The corporeal Journey far beyond the ascensions of Earthly Universe

2. The Purpose of Unique Night Journey
4. The Night Journey beyond the Terminus of Earthly Universe was corporeal.
5. Ascension had no negative effect on visual faculty of the Elevated Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam]
We do not belong to this Universe comprising of Earth and the Sky, each layered in seven segments. Our origin is partly terrestrial; some constituent elements are earthly but the primary and vital element is water which is extraterrestrial matter, flash descended in measured quantity and stored in the Earth [refer 23:18]. We came into existence in areas beyond the space of Universe of Earth and Skies.
However, a happening caused us to leave that place and we came down to the Earth. Perhaps, all those present on the Earth would have observed, for the first time, a UFO-Unidentified foreign object landing with the first Man and the First Lady on board as governors enjoying discretionary powers to self administer their affairs [ref 2:30].

We were told that this descent and sojourn on the Earth is for a limited period and that we might be ascended back subject to we follow certain conditions. Our Universe, an Enclave comprising of seven Skies and the Earth, was created and subjected to the service of Human Beings. The impossibility to traverse and move out, or escape its frontiers is like this:

It
is a definite singular Noun. It should be noted that Sky is the one which was
stretched and made as seven Skies. Therefore, the doors of the Sky mean
the exit points for leaving our Universe and entering into foreign
domain-extraterrestrial space. It should further be noted that the information
regarding non opening of the Doors of the Sky is only about the
Criminals-Convicts.

A question might come to mind. Has someone travelled to Foreign Domain ever since Man landed on the Earth? Allah the Exalted affirmatively informs:

This Ayah 17:01 is one of those which was interpreted by many in time and space, not by its own words but mostly on strength of gossips, meaning casual conversation about personal events whether rumour or fact.
Ayah comprises of two sentences, one complex and the last one is simple. The first sentence is the breaking news about Unique Night Journey [Arabic: الإسراء والمعراج, al-'Isrā' wal-Mi'rāj]. Its update is mentioned in Chapter 53.
First thing to be noted is that there is no specific addressee in its text.
The text is Expository structure. In this structure it is not assumed the reader possesses the prior knowledge of the subject matter. Answer to any question that reader might have about the topic, it is answered. An expository writing contains a thesis statement, within the first paragraph, informing the reader the main argument of the text. The rest of it should provide relevant evidence to prove the argument and persuade the reader that the argument is credible.
Strictly adhering the accepted academic principles of translating a text and the rules of Arabic grammar-morphology and syntax, we should attempt to understand what is conveyed - the intended message in the Arabic text.

It is a Possessive Phrase. It relates to [الجملة مستأنفة ] Fresh sentence-initiating a new discourse with elided Verb.
: [مفعول مطلق لفعل محذوف]
Verbal noun; definite; accusative. It is Cognate Adverb for the elided
Verb of sentence. Its definition and recognition is that it is a Verbal
Noun-Infinitive with meaning very similar to mentioned or elided action.
Cognate Adverb is mostly used to explain the manner
or the multitude in which the action takes place; or to place intensive emphasis on the action. Their governing
words are often dropped particularly when emphasis is not the purpose.

