Ayahs where used in the meanings of blessings; homage, acknowledging and appreciation
They-the coolly perseverant are sure of the blessings of tranquility and mercy to shower upon them from their Sustainer Lord.
And they are truly the people who persistently and consciously guide their selves aright. [2:157]
Its context:
Be aware that We will certainly persist subjecting you people to a test for exposure of your potentialities—true worth through something of disturbance-feel of insecurity-fear and economic recession - food shortage and some loss in property-worldly material and personal lives and the crops-fruit yields.
And you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] guarantee glad tidings to those who are steadfast and coolly perseverant. [2:155]
They the coolly perseverant pronounce when a calamity-perturbation-untoward incident would have afflicted them:
They said: "Indeed we are persistently allegiant for Allah the Exalted and indeed we attend-get warned-return for mercy-reprieve and are accountable towards Him the Exalted". [2:156]
