Classical Lexicons

  • Sexually inciting preliminary activities directed towards your wives were permissible during the night of the Fasting for you people.

  • They (respective) wives are apparel for you people and you are apparel for them.

  • Allah the Exalted has known-observed that by self imposed restriction you people diligently kept lessening-suppressing the rights of your own selves. Thereby, He the Exalted has paid attention upon you to move you out of self imposed restrictions, and has since removed erroneous perception away from you.

  • Therefore, after this clarification henceforth undertake mutual-consented intercourse with them in the nights of fasting and you people seek its result [not son or daughter but] that which Allah the Exalted has written for you people.

  • And you people eat and drink during the night till the horizontal white line renders itself for you people distinguishable emerging from unfolding of the day - daybreak—delineated from the horizontal line-layer of black-obscure colour —

  • Thereafter, you are directed to complete the fast spatiotemporally towards the setting in of night -Sun set: beginning of a new lunar day.

  • Take note; you people should not establish intimate mutually consented matrimonial contact-intercourse on visiting them (respective wives) during the currency of the period you are devotee in reclusion inside the Mosques.

  • These—afore stated are the limits-restraints-demarcations prescribed by Allah the Exalted; Therefore, you people should not approach their boundaries [overstep/transgress-2:229].

  • This is how Allah the Exalted explicitly explicates His Aa'ya'at: Verbal  Passages of Qur’ān rendering each point-concept-situation distinctly isolated and crystal clear for the people—

  • So that they might endeavour to protect their selves. [2:187]


  • [a severe punishment in wait for them] On the Day when some faces will be brightened and some faces blackened.

  • Thereat, as for those whose faces blackened, they will be asked (by Angels who recognize by apparent signs): "Did you people disavowed after remaining in the state of belief?

  • Therefore, you people taste and suffer the punishment for the reason that you you kept disavowing." [3:106]


  • And regards those whose faces will be brightened, it is because they are under the umbrella of the Mercy of Allah the Exalted.

  • They will abide therein indefinitely. [3:107]


  • And the moment he (Mūsā [alai'his'slaam]) drew out his hand, after putting in his armpit through neckband, it was pure shining white without spot for the onlookers. [7:108]


  • And he turned away from them —

  • And sighed, "O my longing! for Yu'suf (get true)."

  • And his eyes became white by the grief —

  • Thereby, he was distressed. [12:84]


  • And take out your hand after entering it in your neckband towards your axilla - armpit, it will come out as pure shining white without spot; it is another unprecedented display - sign — [20:22]


  • And the moment he (Mūsā [alai'his'slaam]) drew out his hand, after putting in his armpit through neckband, it was pure shining white without spot for the onlookers. [26:33]


  • And enter your hand into your neckband—towards Axilla/armpit, it will come out as pure shining white without any spot —

  • These two are included in Nine unprecedented displays—miraculous signs towards Fir'aoun/ Pharaoh and his nation.

  • Indeed they have been a people deviants and limits violator. [27:12]


  • Enter your hand into your neckband—towards Axilla/armpit, it would come out; shining white—without any spot;

  • And ward your hand towards your self in the state of frightening amazement.

  • Thereat on reaching there; these two [out of nine] are evidences from your Sustainer Lord for demonstration to Fir'aoun/Pharaoh and his Chieftains.

  • Indeed they have been a people deviants and limits violator. [28:32]


  • Do you not see [reflect/study/investigate] that Allah the Exalted dropped water from the sky —

  • Thereby Our Majesty sprouted fruits with it (water). Noticeable peculiarity of these fruits is that their colours give varying hue —

  • And Our Majesty took out with it (water) stripes/streaks, white and reddish, from some of the mountains; their (stripes/streaks) colours give varying hue —

  • And some mountains are intrinsically intensely/jet black. [35:27]

  • They will be enjoying a round of chalice with drink from the flagon — [37:45]

  • White, delicious and enjoyable for the drinkers — [37:46]


  • And by their sides are their wives who restrict gaze of their eyes — [37:48]

  • Like as if they were pearls protected in shells. [37:49]
