Lane's Lexicon: He spread it;  he dispersed it, scattered it, or disseminated it;

  • And that He the Exalted spread apart within it different kinds belonging to species animal; [refer 2:164; 31:10]

  • And fine carpets spread out [for party-gathering of friends]. [88:16]