:
It is a Verbal sentence with Verb:
Perfect; Third Person; Singular; Masculine; [Form-IV] مصدر-إِسْرَاءٌ
Verbal noun; Subject pronoun hidden referring back to Relative Pronoun-Allah the
Exalted. It is from Root: "س ر ى".
It means travelling, journeying in the night, in general
sense. Object of Verb-mode-device is elided. Earlier people estimated it as "Buraq"
from Root:
ب
ر ق
denoting lightening to signify enormous speed of travel.
We today can call it as UFO.
Core elements of Root " س ر ى" are:
the Traveller: he goes on a journey during the night; it is an activity in which the Traveller moves from a Source location in the direction to a Goal location along a Path - the route along which the travel takes place. This semantic frame emphasize the whole process of getting from one place to another, rather than profiling merely the beginning or the end of the journey.
The Mode of transportation expresses how the motion of the Traveller is effected, by their body or by a vehicle which holds and conveys the Traveller.
Non core entity is the Explanation for which the travel is undertaken; Time when the travelling occurs; and depiction of the state of the Traveller during the journey.
Form-IV Verb is Causative - Causing someone or something to perform the action of Measure I. For causing someone to undertake a journey you need to arrange the travel - transport. The perfect verb literally means that the subject of the verb [Allah the Exalted] caused the undertaking of a journey by someone.
: Prepositional
Phrase + Possessive Phrase: بـِ Inseparable preposition + Noun: Definite;
masculine; singular; genitive referring Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam + Suffixed Pronoun: Third person;
masculine; singular; in genitive state referring Allah the Exalted. The
Preposition بـِ renders the verb
transitive. It specifies the Person for whom travel was arranged by Allah the
Exalted.

[مفعول فيه: ظرف زمان متعلق بأسرى]
Locative Adverb: The locative adverb gives the time of
occurrence for an action.
Time Adverb: Indefinite; Masculine; accusative. A similar verbal sentence with
same Form-IV Imperative Verb of same Verbal Noun and similar structuring will
help us perceive the intended meanings. Use of this adverb is quite meaningful
since the Verb itself denotes travelling by night. It signifies that the
journey undertaken was initiated during night but its span of time was
short with relation to night.

Separable preposition. Its general meaning is directional:

It does not mean or necessarily include entering into a location.
It only denotes to reach the point where the boundary of another
location begins.
: Adjectival Phrase: Location Noun: Definite; singular;
Masculine; genitive. It is modified by:
which
is masculine Superlative noun. When
prefixed with definite article, it is used as Superlative, whereby it must be in
agreement in gender and number with that which it describes. Here, it
is used as (صِفَة)
adjectival portrayal of "The Mosque", signifying: "the Far distant; the Farthest; the Most distant;
Remotest". This Superlative Noun
is made from Root "ق ص و".
The basic perception infolded in the Root, in the words of Ibne Faris [died-1005] is:
That it leads to the perception of far distance
and deportation to far away, or to an utmost limit.
Lane's Lexicon signified the perception of proceeding to extremities and with reference to drinking water; it conveys meaning of drinking in the manner of exhausting the last drop which reflects extremity in any action. He emphasized its meanings as reaching and attaining the utmost by referring to various words made from it. |
يدلُّ على بُعدٍ و إِبعاد
|
The fact of reaching or attaining the utmost has the built in perception of elevation and altitude. Grand Qur’ān, for itself, is the best Lexicon. It exposes the perception and meanings of most of its words picturesquely by relationships and contrasts. Basic perception and meanings of the Root are unfolded at the very first place of its occurrence:

Humanity []-the Day when two forces confronted on the battlefield of Bad'ar.
First, the physical location of two armies is described. One, the addressee-Muslim, was on the piece of land lower in altitude-elevation while the approaching army was at a far off distance on a piece of land higher in altitude. The third group was stationed on a piece of land comparatively lower in altitude than the Muslim army location.

The Destination of Famous Night Journey
Allah the Exalted breaks a news for humanity and thereafter provides them the updates. The breaking news in the Ayah understudy is that the Elevated Messenger Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam was made to travel from within the Sacred Mosque in Mecca in upward direction towards the Extreme Distant Altitude Mosque. This signifies that there is no other mosque higher in altitudes. The purpose of this journey was to bring to his observation the Greatest Existent amongst the Miscellany of Physical realm created by Allah the Exalted.
What was the destination of this journey? Where was he Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam taken to highest and farthest altitude? What were the physical experiences, state and reactions of his sensory organs? Allah the Exalted has given us the updates about this breaking news about the Real Life Event:

The Night Journey beyond frontiers of Earthly Universe was corporeal
The information about the Ascending Journey is given under oath that emphasizes the absolute accuracy of the following response clause.

