That it signifies an icon: somebody or something widely and uncritically admired, adored and worshipped.

This Root is also the part of the THEME of Grand Qur’ān:

Allah the Exalted is the only exception from the elided predicate of genus negation particle. Thus all epithets that are exclusive for Allah the Exalted can be estimated as elided predicate since none of those have any association with hypothetical, imaginative, delusional miscellany of godheads created and assumed by many people in time and space.
