 [Note] It should be remembered that it is not the written text/part/Ayah of سُورة  [Chapter 12] and hence it is never numbered. For convenience of those readers who are already believers, this is traditionally printed since it is commanded in the Qur'aan to read/recite with the Name of Sustainer Lord, The Creator.

  • Aleph: a letter; Laam: a Consonant with prolongation sign/glyph; Ra: a Consonant conjoined with preceding consonant.

  • These are the Aa'ya'at: Unitary Verbal Passages of the Book characteristically Explicit: conveyor of information in succinct, individuated, distinct and crystallized manner. [12:01]

  • It is a fact, Our Majesty has caused it compactly reach you in the form of a compiled book named Qur'aan having characteristic feature of text transcription in Arabic: a perspicuous, eloquent, distinctive and precisely expressive language; the language of the sons of soil of Arabian Peninsula.

  • The consideration for its compiled communication in Arabic is that you people might conveniently save it in memory, thoughtfully analyze the information differentiating fact from conjecture and reflect. [12:02]

  • Now We verbally narrate to you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] event by event the finest episode which We had conveyed to you in this Qur'aan [in writing earlier]

  • And it is a fact that you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] were one of those who were un-aware of it in times period before this Qur'aan. [12:03]

  • One day when Yu'suf [alai'his'slaam] said to his father: "O my father! It is a fact that I watched eleven planets, and the Sun and the Moon.

  • Father! I observed them as reverent coming nearer and paying obeisance for me." [12:04]

  • His father advised him, "O my dear son! mind it you should not narrate your dream to your brothers, for the reason that in sequel they might conspire a plot against you [by whispers of jealousy].

  • It is a fact that Shai'taan is a contentious, antagonistic enemy for human beings. [12:05]

  • And like this observation, your Sustainer Lord will choose you.

  • Know it; He the Exalted will make you learn deducting the final outcome-logical conclusive interpretation of the happenings, statements-dreams;

  • And will complete His blessing upon you and the family/followers of Ya'qoob [alai'his'slaam] like He had completed upon your two forefathers [grand father and grand grand father] Iebra'heim [alai'his'slaam] and Ies'hauq [alai'his'slaam]

  • Indeed your Sustainer Lord is the Fountain and Setter of knowledge-science of visible and invisible domains; and the Infinitely Just Supreme Administrator of the created realms." [12:06]

  • It is a fact that pearls-signs of wisdom are embedded in the affair between Yu'suf [alai'his'slaam] and his brothers, reminisce for the seekers of lessons from history. [12:07]

  • When they discussed amongst themselves: "It is obvious fact that Yu'suf and his mother-born brother are more beloved and nearer for our father than us despite we being a force; [deserving more attention and position]

  • It is obvious that our father is certainly forgetful/negligent of this fact. [12:08]

  • You kill Yu'suf or carry him to some other land/city;

  • The attention of your father will become exclusively focused for you people;

  • And you people would afterwards live as righteous people." [12:09]

  • A participant of discussion less emotional amongst them said; "you should not kill Yu'suf and instead lower him into the bottom of the ditch/channel.

  • Some of the passing by caravan will pick him up, if you people intend to act." [12:10]

  • They said, "O our father! What is the reluctance for you that you trust not upon us regarding Yu'suf while we are certainly the well wishers for him? [12:11]

  • You send him [Yu'suf alai'his'slaam] ] with us tomorrow that he should enjoy eating and drinking in greenery and playing, whereat we will certainly be taking care guarding him.".[12:12]

  • He replied, "Indeed it surely saddens me that you people might go along with him, and I fear that the wolf might eat him while you are negligent/unmindful of him." [12:13]

  • They argued, "Indeed if the wolf eats him while we as a group are there, then indeed in that case we are certainly the losers." [12:14]

  • Sequel to father's permission when they went taking him along and unanimously agreed to put him in the bottom of the ditch/dug channel;

  • While they were doing this We communicated to Yu'suf: "Certainly you will one day remind them about this act of theirs while they will have no thought of it." [12:15]

  • Afterwards they came back at early night to their father; they were weeping. [12:16]

  • They said, "O our father, indeed we went away in competition racing towards finish line;

  • While we had left Yu'suf near our possessions. Thereat in our absence the wolf ate him.

  • In this situation you will certainly not be believing us notwithstanding we are truthful." [12:17]

  • And they produced his shirt having stains of artificial blood upon it.

  • He said: "No, that is not the truth, in fact your inner-selves have instigated the matter for you.

  • Thereat, the hopefulness-steadfastness lies in dignified perseverance;

  • And Allah the Exalted is the Resort for what you people are conjecturing." [12:18]
