Sustenance, wherewithal for life
The characteristic feature of Mutta'qeena is that they heartily accept-believe in the presence-existence of the Unseen; not in their sight [Creator: Allah the Exalted, and what is stated in the Book].
And they steadfastly maintain the Institution of As-sa'laat: Time Bound Formal Protocol of demonstrating Servitude and allegiance to Allah the Exalted.
Further, they heartily spend some of the worldly resources including for other's welfare which Our Majesty has given to them as sustenance. [only for seeking approval and attention of Allah the Exalted]. [2:03]
Your Sustainer Lord had rendered the Earth spread out for you people as a floor/carpet;
And the Sky in the manner of overarching canopy.
Moreover, He the Exalted descended water from the Sky;
Thereat, He the Exalted with this water brought out a variety of fruits-shrubs as means of subsistence for you people.
Therefore, you people should not ascribe and declare miscellaneous participatory lords with reference to Allah the Exalted;
Since you people have logical understanding of there being none sharing dominion [realization of universe as a coherent unit manifesting Sole Creator]. [2:22]
And you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] give glad tidings-guarantee to those who have heartily accepted-believed and performed deeds-acts righteously-moderately: [as directed in the Book]
That gardens are in wait-prepared-promised for them where streams flow on lower side by it.
Every time they are fed variety of fruits there from as sustenance, they said: "This fruit is alike which was given to us aforetimes".
And they were given things in resemblance of their perceptions.
Moreover, spouses of purified-clean hearted as companions-mates are assured for them therein.
Take note; they will abide therein permanently. [2:25]
And We had caused a Parasol, covering shade upon you people with Sky covering Clouds: Stratocumulus.
Moreover, We had descended for you people "Munna and Sal'wa".
[your forefathers were told] "You eat the permissible-liquefiable and respectively beneficial and nutrient which We have given to you as sustenance".
Realize that they, your forefathers, did no harm to Us; the fact is that they rather kept harming their selves. [2:57]
And recall when Mūsā [alai'his'slaam], acceding their request, prayed for water for his nation.
Responding his prayer We told him;
"You strike; displace-move away the particular stone with the help of your Staff."
Sequel to his displacing the particular stone, twelve water-flows self emerged there from gushing as springs.
Each of the nation's twelve group thereby got known its own place for water.
We conveyed them; "You people eat and drink from the sustenance provided by Allah the Exalted.
And you should not, like mischief-doers create intellectual distortions-conjectural myths-disquiet in the society". [2:60]
Further be informed that when Iebra'heim [علیہ السلام] had requested saying: "My Sustainer Lord! render-declare this dwelling place that affords peace-law and order, security and safety;
And grant rich sustenance to its inhabitants, those of them who heartily became believers of Allah the Exalted and the Last Day"
Allah the Exalted replied: "However, for reason being the Sustainer Lord of all I will also grant him who refused to accept, for a little period; thereafter [on the Day of Judgment] I will cause him driven to the torment of heated Hell-Prison".
Beware, how vile is this abode-destination to land in. [2:126]
O those/you, who consciously proclaim to have accepted/become believers, listen!
You eat the permissible-liquefiable and "tayi'baate"-respectively beneficial and nutrient which We have given to you as sustenance.
And express gratitude exclusively for Allah the Exalted
if exclusively to Him the Exalted you people remain submissive allegiants. [2:172]
The worldly life has become charming, alluring and absorbing for those who have deliberately refused to accept [as against the permanent life in the Hereafter 14:03;16:107;79:38;87:16]
And they keep ridiculing some amongst those who have heartily accepted-believed [they will regret this habit one day-39:56].
And those who remained mindful and heedful avoiding unrestrained conduct in reverence and fear of Allah the Exalted will be enjoying an elevated position over and above them on the Day of Resurrection.
And mind it [worldly gain is no criteria of distinction] that Allah the Exalted grants worldly sustenance to whomever He wishes without regard to reciprocal measure/account/causality. [ 2:212]
Take note that the Mothers shall breast-feed their off-springs for two years, complete two years [24 months].
This direction is in favour of that husband who decided that he might complete the breast-feed by his wife whom he had alienated from Matrimonial Bond *.
Their sustenance, feed and clothing in accordance with the known norms of society is incumbent responsibility upon the respective Father.
A person-husband shall however not be burdened except that which he can afford.
