Ibn Faris [died-1005] stated:

(مقاييس اللغة)

الباء والشين والراء أصلٌ واحد: ظهور الشّيء مع حُسْنٍ وجمال. فالبَشَرة ظاهِرُ جِلْد الإنسان، ومنه باشَرَ الرّجُلُ المرأةَ

That it signifies the emergence, manifestation, occurrence, happening of a thing with its face beauty and proportional body structure: prettiness, handsomeness. It denotes the visible skin of the man; and from it is derived/inferred husband-wife sexual intercourse.

The effect on observing: حُسْنٍ وجمال in an object/person is gladdening and the result is feel of joy. Similarly the husband-wife sexual intercourse results in orgasm giving feel of joy, tranquility, serenity [refer 30:21]; and more than usually vigorous and alive.

Thereby, in Form-II verbs it signifies giving gladdening news relating to the acquisition or expectation of something good that triggers the feel of joy.

The first occurrence has disclosed its meanings quite vividly:

  • And you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] give glad tidings- assurance/guarantee to those who have heartily accepted- believed, and performed deeds-acts righteously-moderately: [as directed in the Book]

  • That gardens are in wait- prepared- promised for them where streams flow on lower side by it.

  • Every time they are fed variety of fruits there from as sustenance, they said: "This fruit is alike which was given to us aforetimes".

  • And they are given things in resemblance of their perceptions.

  • Moreover, spouses of purified- clean heart as companions-mates are assured for them therein.

  • Take note; they will abide therein permanently. [2:25]

The irreducible semantic feature is that the news is infallible fact, not a prophecy, it is as sure as it has happened for which reason the following verbs are perfect, in English grammar future perfect. Secondly, the promised things are such that the recipient can perceive them in his imagination as delightful and exhilarating. 

: This verb signifies joyful news distinct from happiness which is a temporary affair with reference to time frame based on outward circumstances. It is specifically mentioned that this news is about a joy that has permanence with reference to time frame.

The pronouncement was: . This news negates hypothetical, conjectural myths propagated by the pseudo-intellectuals about emergence of human beings through so-called evolutionary process. The object of the intended creation was introduced by the cognition code/name: . The basic perception of its Root "ب ش ر", is the Skin. The circumstantial state, shape, or physical appearance of this intended object does not find mention in the informative sentence. However, it is manifestly evident by mention of the "raw material" selected for composing/coagulating it, that it was "a frame, mould, body, and structure".  Human Person has an apparent structure, physical body::

  • Moreover, another fact about those Messengers of aforetimes is that We had not assigned them exceptional bodies of characteristic feature that they did not keep eating food/meals.

  • The Grand Qur'aan is the Testifier-Affirmer-Certifier-Sanctifier of that which was sent in times before it.

  • Moreover, it is a Guide in every moment of life and conveyer of glad tidings for those who have heartily accepted-believed in it. [2:97]

  • People who persistently deny the Aa'ya'at: Unitary passages of the Book of Allah the Exalted;

  • And who embark upon character assassination of : the Chosen and exalted Allegiants of Allah the Exalted by contrary to fact slanderous and libelous statements to distance-ill-repute them from people's reverence;

  • And they ill-repute and distance those people of society who bid for balanced and just conduct:

  • Accordingly, they indeed deserve recompense; therefore, you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] give them the "good news" of severe torment in wait for them. [3:21]

 

  • And Allah the Exalted had declared that information for no purpose except a rejoicing news for you people and for the purpose that your hearts might feel calm and tranquil by this disclosure.

  • And beware that help comes from nowhere except from Allah the Absolute Dominant Sovereign; the Knower of the evident and secreted and infolded. [3:126] also 8:10

Tranquility of heart.

  • They are elated by reason of that which Allah the Exalted has granted them out of His bounty.

  • And they rejoice for those whom they left behind and have not yet joined them;

  • That fear will not overshadow-haunt them. Neither will they have a cause to grieve. [3:170]

Farah is what has been attained; Bashr is related to future!!

  • They keep rejoicing the grace and bounty they have received from Allah the Exalted.

  • Be cognizant: Allah the Exalted causes not the reward of the believers to perish. [3:171]

  • And He the Exalted sends the Winds, evidently indicator-forerunner of His grace.

