• Realize it, He the Exalted is the One Who has appointed and rendered for you people the night as like wrapper -garment—source of comfort - seclusion from others.

• And the sleep as a source-cause of rest and restraint to free action;

• And He the Exalted has appointed and rendered the Day for revival - scattering - social activity. [25:47]

And We appointed the sleep of you people as rest/suspension from conscious activity. [78:09]

: It is related to night and sleep and contrasted with the appearance and dispersal in society and commercial-economic activity in the day time. Sleep isolates a person from the company of others. It results in forcible suspension of decisive power of will, movement and activity. The perception and meanings having become so unambiguously evident, it renders the prohibition imposed upon the Bani Iesraa'eel as the Day of Rest and Suspension of Commercial activity.
