". [5:21] They replied, "O Musa, indeed therein are people of great strength and power and we will never enter in it until and unless they depart from it.
Therefore, if they depart from the city then indeed we will enter." [5:22] Two men, from amongst the fearful, upon whom two Allah had showered grace said to fearing people, "Enter upon them through the gate [breaking] then when you have entered the gate then indeed you will be victorious/over powering; and for reason keep your trust in Allah if you are truly the believers". [5:23]
[unmoved] They said, "O Musa, we will never ever enter in it so long as they are in it.
Musa [alai'his'slaam] prayed, "My Sustainer Lord! I control none except myself and my brother.
Therefore draw a separation between us and between people Al'Fasi'qeen-the wicked nation" [5:25]
Allah told him, "For reason/resultantly this land indeed is forbidden upon them, for forty years, they will be bewildered/shall wander lost in the Earth.
Therefore you do not grieve/feel sorry upon [this eventual end of] the people Al'Fasi'qeen-the wicked nation" [This is the last moment when the Messenger has declared and referred his nation as a nation comprising of Al'Fasi'qeen and requested for permission to apart from them. Where both the brothers with true believers went, we have not been told, and let us not unnecessarily guess like vain talkers throwing arrows in the dark] [5:26]
And you, the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] convey them the news of the two sons of Adam exactly as it happened when they both offered a sacrifice;
then for reason it was accepted from one of them and the other one whose sacrifice was not appreciated/accepted said to the other, "Indeed I will kill you". He replied, [the reason of non-acceptance is not me, why should you kill me] "Indeed Allah accepts the offerings from those who endeavour to avoid unrestrained conduct remaining heedful and mindful of Allah. [5:27] [Read in conjunction 22:37]
Rest assured that if you extend your hand towards me with the intention to kill me I will not extend my hand towards you with the intention of killing you [except to defend myself]
I fear Allah, the Sustainer Lord of the Worlds. [5:28]
My desire is that you be held guilty of my sin [if in self defense you get injured/killed] and your own sin if you kill me with the result that you be from amongst the companions of fire
[Same pronouncement in same words in 59:17] and that is the requital of the evil-doers/who commit excesses/are negatively extremists". [5:29]
Then his self-aggrandizement made it alluring for him to murder his brother,
resultantly he killed him for which reason he entered himself amongst the losers. [5:30]
[self-aggrandizement and fascination got over; problem of disposal of body of brother overtook him] For reason Allah sent a raven/crow who kept scratching and digging the earth
so that he showed to his eyes how he may bury the body of his brother.
He said, "Woe to me! Am I so incapable/helpless that I could be similar to this raven/crow so that I would have buried the body of my brother.
With this thought of regret he turned to be amongst the remorseful. [5:31]
Because of this happening between two brothers that one killed the other and became alone watching a crow digging earth [as if he had killed the entire humanity] We decreed for Bani Iesraa'eel
that whoever murdered/hanged a person without being guilty of murder of a person or of creating disturbance/disorder/chaos/panic in the Earth/country
then it is like as if he has killed the humanity collectively
and that whoever saves the life of one person then it is like as if he has saved the life of humanity collectively.
And in the past Our Messengers had indeed brought to them evident/distinct/unprecedented [miraculous] demonstrative Signs.
Afterwards indeed many from them even after having known such manifest signs/distinct Aa'ya'at of the Book are indeed such who commit excesses/extremities in the land.[5:32]
