Know it; We did not teach poetry to him: the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam]. Nor it is befitting that he should desire learn it for himself.
This is not poetry; it is but the Reminder-Admonisher-Revivalist; and it is Qur'aan characteristically explicit: conveyor of information in succinct, individuated, distinct and crystallized manner. [36:69]
The objective is that he the Messenger may alarm him who resembles a truly alive person. [Ref 36:70]
Let us see the verdict announced by Qur'aan as to what is constitutive of human life; and what is that must be absent before the person can be considered dead notwithstanding biological functions of lung and heart are maintained:

It is a fact that only such people reasonably-rationally answer-respond who listen comprehensibly.
And as for the dead are concerned, Allah the Exalted will revive-resurrect them.
Thereafter, by lapse of time they will be forced towards Him the Exalted. [6:36]
Fear is a fundamental aspect of survival. All living protect themselves from dangerous situations in order to survive. Fear is an ability to recognize or perceive danger resulting in urge to confront it or flee from it or a freeze or paralysis response is possible.

Take note; the living and the dead are not alike. [physically and metaphorically]
Allah the Exalted certainly, whomever He wills, make him listen, alive or dead.
But you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] cannot make those listen who are in the graves [physically or metaphorically], [35:22]
You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] are but the revivalist-awakener-Admonisher for the alive. [35:23]

It is true that you, the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] cannot make the dead persons listen you;
and neither you can make the deaf men listen/comprehend the call/word the moment they reflexively transformed turning away on their backs. [27:80]
[A deaf man can be made to "listen and learn" if he is confronting-watching eye to eye but not when he has turned on his back-Qur'aan disclosed in 7th Century that Deaf have the capability to "listen, learn and get educated". But, according to Encyclopedia Encarta, until the Middle Ages, most people believed that deaf persons were incapable of learning language or of being educated in any way. By the 16th century, however, a few philosophers and educators began to reconsider the condition of deaf persons].

And nor you, the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] can act as a Guide for the blind hearted men from their willful negligence and indifference/subdued by passion/conjecture and worldly lusts.
You cannot cause a man listen in mind except the one who believes in Our Aa'ya'at [of the Book and demonstrative physical unprecedented signs] whereupon they act as Muslims, those who physically demonstrate submission to the fact of believing by following the prescribed Code and Procedure of Life-Islam. Know it that those-members of ruling elite who knowingly refused to accept the Book, advised others;
"You people should not be attentive for listening this Qur'aan.
Instead, you devise and spread conjectures-palavers about it for roping away-limiting its efficacy.
The objective is that it might enable you people retain the dominating authority by rendering it nugatory" [41:26]

Know it that they further said, "Had we listened or had we applied intellect/differentiating faculty we would not have been in the resident company/group of high/scorching temperature of Hell-Prison" [67:10]
Thus they consciously confessed the guilt of their sins, resultantly condemnation is for the residents of the scorching Hell-Prison. [67:11]
[are concerned, those who do not listen, take the word of Qur'aan into their memory/brain],
It requires also some agreed understanding of what is constitutive of human life, and what it is that must be absent before the person can be said to be dead. This is not a simple worry about misdiagnosis (as though everyone agreed about what it is that is to be diagnosed and disagreed only about the safety of present criteria). One must first ask the question about what it is that is supposed to be being diagnosed. For if there is confusion at this level, there will be confusion all the way along the line. To gain an understanding of this question, it is helpful to trace the history of the development of definitions of death in the UK.
This longstanding definition of death was critically undermined by developments in medical technology. First, the introduction of assisted ventilation and heart-bypass machines showed that the biological functions of lung and heart could be maintained artificially. The delivery system could be replaced, and thus they could no longer be considered constitutive of human life. Then in 1967 the first human heart transplant operation was successfully performed. If the heart could be bypassed or even entirely replaced then it could not contain the essence of the human person. Every organ seemed to be replaceable in this way apart from one, the human brain. Your heart can die without you dying, but it would seem that, if your brain dies, you die.
In other words, a diagnosis of brain death implies that the patient will certainly not recover, not that the patient is dead already.
On the one hand it has been argued that the brain is the organ that integrates and organises the rest of the body. So, it is argued, when the brain is completely dead, the body has no centre and cannot be thought of as a living organism. The organs may still be alive but the system as a whole is defunct and only the continual support of artificial ventilation gives the temporary appearance of continued life. In reality the body is dead.
Brain death occurs when a person no longer has any activity in their brain stem and no potential for consciousness, even though a ventilator is keeping their heart beating and oxygen circulating through their blood.
When brain stem function is permanently lost, the person will be confirmed dead. Listening is often confused with hearing. While hearing is a biological process that can be scientifically explained, listening is a psychological phenomenon. Listening is psychological because it requires internal contextual contemplation of the sound waves. This internalization requires the use of social connotation which implies bias. According to philosopher Roland Barthes, listening can be understood on three levels: alerting, deciphering, and an understanding of how the sound is produced and how the sound affects the listener.
Grand Qur'aan is written in the manner to cope with the needs of bicameral brain.
It is widely known by now that the brain is a bicameral entity in the human body system. Bicameral in the sense that there are two chambers in the brain that perform and respond to different functions and stimuli. A right-brained personality will tend to view things in a holistic way, rather than paying attention to finer details. He has an ability to understand and appreciate the bigger picture, the larger meaning of things. A left-brained person would rather look into the finer details and analyze those.
