Lightening is a ray of hope of profitability.

How often does lightning occur on our planet in a year?

There are probably 1500 to 2000 thunderstorms active around the world at any one time. It has been estimated from satellite observations that lightning flashes approximately 50 -100 times per second on a global basis. Lightning therefore flashes as often as three billion times each year across the whole planet.

Allah the Exalted has informed the humanity in Grand Qur’ān:

  • He the Exalted is Who keeps showing to you people the lightening, causing a state of fear, and generating hope of profitability. [release of atmospheric nitrogen brought down by rain-sustenance 45:05].

  • And He the Exalted originates-gives first appearance to the Middle drifting-trailing Cloud who gradually and successively attains densely compacted characteristic. [13:12]

  • And that He the Exalted keep showing the Lightening to your eyes causing a state of fear and generating hope of profitability is evoker of thought process indicated by His Signs - cognizable phenomena

  • And that He the Exalted sends water from the Sky, thereby, He rejuvenates/revives the Land with it (water) after her death.

  • Indeed signs indicating the existence of the Creator and Setter of sciences are obvious in the foretasted existents for people who use faculty of reason and intellectual inquiry. [30:24]

Grand Qur’ān is to stay permanently, a guide in time and space, and a statement of fact.  It is necessary that whatever is therein, it should be easily perceivable by every reader in time and space notwithstanding the level of information and knowledge available to him. Moreover, it must remain a fact according to the enhanced knowledge of each individual in time and space.

The Grand Qur’ān is composed of Aa'ya'at: verbal unitary passages mirroring established realities and facts. These are categorized as: , [Passive Participle] those who have the adjectival specification of containing commands and injunctions of firm, established and universal application. They at their own have no further role to perform. The other category of verbal unitary passages are: [Active Participle] those who perform the act of  mirroring invisible realities and facts through metaphorical presentations. Since they are the active participle, therefore, they will keep performing the job of relating invisible realities, at any given point in time, in accordance with the level of knowledge acquired by people.

The information is that the effect of lightening, in addition to causing  mind to perceive threat, also generates a ray of hope of profitability. Both the perceptions are opposite to each other. : It means fear and apprehension of emerging a threat of loss and unpleasant happening. On the other hand: is a strong desire and inclination to gain advantage and profit.

The fear: from lightening is common to human beings of all times and space. The simultaneous state of: was also understood since lightening gives the hope of rain. The statement was a fact for those who listened or read the Qur’ān hundreds of years back and is a fact when we read it today after having known affect of lightening in the atmosphere which causes descending of "sustenance and food" for the "demised Earth-lost the salient feature of life-production".

  • And in the phenomenon of alteration-revolving-circular pursuit of the Night and the Day

  • And in that Allah the Exalted has dropped from the Sky which is part of sustenance/food

  • Thereby, He the Exalted rejuvenated with it (water) the Earth after its demise/drying up

  • And in the phenomenon of atmospheric circulation-changing directionscurving the Winds

  • These are the existential - signs that are explicitly distinct for such people who recognize, differentiate, relate and reflect-people of critical thinking. [45:05]

Lightening is a ray of hope of profitability.

"Lightning is not all bad, however. The soil is enriched with nitrogen that is released from the atmosphere by lightning and carried to the ground by raindrops."  Nitrogen composes about four-fifths (78.03 percent) by volume of the atmosphere. Nitrogen is inert and serves as a diluents for oxygen in burning and respiration processes. It is an important element in plant nutrition; certain bacteria in the soil convert atmospheric nitrogen into a form, such as nitrate, that can be absorbed by plants, a process called nitrogen fixation. {biological or industrial process by which molecular atmospheric nitrogen is converted into a chemical compound that is essential for plant growth} With thanks quoted from Microsoft ® Encarta 2006. © 1993-2005 Microsoft Corporation