A mother should not be subjected to suffer for [love, motherly affection] her born progeny. Nor the one who has become father be pressed because of his born progeny.
The like of the Obligation imposed upon the respective husband in respect of his alienated Wife on becoming mother is incumbent upon the Heir in case of husband's death before birth of progeny.
Sequel to mutual understanding and consultation if they both decided to earlier stop the breast-feeding, thereby nothing objectionable lies against both of them.
Moreover, if you have decided that you might self assign the breast-feeding of your off-springs to foster-mother, thereat, there is no cause of objection upon you therein when you willingly agreed for that which you paid in accordance with accepted norms.
Moreover, you people consciously remain mindful and avoid unrestrained conduct in reverence and fear of Allah the Exalted.
In addition, you people know-remember the fact that Allah the Exalted is ever watching whatever you are doing. [2:233]
O those/you, who consciously proclaim to have accepted/become believers, listen!
Spend heartily some part of the sustenance which We have bestowed upon you people before lest the day might come.
No pay-later system bargain could be struck during that day.
Neither that day friendly help would be available nor recommendation/pleading--intercession be of avail to non believers [of intercessors-2:48,123;74:48].
The fact is that those who persistently refuse to accept are truly the wrong-doers/distorters/unjust. [2:254]
You the Exalted move the Night gradually and smoothly into the Day, and smoothly way in the Day into the Night.
And You the Exalted cause the emergence of a living out of matter-dead, and cause the emergence of matter-dead body void of life out of the living.
And You the Exalted bestow worldly sustenance without measure, in abundance or for no apparent cause, to a certain person for whom You decide favorably." [3:27]
Thereupon, her Sustainer Lord granted her a pleasant acceptance.
And He the Exalted caused her rearing, in the style and manner of nicely reared plants.
And Zakaria [alai'his'slaam] took the responsibility of her guardianship.
Whenever Zakaria [alai'his'slaam] had entered the sanctuary to meet her, he had always found by her side some eatables.
[one day] He asked; "O Maryam! how and from where this sustenance comes for you?"
She replied: "That is supplied by the grace of Allah the Exalted.
Indeed, Allah the Exalted provides sustenance for whomever He decides, without reckoning and causality." [3:37]
And take note that you people must not henceforth even consider and presume in respect of those who were slain in the way of Allah the Exalted that they are dead bodies.
They are not dead bodies; the fact of the matter is that they are alive. [but you people can not perceive that life-2:154].
They like all other living people are continuously getting sustenance from their Sustainer Lord. [3:169]
Be cautioned; you people should not give to the mentally retarded-unwise people your wealth which Allah the Exalted has declared that as means of stable maintaining for you.
Mind it; you are hereby directed to feed and afford them therewith; and you clothe them.
And speak for them with kind and polite words of known import-true significance. [4:05]
Take note: in case the near relatives-non stakeholders; and the orphans; and the destitute have also come at the time of the division of inheritance; thereat you feed them-give something out of divisible wealth to them.
Moreover, speak to them a statement with kind and polite words of known import-true significance. [4:08]
And what burden would it have caused them if they believed in Allah the Exalted and the Last Day?
And what burden would it have caused them if they had spent some of the sustenance Allah the Exalted has bestowed upon them?
And Allah the Exalted is Ever Aware of them. [4:39]
And You people eat selectively from the sustenance which Allah the Exalted has provided you; permissible and characteristically beneficial and nutrient for you.
And you are directed to remain mindful and cautious avoiding unrestrained conduct in reverence and fear of Allah; He the Exalted in Whom you are faithful believers. [5:88]
[Being satisfied of their intention] Easa [alai'his'slaam], the son of Maryam prayed:
"O Allah, You the the Exalted Sustainer Lord of us; visibly descend upon us from the Sky food set on dining tray.
It will characteristically be celebrating occasion both for us firstly and our posterity; and it will be an especial unprecedented display particularly for us by Your Grace.
And feed us sustenance; the fact remains that You the Exalted are the best of the suppliers of feeding needs. [5:114]
Indeed those who killed their progeny, witlessly-foolishly-dogmatically without ascertaining-conceptualization of knowledge, have caused loss to their selves;
And similarly those have suffered loss who declared as prohibited that which Allah the Exalted had given them as sustenance by imaginative false assertions attributed upon Allah the Exalted.
Indeed they were lost-entrenched in straying-conjectures.
