  • This is the Book, you will find reading it that its contents are absolutely void of peeving substance: suspicious, conjectural, whimsical, conflicting, ambiguous, anomalous, irrational, un-certain, illusory, unsubstantiated, incongruous, biased and opinionated matter.

  • This Book is a Guide-Manual for those who endeavor to remain cautious and avoid conduct inspired and governed by emotion, in reverence and fear of Allah the Exalted. [2:02]

  • Do you, the people of clergy/men of understanding, direct common people to act virtuously and magnanimously and you keep forgetting about yourselves though you are the people who read the Book?

  • Is it for reason that you people do not reflect to notice this evident contradiction in your behaviour/conduct? [2:44]

  • Remain attentive and refer to that point in time when he came leaving you behind We gave Mūsā [alai'his'slaam] the Book and Al-Furqau'n - the Criterion-the Separator of right from wrong.

  • The objective was that you people might heartily guide yourselves aright. [2:53]

  • Be informed that masses - ordinary majority of people of them: Bani Iesraa'eel retain the peculiar trait of persistently not knowing-ascertaining and acquiring knowledge of the contents of the Divine Book.

  • They are, however, aware with regard to the Revealed Book only such wishful fascinating hearsay-conjectural myths made popular and widespread in society.

  • As such, they the common people, keep doing-knowing nothing except conjecturing-supposing-assuming the widespread-popular material as being from the Revealed Book. [2:78]

  • Thereby, [that commons are misled by conjectural matter] Woe-regret would be the upshot for those people who keep writing the book with distinct titles and caption with their own hands-thoughts

  • Thereafter having written it they [publish the book] tell the people saying-claiming:

  • "This book contains matter which is according to that communicated by Allah the Exalted"

  • They say so to gain a commercial benefit of trifling import with it.

  • Therefore, Woe-regret is in wait for them for that which their hands have written [fascinating, misleading, hypothetical, conjectural hearsay and myths].

  • Moreover, Woe-regret is in wait-is the eventuality for that what they earn-popularity, commercial-financial benefit by it. [2:79]

  • Afterwards the ratification of aforesaid covenant, you are such people who kill-ill repute your people, and cause a group weaker living amongst you to exile from their towns-locations by alleging upon them accusations of guilt and transgression.

  • However, if they are brought to you as captives you voluntarily ransom them while their very exile had been made unlawful upon you.

  • Is it for reason that you accept some part of the Book and reject/deny some part of the Book?

  • Therefore, the return-punishment, for anyone who does this act of accepting some and refusing some part of the Book from amongst you, shall be nothing except disgrace-ignominy in the life of this lowly world.

  • Take note that such people will be taken to the grievous chastisement on the Day of Rising.

  • Remain mindful that Allah the Exalted is never unmindful about that what you people do. [2:85]

  • Know the fact that We had given to Mūsā [alai'his'slaam] the Book.

  • And We sent the Messengers after him, one after the other in succession.

  • Moreover know it that We had given to Easa [alai'his'slaam], the Son of Maryam [Siddiqa], to display unprecedented Exhibitions.

  • And We strengthened and protected him through Angel Gibraa'iel [RoohulQudd's].

  • Is it not the fact that every time there came a Messenger with such advice-command which your hearts did not feel in consonance with-pleasing and appeasing desires-wishful thinking; you reflexively puffed up with arrogance and pride of grandeur and superiority?

  • Thereby, for that reason you people had publicly contradicted a group of those Messengers.

  • And you people keep ridiculing-insulting-defaming-slandering against another group of those Messengers. [2:87]

  • Know the fact: As soon the book came to them characterized by transcription in Arabic: Qur'aan from Allah the Exalted; they: the Posterity of Iesraa'eel [alai'his'slaam] refused to accept it.

  • This Book is the Testifier-Affirmer-Certifier-Sanctifier of that they already had with them.

  • And in earlier time line they were desperately praying-aspiring for comprehensive victory over those who were the Non Believers.

  • Thereby, as soon that came to them they did recognize it. But they refused to accept it.

  • Consequently, the Curse and Condemnation of Allah the Exalted is hovering upon those who have deliberately and persistently refused. [2:89]

  • Take note: What they did when a Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam]; about whose arrival they had the prior information from Allah the Exalted, came to them as Testifier-Affirmer-Certifier-Sanctifier-Authenticator for that which was with them:

  • The influential Elite-religious group amongst the People; whom the Book had earlier been given, placed away the Book of Allah the Exalted behind their backs-deliberately discarded the covenant written therein.

