Ibn Faris [died 1005] stated:

(مقاييس اللغة)

الجيم والواو والراء] أصلٌ واحد، وهو المَيْل عن الطَّريق.

ومن الباب طَعَنَه فجَوَّره أي صَرَعه.

That it signifies deviating from the right course.

  • Take note; you people be exclusively subservient-allegiant to Allah the Exalted.

  • And you people should never associate anyone-anything as partner-associate with Him the Exalted.

  • And look after your parents with affectionate kindness —

  • And so with kindred-family-clan-relationship of affinity; and the father-orphans and those in need-destitute;

  • And with the neighbour who is close relative; and with the stranger neighbour in vicinity; And with the companion-colleague —

  • And with the wayfarer —

  • And with those upon whom right hand of you have the authority and are managing their affair-domestic servants in your submission and under your protection emigrant married women in  matrimonial bond of a Non Believer.

  • Remember; Allah the Exalted certainly does not appreciate-approve such person who is conceited, the arrogant, and the boastful — [4:36]

  • Be informed; When Shai'taan had made their deeds, preparations alluring for them —

  • And inspired/said for them: "None at all a dominant is there amongst the people who could be overpowering for you people in battle today. And I am by your side - neighbourhood."

  • Subsequent to advancing, when the two hostile forces came in sight to each other he (Shait'aan) turned away on his heels:

  • Announcing,  "I am absolved from you people [what I inspired earlier to you]. Indeed I am seeing [Angels were coming in succession] what you people are not seeing. Certainly I fear Allah."

  • The fact remains that Allah the Exalted is stern in dispensing justice-awarding due punishment to criminals. [8:48]

  • And if someone of the polytheists desirous of meeting seeks protection of you, thereat, you the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] grant him the protection until he might listen the Parlance-Message of Allah the Exalted: Grand Qur’ān.

  • Afterwards he has listened,  you make him securely cross over to his place of safety.

  • This secure opportunity to listen Qur’ān is because they, the polytheists, are a people who do not know [the Book of Allah since they were not given a book earlier] [9:06]

  • Tracts neighbouring each other, and gardens of vines, and fields sown and ploughed grain crops and palm trees are all  in the Earth —

  • They sprout from seed/grain and from other than seed: suckers, off shoots, grafting —

  • They all are watered with the same water —

  • But Our Majesty has granted to some distinction/nutritional richness over some others in diet.

  • Indeed signs indicating the existence of the Creator and Setter of sciences are obvious in the foretasted existents for people who use faculty of reason and intellectual inquiry. [13:04]

  • Take note, the direction of the Course-High road is incumbent upon Allah the Exalted to manifest for people. But a wanderer - deviant journeys away from it.

  • Know it, had He the Exalted so willed, He would have certainly led you, all together, on the determined path. [but that was not the scheme/purpose of creation]. [16:09]

  • You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] ask them, "Who is He in Whose hands is the system of governance/dominion of each and everything that exists;

  • And He the Exalted secures - protects - provides asylum and none is secured from Him —

  • If you people understand/know it?" [23:88]

  • [therefore it was pronounced] A proclamation that if the Muna'fi'qeen, and those—Irrational beliefs - a disease - psychological disorder - envy, jealousy, and malice, bias, rancour is self implanted- nurtured within their hearts- locus of understanding - consciousness; and they the creators of disturbance and disquiet in the city Madina did not desist:

  • Our Majesty will certainly let you overpower them definitely, thereafter, they will not remain your neighbours except for a little while— [33:60]

  • O our people! consciously respond to the Herald of Allah the Exalted (Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam) —

  • And affectionately believe him.

  • He (Allah the Exalted) would forgive you for your sins and ill doings of the past —

  • And He the Exalted would protect you from severe infliction. [46:31]

  • You the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce, "Have you given it a thought that if Allah the Exalted kills me and those who are with me or He showered mercy upon us—

  • Thereat who will rescue/protect the Non-Believers from the painful punishment?" [67:28]

  • You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce, "Indeed I do know that none can ever protect me against Allah the Exalted —

  • And never ever I can find any refuge apart from Him the Exalted. [72:22]