Stars are a subject of interest and understanding of organizations like NASA. We find in the encyclopaedias the nearest Star Proxima Centauri is more than 30 trillion km (20 trillion mi) from Earth. Further we know that while light from the Sun takes only about eight minutes to reach Earth; the farthest stars are so distant that their light takes billions of years to reach on Earth.
However, we feel surprised by the choice of words in the Grand Qur’ān which seem as if it were written for the readers of 21st Century. Qur’ān is not trapped in its original setting of 7th AD. When we read the
perception conveyed by Intransitive Verb:
we find it a picturesque description of
what is seen in 21st century as portrayed in Encyclopaedias
and by NASA. It is now visible to human eye that Stars collapse with some
collapsing completely to form a black hole.
NASA Science
Black Holes
"If the collapsed stellar core is larger than three solar masses, it collapses
completely to form a black hole: an infinitely dense object whose gravity is so
strong that nothing can escape its immediate proximity, not even light. Since
photons are what our instruments are designed to see, black holes can only be
detected indirectly. Indirect observations are possible because the
gravitational field of a black hole is so powerful that any nearby material -
often the outer layers of a companion star - is caught up and dragged in. As
matter spirals into a black hole, it forms a disk that is heated to enormous
temperatures, emitting copious quantities of X-rays and Gamma-rays that indicate
the presence of the underlying hidden companion."
I personally cannot challenge the observation and authoritative statement of NASA about Stars that nothing escapes in its immediate proximity, not even light form a Black Hole on complete collapse. However, Allah the Exalted has informed that an exception did happen:

The text that we are studying is Narrative - Factual Recount. The main structural components of a narrative are the orientation, the complication and the resolution. We see that complication is not stated in the text but it is obvious from this sentence, which is the resolution, that objects in the vicinity of the star-turned-black hole get disappeared, or are warped.
This information relating to a collapsed Star in
state of Black Hole might seem astonishing; may be this is the reason it
is emphasized by oath. According to
scientists and organizations like NASA,
everything in the proximity of a collapsed
Star that has become Black Hole will be
what is denoted by the Verb
.
Its Root is
"ض ل ل".
Its basic perception according to Ibne Faris
[died-1005] is:
الضاد واللام أصلٌ صحيحٌ يدلُّ على معنىً واحد، وهو ضَياع الشيء وذهابُهُ في غيرِ حَقِّه
That it leads to the perception of a thing getting lost, missing or vanished; and departure-adopting a course other than of justice, certitude, truth, light.
Lane's Lexicon quotes its uses and meanings in different contexts. However, as is the principle of Arabic Roots, the basic perception remains dominant and visible. It states: "a thing became lost---He, or it, (a man, or a camel, and a thing, was, or became, unperceived or imperceptible, unapparent, latent, hidden or concealed, or absent,----absent from her memory----unmindful".
This happening is emphatically negated
in his respect in these words:
.
The above fact about the Stellar becoming a Black Hole
and that nothing escapes, or gets lost in it is
not negated, only an exception is mentioned; "Your Guide Lord did not
vanish from sight".
Considering the effect of a Black
Hole, it is interesting that another possibility is also negated in respect
of Elevated Messenger Muhammad
Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam during ascending journey. It is
meaning, Moreover, neither he
warped.
Negated Verb
is also Past tense whose Subject refers
to
the Elevated Messenger. It denotes, to
quote Lane's Lexicon, "to err; deviate from the right way or course, or from that which was right:".
Allah the Exalted, while informing us about the details of that Night Journey beyond the frontiers of our Universe, praises the habit of the Elevated Messenger Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam, as under. However, we will skip its detailed grammatical analysis.