  • Subject to and till such time the Winds felt densely laden middle-dragging cloud light in carrying its weight, We dragged the middle cloud heading it for a land which was characteristically dead.

  • Thereby, for reason of condition no more existing and destination arrived, We caused descent of the Water accompanying this Cloud.

  • Whereby, we sprouted with it plant kingdom-all sorts of fruits.

  • Like this physical process, Our Majesty will resurrect the dead.

  • Know this process so that you people might inculcate resurrection in memory and take lesson. [7:57]

  • Their Sustainer Lord congratulates them with pleasing news of mercy and consenting approval, and gardens;

  • Characteristic feature of gardens is that enduring bliss is ensured therein for them.  [9:21]

  • They will reside therein permanently and indefinitely.

  • Indeed, Allah the Exalted awards by His Grace great and splendid reward. [9:22]

They are destined to be in this state forever.

  • And when a Surat: demarcated chapter of Qur'aan is revealed, thereat, a cunning amongst them, the Imposter believers, asks: "Who is amongst you whom it has enhanced in terms of conviction and faith?"

  • The consequence of revelation is that it has enhanced, those who have truly believed, in terms of conviction and faith while rejoicing the revelation. [9:124]

  • And when one of them is congratulated with news of daughter's birth, his face is veiled blackish,  becoming exhibitor of  darkened expression;

  • While he is in a state of disconcert; [16:58]

  • He hides from people considering that news as disgrace he was congratulated, contemplating the options:

  • Should he retain the news at the cost of disgracing humiliation or conceal that news in the mud.

  • Be mindful, Evil and abominable is what they order/decide for people. [16:59]

  • Allah the Exalted is the One Who keep sending the winds [in state of uplifting aerosols-condensation nuclei resembling semen of stallion]

  • Thereby, having reached the destination, those Winds causing erethism, excitement charging the atmosphere rise-originate a cloud.

  • Thereat, He the Exalted spreads-expands-extends it out or forth within the Sky in state He the Exalted so wills.

  • And He the Exalted made it-formed Cloud as fragmented-layered aggregate.

  • Thereupon, you see the rain-drops discharging from spaces midst it.

  • Therefore, when He the Exalted at will favoured some amongst His servants-human beings, they become self joyous. [30:48]   

  • And that they were earlier certainly despairing and disappointed before that water was sent upon them. [30:49]

This compares two states; despair vs joy.

Feeling joyless is the condition as if lights are dimming, the light that is us. Even our eyelids begin to close down a tiny bit when joy goes away. Our lips begin to drop. The energy drain away from our bodies.

How different is when we feel joy. Eyes open wide, smiles beaming, energy flowing through our bodies. It really is as though our light was shining then. What is this light? What is it that shows up on our faces and in our bodies? Where does it come from?

I think most of us believe in higher power. One thing we can say about higher power is that it is the source of life, the creator. And we also know deeply that, as a creation, we are attached somehow to this higher power.

It is that attachment that is alive in us. It's the life force that cannot be pinned down by scientists. It feels like light. It has a glow like light when it shows up on our faces and in our bodies.

And we know that light is the giver of life. And in physics we know that light is the carrier of visual messages that travel at the speed of light.

One thing that makes us human is that we can recreate these instants in our imagination.

  • Laughing joyfully/achievement pleasure; [80:38-39]

skin, to skin, to be in skin-to-skin contact, first signs, to give good tidings, human being. feel happy.

The physiology of joy showing in our smiling faces, beaming eyes, and alive bodies is our natural state,

What joy is physically,  to our bodies and how it works. When we experience, notice what your body is doing.

Attitude is how I program my brain to make choices automatically.

One attitude that seems to point directly towards joy is the attitude of gratitude. If we're programmed to find things to be thankful for, we tend to see the joy in those things/ people/ events.

An attitude that points away from joy is the attitude of victim. Bad stuff keeps happening to me because the world is against me. Choosing the role of victim is popular.

Not only does the skin protect us, it truly adds to our pleasure in life. Every caress, every hug, every warm embrace... every nurturing gesture we’ve ever received has been processed through our skin.
