Ibn Faris [died-1005] stated:

That it signifies the commencing, beginning, introducing, initiation of a thing and matter-affair.

في أَسماءِ اللّهِ عزَّ وجل الـمُبْدئ: هو الذي أَنـْشَأَ الأَشياءَ واخْتَرَعَها ابْتِداءً من غيرِ سابقِ مثال

This is one of the Epithets of Allah the Exalted who causes existence - appearance of things and its original creativity without their being an example before its taking existence.

Grand Qur'aan has endorsed the opinion of lexicographers rendering its meanings and perception vivid as initiation of an activity, process:

  • Sequel to squally: the exchange of heated accusations of lying between caravan/his brothers and his officials; he: Yu'suf [alai'his'slaam] had personally started checking beginning with the saddlebags of step brothers before checking the saddlebag of his brother. [refer 12:76]

  • He the Exalted is the One Who appropriately proportioned/synchronized/harmonized and balanced each and all things that He the Exalted has created.

  • Further be informed, He the Exalted had initiated the Process of creation of Human Being corporeally with extract drawn from wet-clay. [32:07]

Everything that exists owes its existence to the One Who gave it origin. Prior to it becoming existent for others, its thought, blue print, form, features, physical properties, purpose, objective are solely and exclusively with its Creator. Before appearance in physical realm it was already an entity, we may say an abstract entity.

Man dies, becomes rotten bones and dust or iron structures, fossils, but in the likening of their initial process of creation, they will be resurrected, relapsedreverted to original state;

  • That Day We will fold back the Sky layered into seven like the folding of scrolls of parchments/papyrus meant for writing the books.

  • Like the manner We initiated - originated creation in the first instance, will cause his relapsereverted to original state;

  • This is a promise - obligation upon Us. Indeed We are the innovatively doer of things. [21:104]

  • Indeed Allah the Exalted initiates the creation; and after pause of time will cause his relapsereverted to original state;

  • Thereafter, you will be presented before Him the Exalted for accountability (on your turn to tell you what you did in worldly life).[30:11]

Man's initial invigoration and last invigoration are similar phenomenon:

  • You people will return alive like your initial invigoration by Him the Exalted. [ref 7:29]
