الحاء والواو والطاء كلمةٌ واحدة، وهو الشيء يُطِيفُ بالشيء.

It signifies a thing surrounded by another; another thing moving around it.


Lane's Lexicon: He guarded, kept, kept safely, protected, or took care of, him, or it; He surrounded it by some such thing as earth, so as to make this to encompass it.; he people surrounded, encompassed, environed, encircled, or beset, the sides of the town.

  • Know it; Allah the Exalted is all-encompassing those who are deniers - non-believing. [Refer 2:19]

  • Recall, We had stated to you disclosing that your Sustainer Lord has full awareness about the people;

  • And We had not rendered the dream which We had shown to you [in hard days regarding giving you the control of Ka'aba-48:27] except as a trial and liquefying irritation for people;

  • And same liquefying irritation is the purpose of mention of the aversive tree in the Qur'aan [in 37:63]

  • And We terrorize them, but for reason warnings do not benefit the heedless people, it enhances them not but in over-brimming/inordinate transgression. [17:60]

  • But they can not encompass - comprehensively grasp any material-physical or abstract entity loaded with partial information of the Knowledge of Him the Exalted. Exception is only to that information which He the Exalted desired to share - acquaint them with. [Refer 2:255]