This sentence is parenthetical. This was necessary since nature of this episode is unique and such that it might remain fascinating, rather baffling, even for some scientists in timeline, and many people might consider it a fiction. It is particularly negated that the narrator Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam is not talking about this episode in vacuum; stating empty fictional thoughts, or wishful conjectures. What he is stating is but revelation by Allah the Exalted communicated to him.
Resuming the narrative of that Night Journey's happenings, it is told, indicating the elevated Messenger, as human being, was subject to physical laws and needed to learn piloting the vehicle which would take him along keeping him physically safe and sound to the destination:
|
|
|
|
:
It is a
complex verbal sentence. The perfect verb suffixed with fronted first
object is a doubly transitive verb. Second object of the verb is elided.
A direct object may be dropped if the grammar and the meaning allow it. If this
is the case, it is often considered more eloquent to drop since concise speech
is eloquent speech. Form-II verbs are
attributive-estimative/declarative:
derivative verb makes an
attribution to object; to consider someone or something to be something.
The Narrative is about a journey, therefore, the elided second object about which he was taught can be nothing other than "vehicle" for journey.
: It is a Possessive Phrase, the delayed subject of the verb.
: It is a Possessive Phrase, which
is adjectival portrayal of the preceding subject of verb.
:
This otherwise a verbal sentence is the subordinate clause of the
preceding topic sentence as it begins with prefixed conjunction
particle: فَ
which signifies cause and effect relation between the antecedent
clause and its following clause. It denotes that after having learnt
about the elided object of preceding verb. signifying vehicle for
journey, he the Messenger did the
action denoted by the intransitive verb. Verb is of Form-VIII, which has
the significance of doing the mentioned act with confidence, diligently.
The verb denotes to ascend from ground to space. Thus it is self evident the elided object of verb relates to learning about the object to be used for upward journey. For our convenience, we can name that object as UFO: unidentified foreign object used for space journey; or we may conceive it as "super spacecraft contained in a hyper-fast bubble".
|
This Nominal Sentence is the circumstantial clause
resulting by the preceding action. Personal
pronoun:
third person; masculine; singular; in nominative state is the
Subject of Sentence and refers to the Messenger
Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam.
The following Prepositional Phrase
relates to the elided Predicate of Nominal Sentence. The definite noun denotes
the specific horizon, the region, the border or extremity of a region.
This is qualified by Superlative Noun:
denoting elevation. After rising from
the Sacred Mosque in a town of Mecca, the first stop
over was at this place.
The use of circumstantial conjunct "Waw"
is meaningful and revealing. Use of conjunction particle "fa" or
would not have indicated the speed or suddenness of the arrival
from Land to the extremity of the Universe. It confirms that idea of space-time
can itself bend, expand or warp at any speed is not mere fiction. The idea of
creating warp bubbles seems a possibility.
Next phase of journey is also described:

|
|
: This connective particle is an adverb that indicates a sequential
action, coming later in time than the action in the preceding sentence
or clause. It occurs as
conjunction between two things different from each other in nature,
and reflects a break and time gap between both, not continuity. It does
not reflect the perception of relationship of cause and effect.
It indicates that he stayed
at the last horizon of our Universe
for some time and then
approached a domain
foreign to our Universe.
Verbal sentence: Verb: Perfect; Third Person; Singular;
Masculine; Intransitive; Subject pronoun hidden; مصدر-دُنُوٌّ
Verbal noun. It stems from Root:
د ن و. It signifies to compare
- contrast, measure - gauge something with something, and it is
to approach and draw nearer; in mathematics asymptote: a line
that draws increasingly nearer to a curve without ever meeting
it. Lane's Lexicon: To become near, or draw near, or approach.
Verbal sentence:
Prefixed Particle:
فَ
signifies cause and affect giving sequence of events and for
(الفصيحة)
eloquence, particularly at places where the effect describing element
conspicuously leads to the elided sentence/element; Verb: Perfect; Third Person; Singular;
Masculine; [Form-V]; Subject pronoun hidden referent to the allegiant of
Allah the Exalted (Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam); Intransitive;
مصدر-تَدَلِىٌّ
Verbal noun. Form-V has reflexive causative meanings.
The subject receives back
the impact of action. It generally depicts such
actions where the subject honestly and sincerely tries to transform
himself, and performs that action diligently. It has transformative meanings, Noun-ized; make
oneself to be Noun.
The meanings of form-V are simply the
meanings of form-II plus the word "himself." It stems from
Root:
د ل و,
which leads to the perception of approaching,
getting near to the thing with ease, facility and gentleness.
Thus Form-V verb means to hang, suspend from above with the
lower part dangling free. For suspending one takes hold of
borders of something above with hands. This state resulted:
|
|
Having made himself nearer to and hanging underneath the Seat of the Supreme Sovereign Sustainer Lord of all that exists in the Universes, thereat his position had become reduced to location just distant two-bow lengths or even lesser than that. Allah the Exalted focuses our attention to perceive it as a physical reality and not a science fiction, by telling us that he was then at a distance of two bow lengths, or in between distance was still less than that. At that place, Allah the Exalted verbally communicated some unitary verbal passages of Qur’ān to His Sincere Allegiant.

