Ibn Faris [died 1005] stated:

(مقاييس اللغة)

النُّونُ وَالطَّاءُ وَالْقَافُ أَصْلَانِ صَحِيحَانِ: أَحَدُهُمَا كَلَامٌ أَوْ مَا أَشْبَهَهُ، وَالْآخَرُ جِنْسٌ مِنَ اللِّبَاسِ.

That it signifies speech, verbally orate or that which is like it, and gender related dress.

لنُّطْقُ في التّعارُف: الأصواتُ المُقَطّعة التي يُظْهِرُها اللسّانُ وتَعِيهَا الآذَانُ

  • Know it, they will not be subjected to any injustice [not even iota of it]. [23:62]

  • اور ان (اوپر بیان کردہ اوصاف والے)لوگوں کے ساتھ قطعی کوئی زیادتی نہیں ہو گی(خلعت کامرانی عنایت کرنے میں)

  • And Sulie'maan [alai'his'slaam seems to be his only son] inherited the wealth and legacy of Da'wued [alai'his'slaam] —

  • And he (Sulie'maan alai'his'slaam) said, "O people, we have been taught the language - communicating sounds of the birds —

  • And we have been given partly all sorts of material thing —

  • Undoubtedly this is certainly that which is the manifest distinction and blessing." [27:16]

  • And the Word/Promise got happened/executed upon them, because they people did wrong —

  • Thereby they will not be able to speak. [27:85]

  • What is the matter with you that you do not speak". [37:92]

  • And they said for [to] their skins, "Why have you testified against our selves?"

  • They said, "Allah the Exalted has granted us the capability of verbal oration, the One who has caused the ability of speech to everything that intelligibly communicate".

  • And He the Exalted is the One Who created you people in the first instance —

  • This is the Book of Our Majesty, it narrates to you people only the established fact—

  • Indeed Our Majesty kept transcribing those acts which you people were performing." [45:29]
