And those who have [falsely and deceptively] declared to have believed say to others, "Why is it that a Surat [demarcated Chapter] has not been sent/communicated" Thereat when a Surat [mouh'kma'tun; feminine, singular, passive participle] the peculiarity/ individuality of which is made to/that it contain straight/stable/permanent /injunctions/commands; was sent/communicated and therein was the prescriptive mention of confronting the war you saw/noticed those in the hearts of whom there is disease [Muna'fi'qeen] that they were looking towards you, the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam], with a glance blanketed with the fear of the death.
Thereby [on revelation of the Surat] the preferably better course of conduct for them was [47:20] [Read with 4:81;24:53] acceptance of the word with inclination of heart and a statement of straightforward import.
Thereat when the matter had been decided and decreed, whereby had they proven their claim of belief as truthful to Allah indeed that would have been far better for them. [47:21] [they be questioned] Is it not expected of you that if you people turned away unresponsive that you will do mischief in the land and you will dishonour your relationships/kinship of wombs? [47:22] [Same pronouncement in same words in 4:52] They are the people whom Allah has discarded as condemned and cursed, thereby He has let them remain deaf and their faculty of vision blinded. [47:23] [Same question in same words in 4:82] [why do they behave as such] Is it for reason that they consciously and purposely do not critically cross-examine the contents of The Qur'aan pursuing from initial [ayah] to last statement [ayah]? [verb imperfect; third person; plural; masculine; Form V; Root "د ب ر" the basic perception infolded is that of back, rear, posterior; following/pursuing after to the end. The Grand Qur'aan is compilation of Aa'ya'at. And the purpose of the Book is stated as so that people pursue its Aa'ya'at-38:29. Reflection, pondering and intelligence is but the pursuit of information to another information and their linking.] or is it that upon their hearts are their locks [of vested interests, lusts and desires] [47:24] It is certain that those who went away turning on their backs [Same pronouncement in same words in 47:32; similar 4:115] after that point in time when that from Al-huda [Grand Qur'aan] had become manifestly and evidently clear for them the Shait'aan has caused alluring delusion for them and has created false prolonged hope for them. [47:25] This happened because they said for/to those/ruling elite who abhorred that which Allah communicated gradually, "We will keep accepting your word in some of the matter" And Allah fully knows their secrets. [47:26] [Similar pronouncement in 8:50] Thereat [after revival/resurrection] how [would they interact secretively] when the Angels had undertaken intensively to alienate/segregate them [Same pronouncement in same words in 8:50] by smiting on their faces and backs [until they made them enter into Hell-Prison] [47:27] [Similar information in 3:162 5:80;47:28] This happened to them because they consciously and purposely followed that which caused for Allah taking criminal cognizance against them and they demonstrated aversion in seeking His appreciation and approval; [Same pronouncement in same words in 47:09] thereby He declared their acts as fruitless yielding nothing. [47:28] Or have those in the hearts of whom there is disease [Muna'fi'qeen] have thought that Allah will never expose their cattiness and grudge? [47:29] And had it been Our will We could have shown them to you whereby you would have certainly recognized them by their visible marks; and certainly you will definitely recognize them in the tone of their speech/statement/utterance.
And Allah fully knows the acts of you people. [47:30] And it is certain that We will undoubtedly subject you people to undergo trial and test until We may expose and make it known those amongst you people who have transformed themselves as hectic endeavourers and the coolly perseverant; and We may test in the affairs of you people. [47:31] [Exactly same 4:167;47:34; Similar16:88;22:25;47:01] Indeed those who deliberately and persistently refused to accept [Grand Qur'aan] and they hindered/diverted people from the path of Allah; [Similar pronouncement in 4:115] and they alienated themselves from/opposed the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] [Same pronouncement in same words in 47:25; similar 4:115] after what the Al-huda [Grand Qur'aan] has explained/distinctly manifested for them; [Same pronouncement in same words in 3:176,177] not the least harm they ever cause to Allah [in fact are harming their selves]. And He will keep their acts yielding nothing/going fruitless/of no value and weight. [47:32]
O you who declare to have accepted! [Same pronouncement in same words in 4:59] You people listen and affectionately and wholeheartedly accept the words of Allah and listen and accept the word of the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam told by him from Grand Qur'aan] and you people let not render your deeds as worthless scum [by following conjectures and myths] [47:33] [Exactly same 4:167;47:32; Similar16:88;22:25;47:01]
[Same pronouncement in same words in 9:80] Indeed those who deliberately and persistently refused to accept [Grand Qur'aan] and they hindered/diverted people from the path of Allah thereafter they died while they were non-believers till the moment of death reached thereby Allah will never grant forgiveness/protection for them. [47:34][Read in conjunction 2:16;2:217;3:91] [Similar pronouncement in 6:32;29:64;57:20] Indeed the life of this lowly world is merely like [short lived theatrical] play and amusement; And if you people let yourself accept/believe and let yourself consciously and purposely remain heedful avoiding unrestrained conduct He will grant you the recompense of you people
and He will not ask you about your wealth. [47:36] If He imperatively asks that from you people thereat making/pressing it upon you obligatorily you [the deceptive claimants of belief Muna'fi'qeen] will miserly withhold and He will expose your cattiness and slyness. [47:37] Here you are, these are who are called so that they may spend in the cause of Allah, thereat, from amongst you are the one who miserly withholds; and whoever miserly withholds thereat in effect he miserly withholds from his own self. [Read with 35:15] And Allah is eternally the Absolutely Independent and you people are the needy dependants.
And if you people consciously turn away He will decide substituting a nation other than of you people, thereafter they will not be the likes of you people. [47:38]