|
Though the apodosis clause [Ayah 53:2] as response to swearing is quite explicit to let the reader perceive that the journey was physical, it is emphasized by mentioning the response of sense organs of the Elevated Messenger Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam:
|
|
Our guide Lord Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam neither got effected by the Black Hole, nor was unmindful of his surroundings. His attention and concentration of mind was not distracted, despite being at the farthest elevations and beyond the boundary of our Universe. The brain-mind does not negate and contradict things in dreams watched during Rapid Eye Movement sleep, nor of people who remain on the astral planes. This happens only when man is physically and consciously watching something.
We are told the first stopover after departure from:
-the
Sacred Mosque in Mecca, during this unique journey was beyond Black
Hole. This space station is identified:
meaning
he was at the Highest Horizon. It is indicated that it
is beyond the frontiers of
Our Universe.

|
|
Allah the Exalted knew in advance that the enemies of the Elevated Messenger Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam will fabricate imaginary stories to suppress his utmost exalted honour which is exclusive for him. Referring to people's controverting, regarding his usual meetings with Gib'raa'eil alai'his'slaam, Allah the Exalted informs with emphasis of oath that what to say of meeting Gib'raa'eil alai'his'slaam on Earth, he [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] had even seen him once last time when he was ascending. This Ayah also indicates that Gib'raa'eil alai'his'slaam did not accompany him [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] during his journey.
: Verbal Noun:
indefinite; accusative. It denotes an instance-one time
descending. This is the circumstantial clause of verb.
is an adjectival description about one time descending, last occasion.
The Elevated Messenger was at

But where was Gib'raa'eil
alahissalam
when he once saw him descending? Allah the Exalted tells:
|

