  • And We ordained upon them therein the Tor'aat:

  • That a person for a person;

  • And an eye for an eye;

  • And nose for a nose;

  • And ears for ears;

  • And a tooth for a tooth;

  • And for wounds; retaliatory punishment is to be pursued.

  • Thereby, whoever forgoes the excess-wrong done to him, thereat, it is for him an expiation [for his other wrong doings].

  • Be mindful; if anyone in timeline decided and commanded not by that: the Book which Allah the Exalted communicated:

  • Thereby such people are truly the evil-doers-distorters-creators of imbalances-disorders-over stepping. [5:45]

A word: made from this Root is once used in Ayah 47:16 which is translated as "just now" by almost all the translators. It were erroneous translations since the word is used as circumstantial adverb while "just now" is time adverb.

  • Know it; Some of them pretend attentively listening to you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam];

  • Until immediately after they had departed from your place;

  • They in nasal tone asked those bestowed with knowledge, "What has he said?"

  • They are the people Allah the Exalted has let the veil persist upon their hearts;

  • And they have consciously made themselves follow their own lusts and conjectures. [47:16]

Nasal tone is used to indicate sarcasm that has connection with disgust. Similarly nose wrinkling, non-verbally shows disgust at something.