It restrained them in a state of those who incline not to become guided aright. [6:140]
And He the Exalted has spread the quadruped herbivorous mammals [for you eight families]; some of them are burden-carriers and some are for laying on ground for slaughter.
You people eat selectively from the sustenance which Allah the Exalted has provided you.
And you people should not at all follow the footsteps of Shai'taan.
It is a fact that he is self manifesting enemy for you people. [6:142]
You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] invite them: "Come to exalt yourselves beyond conjectures; I would recite word by word what your Sustainer Lord has forbidden upon you;
That you should never associate anyone-anything with Him the Exalted;
And look after your parents with affectionate kindness;
And you should not kill your children apprehending poverty/financial liability."
We provide sustenance to you people and for them.
"And that you should not approach towards illicit sexual attractions; that which have become publicly known places about it, and also those which are secretive.
And you should not murder-hang a person; Allah the Exalted has sanctified it, except for dispensation of justice on a proven charge of murder of a person or of creating disturbance/ disorder/chaos/panic in the country [refer 5:32,33].
These are the commands He the Exalted has bound you people with.
These are mentioned that perhaps you might conveniently save in memory and objectively analyze to exalt beyond conjectures. [6:151]
You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] ask them questioning: "Identify the person who has forbidden using beautifiers: pleasing and impressive things which Allah the Exalted has derived for His subjects? And name the person who has prohibited the delightful energizing things available in the sustenance?"
You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce: "These are meant in the worldly life for those who have heartily believed. However, the beautifiers and delightful energizing sustenance is exclusively for the true believers on the Day of Resurrection".
Like this exposition, Our Majesty illustrates Aa'ya'at: verbal passages of Grand Qur'aan demarcating, categorizing, delineating and individuating all aspects for the people who are in pursuit of knowledge. [7:32]
And the companions of the Hell-Prison called up the companions of Paradise;
Requesting: "Pour upon us some of the water or some of the eatables that Allah the Exalted has provided you."
They replied: "Allah the Exalted has indeed prohibited both these upon the rejecters of faith." [7:50]
Know their past, Our Majesty had fragmented them into twelve generations/tribes with different parental root.
And We conveyed to Mūsā [alai'his'slaam] when his nation inclined him to pray for water: "Strike; displace-move away certain stone with the help of your Staff."
Sequel to his displacing the particular stone, twelve water-flows self emerged there from gushing as springs.
Each of the nation's twelve groups thereby got known its own place for water.
And We had caused a Parasol, covering shade upon them with Sky covering Clouds [Stratocumulus].
Moreover, We had descended for them "Munna and Sal'wa".
We conveyed them; "You people eat and drink from the sustenance provided by Allah the Exalted."
Realize that they did no harm to Us; the fact is that they rather kept harming their selves. [7:160]
And they steadfastly maintain the Institution of As-sa'laat: Time Bound Formal Protocol of demonstrating Servitude and allegiance to Allah the Exalted.
Further, they heartily spend part of the worldly resources for other's welfare which We have given to them as sustenance. [8:03]
The aforementioned are the proven and established believers amongst claimants of belief.
Ranks of elevation commensurate to deeds performed [6:132;46:19] are assigned for them by their Sustainer Lord;
And forgiveness and par excellence sustenance is guaranteed for them. [8:04]
And you people recall when you were in minority [time frame of reference: in Mecca] considered and deemed as weak and oppressed in the City; you were apprehensive that the people might crumble you
Thereat, through migration He the Exalted gave you a protected shelter and strengthened you people with His help.
And He the Exalted provided you people worldly sustenance of pleasant nourishing things;
So that you might acknowledge and express praises and gratitude. [8:26]
The certain fact about those who had accepted the belief and had migrated and exerted utmost with their wealth and physically solely for the cause of Allah the Exalted;
And those locals who gave shelter and help to migrants:
These are truly the proven and established believers amongst claimants of belief.
Forgiveness and par excellence sustenance is guaranteed for them. [8:74]
You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] ask them, "Who provides you sustenance for life from the Sky and the Earth;
Or Who controls and commands the faculty of listening and vision;
And who brings out the living from the matter-dead; and brings out matter-dead from the living;
And who organizes, manages and commands all matters until their logical conclusion?
In response, they will say after a little pause: "He is Allah the Exalted".
