Ibn Faris [died-1005] stated:

الباء والراء والدال أصول أربعة:
أحدها خلاف الحَرّ، والآخَر السُّكون والثبوت، والثالث الملبوس، والرابع
الاضطراب والحركة
That it is contra. of heat, secondly it
conveys perception of calmness and endurance; clothing-wearing; and
lastly uneasiness and motion.
Semantic Domain: Temperature—Cold,
coolness, hail, icy.
Temperature is a bodily sensation communicated to the
brain by thermo-receptors in the skin. Temperature
is also a mental perception, based on the information communicated by
these thermo-receptors and integrated with world knowledge and memories.
Thermal comfort or discomfort is an emotional or affective experience
referring to the subjective state of the observer.

the Exalted made him/it a vertically layered
mass.

Thereupon, you see the rain-drops discharging from spaces midst it.

Moreover, He the Exalted keeps
intermittently causing descent, from the Sky, some hail
from within the
"Mountains-feminine/negatively charged" having
characteristic of containing within her hail.
[part of cumulonimbus-rising like mountain clouds].

Thereby, He the
Exalted makes him suffer
with its [masculine hail] descent whom He wills; and averts it from whom He wills.

The flash of lightening of it-Thunderstorm [masculine]
might soon impair the visions. [24:43]
-
Moreover, you
the Messenger
[Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] mention Our Sincere
Allegiant, Ayub
[alai'his'slaam].
Mention this episode when he called
upon his
Sustainer Lord,
saying,
"It is a fact that I am in pain,
Cobra has bitten me causing fatigue and pain".
[38:41]

Allah the Exalted responded, advising,
"You prod the ground with your heel/foot. [he did it water came up].
-
This is
cleanser/cleansing
location [to wash
the wound to remove away venom].
It gives cooling-soothing effect
[pain reducing therapy]. It is
also drinkable". [38:42]