|
|
|
It is the Horizon that demarcates boundaries of two
spaces-Domains.
an active participle as descriptive term
for the Horizon signifies one that makes two locations distinguishable, drawing a
demarcation. This is the point where the Universe belonging to Earth ends and
its other side is the Domain from where Man was asked to descend long time back:
|
|
|
|
These
are two Possessive Phrases relating to preceding Verb
He had seen him.
here it is a definite location adverb.
Similarly
is
a
location Noun of Form-VIII which signifies extreme end, the Terminus.
:
It
is from Root "س د ر".
Ibn Faris [died-1005] stated that it signifies:
That it leads to the perception of becoming dazzled, amazed by the
brilliance causing excitement, uneasiness or confusion of sighting. Lane's Lexicon says, "He became dazzled by a thing at which he looked, so that he turned away his face from it: or became confounded, or perplexed, and unable to see his right course: syn. تَحَيَّرَ:-----He, or she, let down, let fall, or made to hang down, his, or her, hair; and in like manner, a curtain, or veil". |
يدلُّ على شِبه الحَيْرة واضطراب الرأي
|
It is thus evident from the Locative
Nouns, one descriptive of the Terminus, that it relates to the curtain layer
between the Terminus of one Domain-our Universe and the beginning of space of
another Domain foreign to earlier one. This location is further elaborated by
mentioning that by its side is
-
a Possessive Phrase, Subject of Nominal Sentence,
signifies, the Paradise-Garden of the
Abode, a place where the First Man and his Wife enjoyed the honour of staying as
guests therein.
Ascension had no negative effect on visual faculty of the Elevated Messenger
Another corporeal effect can also happen when a man ascends at a very high altitude. The stability and function of visual system is influenced at high altitudes. In 21st century we find this report,
NASA Finds that Space Flight Impacts Astronauts' Eyes and Vision
"Space flights that last six months or longer can cause changes in astronauts' eyes and vision, according to a new study sponsored by NASA......The new study examined seven astronauts in depth and found eye structure and vision abnormalities in all of them. The most common structural change was flattening of the back of the eyeball. Changes in the retina, the light-sensitive area at the back of the eye, and the optic nerve were also found. In some astronauts these changes persisted long after their return to Earth." (American Academy of Ophthalmology)
Allah the Exalted informs that it did not happen to His sincere allegiant during his ascending journey beyond the horizons of the Universe.
|
|
|
|
This is a Verbal Sentence. Verb is Perfect; third person; singular; masculine; مصدر-زَيْغٌ
Verbal noun. Lane's Lexicon states, "
زَيْغٌ
means A doubting, and a declining,
or deviating, from the truth". Its Subject is:
definite masculine Noun. It denotes focusing of eyes,
enabling then to perceive the object and also signifies the sensory organ eyes. This
is the most important information relating to fast upward movement into space. A
quote from
Wikipedia;
"The visual system in the brain is too slow to process information if the images are slipping across the retina at more than a few degrees per second. Thus, for humans to be able to see while moving, the brain must compensate for the motion of the head by turning the eyes. Another complication for vision in frontal-eyed animals is the development of a small area of the retina with a very high visual acuity. This area is called the fovea centralis, and covers about 2 degrees of visual angle in people. To get a clear view of the world, the brain must turn the eyes so that the image of the object of regard falls on the fovea. Eye movements are thus very important for visual perception, and any failure to make them correctly can lead to serious visual disabilities". |
The other negation is that
the Vision did not:
It is a Verb: Perfect; Second Person; Singular;
Masculine; Intransitive; Subject pronoun hidden; referring back to:
; مصدر-طُغْيَانٌ
Verbal noun. Classical Arabic lexicons state that the
basic perception infolded therein is that of brimming, bulging, or expanding
outward the measure, limits. Lane's Lexicon says, "الطُّغْيَانُ signifies the acting wrongfully in respect of the
limits of things and the measures thereof".
This information, mentioned in 7th century, negating any negative effect on Eyes and Vision of the Elevated Messenger Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam during the journey beyond the frontiers of our Universe to a Foreign Domain, is the irrefutable evidence that it was a physical journey as is now undertaken by astronauts in the near Earth space.
We have seen that the Leader of Humanity had
made his first stop over at:
,
beyond the Terminus of our Universe in the Foreign Domain and
above its first Zone where the Paradise is located. There,
he had watched once in his life Angel Gib'raa'eil
alai'his'slaam
descending by the side of Demarcating Horizon. Thereafter, he further ascended
and arrived near the Seat of the Supreme Sovereign and Sustainer Lord of
Universes-all that Exists in the created realm. The purpose of the journey was
fulfilled:
|
Let us express our gratitude to Allah the
Exalted by laying our foreheads on the ground, the executive authority of self
governance on the Earth and try to get nearer to become eligible for ascension
beyond:
to enter the Paradise. We must remember:
|
|
|
:
It
is definite singular Noun. It should be noted that Sky is one which was
stretched and made as seven Skies. Therefore, the doors of the Sky mean
the exit points for leaving Universe and entering into foreign
domain-extraterrestrial space. It should further be noted that the information
about non-opening of the Doors of the Sky is only about the
Criminals-Convicts.