Thereat, in response to their admission you ask them: "Would you people still not take heed and be cautious and fearful" [10:31]
You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce, "Have you people given a thought to what Allah the Exalted has sent for you people as life maintaining sustenance? Thereby, you people have declared a part of it as prohibited and some as permissible".
You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] question them: "Have Allah the Exalted granted permission for you people to make such declarations?
Or you people conjecture a falsehood attributing it to Allah the Exalted?" [10:59]
Know the history; Our Majesty had certainly settled Bani Iesraa'eel, a settlement fulfilling the promised word; and provided them sustenance comprising pleasant nourishing produce.
Thereat, they mutually differed not till such time the Knowledge came to them.
[ignore them] Indeed your Sustainer Lord will adjudge between them, on the Day of Resurrection;
Regarding the issue about which they kept differing/opposing. [10:93]
Take note; there is not a single moving creature in the Earth but provision of their life maintaining sustenance is dependent upon Allah the Exalted;
And He the Exalted knows the staying place and departing place of all of them.
Everyone of them is recorded in the Book that renders everything inventoried as isolated, individualized and distinct unit. [11:06]
He said: "O my nation! Have you given a thought that if I am on the standpoint of rational and logical reason-explicit fact [Aa'ya'at] revealed by my Sustainer Lord;
And He the Exalted has provided me appropriately proportioned sustenance from His Grace;.
And I do not intend that I should differ with you [for the sake of difference] regarding what I forbid you from;
I wish/intend nothing except at perfection/reformation whatever is within my reach/capacity;
And my equated/balanced approach/conduct is but with Allah's will/approval.
Upon Him the Exalted I place reliance and dependences and towards Him I turn. [11:88]
He replied, "The food/meal which is served to you both will not reach you but I would have meanwhile told/construed you the effect/end result/meanings of that dream before the meal might reach you.
This construing of dreams is with the knowledge my Sustainer Lord has imparted to me;
I have indeed abandoned the method of people who believe not in Allah the Exalted;
And they are in fact the people who reject the Hereafter. [12:37]
And they are who exercising patience remained coolly perseverant seeking the approval and appreciation of their Sustainer Lord;
And steadfastly maintained the Institution of As-sa'laat: Time Bound Formal Rite demonstrating Servitude and allegiance to Allah the Exalted, and they spent, secretively and publicly, for other's wellbeing out of the sustenance Our Majesty had provided them;
And they repel/avert evil/misconduct with good and mannered conduct.
The are the people: the best end place is in wait for them. [13:22]
Allah the Exalted expands the sustenance for a person about whom so decides. And restricts to measure for him about whom so decides.
Take note, they have rejoiced and felt elated in the life of the lowly world.
But the life of the lowly world is not but transitory enjoyment in relation to truly rejoicing life in the Hereafter. [13:26]
You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce for those of My servants who proclaim having accepted and become believers:
That they may stand for the performance of Ass-sa'laat: Time Bound Protocol of Allegiance and Servitude;
And may spend part of the worldly resources for other's welfare out of that We have given them;
They might do it privately and publicly;
Before that the Day might reach; the Day wherein neither pay-later system bargain nor friendship could be struck. [14:31]
Allah the Exalted is Who created the Skies and the Earth;
And He the Exalted descended water from the Sky;
Therewith, He the Exalted brought out a variety of fruits-shrubs as means of subsistence for you people.
And has subjected the ship to a set discipline-natural law [relativity with air 30:46] - manageability for you people so that it might sail, move in the water reservoir by the commanded affair of Him the Exalted: the observable and discoverable rules and principles of science.
And has subjected to manageability for you people the water-flows. [14:32]
"Our Sustainer Lord! I have settled one of my progeny near the Sacred House of You the Exalted, in the valley which is other than the possessor-capable of cultivation.
Our Sustainer Lord! The purpose of this settlement is that they might institutionalize the As-Sal'aat: Time Bound Formal demonstrative Rite of Servitude and allegiance;
Therefore, kindly render the thoughtful minds amongst the people that they yearn for them, emptying their long cherished traditions.
And provide them sustenance from fruits so that they might express gratitude. [14:37]
And the Earth, We did spread/stretch her;
And We placed therein anchored/stabilizing mountains;
And We sprouted in her, each and every thing mutually equated and balanced; [15:19]
And We have rendered therein for you people means for acquiring livelihoods-sustenance;
And for the one for whom you people are not the providers of sustenance. [15:20]
And they ascribe a portion out of sustenance that Our Majesty have given them for someone about whom they have no concrete knowledge;
By Allah, certainly you people will be asked about what you people kept conjecturing falsehood. [16:56]
And you people diligently derive-acquire intoxicant and appropriate-decent sustenance-food from the juice-pulp of the fruits of Date-palm and the Vine.
It is a fact that in this phenomenon there is explicit manifestation for the people who are in habit of critically thinking. [16:67]
Observe it, Allah the Exalted has granted distinction to some of you people over some others with regard to grant of sustenance-affluence.
The fact remains that those given distinction of affluence by excessive resources will not divert their wealth to those upon whom their right hand have authority and managing responsibility: domestic servants/serfs in their submission, whereby they all become equated in affluence.
Is it that they the affluent knowingly deny the grace and bounty of Allah the Exalted? [16:71]
Know it, Allah the Exalted has appointed for you people mates-companions belonging to members of your own species-society;
And has rendered sons and in-laws in respect of some of your spouses.
And He the Exalted has provided you people sustenance from pleasant nourishing things.
Is it then they believe in the false conjectural scum; and are ingrate to the blessing of Allah the Exalted: Grand Qur'aan? [16:72]
And they worship-exhibit allegiance and subservience to some godhead other than Allah the Exalted that neither possesses sustenance of any substance for them in the Skies and the Earth;
Nor such godheads are capable to provide substance to their worshippers. [16:73]
Allah the Exalted has struck a contrast by an example of a subjugated person; his peculiarity is that he persistently have no power and prerogative over anything;
And another person whom Our Majesty have given from Our Grace affluent stable sustenance whereby he spends out of it, secretly and publicly;
Adjudge, are such people considered equivalent in public eye?
[having understood the point say] The Infinite Glory and Praise stands specified eternally, entirely and exclusively for Allah the Exalted.
However, the fact remains that most of them do not know; retain not such simple facts in their memory. [16:75]
Know it, Allah the Exalted had rendered a community an example; it was securely peaceful, and quite happy and satisfied;
Its Sustenance-economic stability was flourishing in abundance from every side.
Then she indifferently denied despite the blessings of Allah the Exalted. Thereby, Allah the Exalted caused them to sense-experience the garb/veil of all pervasive economic recession and fear of insecurity-collapse of law and order situation.
This upshot was for that which they kept artfully fabricating false conjectural myths to mislead people. [16:112]
And indeed the Messenger, a staunch monotheist believer amongst them, had come to them;
Responding him, they publicly contradicted him; thereby, certain affliction seized them;
While they were still evil mongers-conjecturers-distorters of realities and equations-the falsifiers [16:113]
Therefore remaining mindful of just quoted example, you people eat out of the sustenance that Allah the Exalted has granted you; that which is declared lawful, characteristically pleasantly nutritious for you, respectively;
And express gratitude, hide not the blessing of Allah the Exalted:
If you people are genuinely subservient to Him the Exalted, exclusively. [16:114]
The fact is that your Sustainer Lord expands the sustenance for whom He so decides; and restricts to measure for whom He the Exalted so decides.
Indeed He the Exalted is eternally absolutely informed about His subjects and they are under His focus. [17:30]
Take note, you should not kill your children apprehending poverty and financial liability.
We provide sustenance to them and to you people.
Indeed their murder has always been a great blunder. [17:31]
Know it, Our Majesty has indeed hnoured and dignified the posterity of A'adam [alahisalam]. And We have made them ride in the Earth and the Water Reservoir;
And We have provided them life-sustaining provision comprising pleasant nourishing produce.
And We have bestowed grace-elegance to them over many whom We have created, in a very distinct manner. [17:70]
And for this We revived them to their original state so that they may question among themselves.
One of the participant of talk asked, "How long have you stayed here?"
Some of them replied, "We have stayed for a day or just a part of a day."
Others said" [Don't be conjectural] Your Sustainer Lord fully knows how long you have stayed here.
Therefore send one of you with this coin of yours towards the city, then let him see which of the meal is purer/nutritious;
Whereby let him bring eatable provision from that; and let he be cautious and neither should he let anyone have clue about you. [18:19]
They will not listen therein any meaningless and baseless utterances, except sound statement.
And for them is their sustenance supplies therein at morning and evening. [19:62]