  • They did it posing as if they were not aware of the dictates of the Book of Allah the Exalted.  [2:101]

  • Those of the People of the Book who have refused to accept, and likewise those Pagans-Idolaters who have refused to accept, like not:

  • The intermittent sending of any sort of blessing (Soo'rat-Aaya'at of Book) upon you people by your Sustainer Lord [read with 16:30].

  • [do they not know] Beware, Allah the Exalted by His own Will and Special Grace makes him uniquely dignified selection whom He the Exalted likes.

  • Know it, Allah the Exalted is the possessor of  Infinite Bounty. [2:105]

  • Many jealous amongst the People of the Book wished:

  • That they could convert you people back to the state- company of stringent deniers, after your affectionate acceptance of the Messenger and the Qur'aan.

  • Their wish is because of selfish envy emanating within their selves, after that which the "Infallible Doctrine-Discourse, Bearer of Proven Truths-Fact": Grand Qur'aan has since made evident - manifest for them.

  • Nevertheless, you people tell the truth overlooking their grudge, and remain indulgent - forbear persistently till such point in time Allah the Exalted might enforce His Decree.

  • Certainly, Allah the Exalted has eternally the command and control over each and all things, individually and collectively, to set them right - fix them in measure. [2:109]

  • Know that the Jew's elders-clergy proclaimed; "The Christians are not upon a standpoint of anything concrete";

  • And the Christian elders-clergy have counter claimed, "The Jews are not upon a standpoint of anything concrete".

  • They assert this despite the fact that they people read and recite the Book.

  • Likewise their statement, such common people who have no knowledge [of the Book] also said a similar assertion.

  • [Ignore them] For this Allah, the Exalted will judge them, on the Day of Rising, regarding what they keep mutually differing/opposing. [2:113]

  • Those people whom We have given the Book, recite-study it word by word in the manner as is its right of study that nothing-passions, prejudices, preconceived notions-conceptions, conjectural myths interferes in between the words of the Book and the heart-brain of the reader.

  • They are truly the ones who heartily believe in the Book-Grand Qur'aan.

  • Mind it that whosoever denies to accept the Book-Grand Qur'aan, [this is done only by al-fasiqoona-2:99thereby, they are truly the people who cause loss to their selves. [2:121]

  • Our Sustainer Lord! And raise a revivalist amongst them as messenger who is characteristically a perpetually Monotheist Believer amongst them- ["Our Progeny" refers to and solely denotes Muslim community of Iesma'eile's progeny].

  • He will recite word by word-syllable by syllable the Aa'ya'at: Verbal Unitary Passages of the Book of You the Exalted.

  • And he will educate them to read and copy writing the Book, and will teach them how to attain the wisdom-capability to perceive the information about invisible realities.

  • And he will intellectually uplift-sanctify them [by removing shackles of conjectural myths/distorted beliefs].

  • The fact remains that You the Exalted are certainly the Pervasively dominant and the Infinitely Just Supreme Administrator of the created realm, visible and invisible." [2:129]

  • We are indeed continuously watching, O you the Messenger, the frequent turning of your face into the Sky.

  • For this reason, We swear- assure you that We will certainly give you the guardianship of the Qib'la'tan: Ka'aba.

  • Fulfillment of this promise will make you persistently pleased.

  • Therefore, keep fronting your face to the Sacred Mosque as long as you are out- away from it.

  • And wherever and from whatever direction you people- believers have exited; thereat, purposely cause your selves face to face that Mosque when you are away from it.

  • It is a fact fact that those who were earlier given the Book certainly understand that this promise of guardianship in the Grand Qur'aan is an established fact ordained by their Sustainer Lord.

  • Beware, Allah the Exalted is never unmindful about the acts which they people keep doing. [2:144]

  • Take note; You the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] had if brought to those people who were earlier given the Book; each and all evidential unprecedented displays, they would certainly not have followed your Focal Point (Ka'aba).

  • And you personally will never be the follower of their Qib'la'tae-Focal Point.

  • And neither they, the two segments of People of Book, will ever be followers of Qib'la'tae of each other [East and West; since both have own objective-desire of separate identity 2:148];

  • Therefore, you reiterate [as told earlier in 2:120 to each one]: "Be mindful; should you incline to pursue their conjectures-desires after Qur'aan which has brought to you facts of concrete knowledge;

  • Thereat, you will certainly be categorized amongst the unjust disturbers-distorters". [2:145]

  • Those whom We had earlier given the Book recognize him: the Messenger as they conveniently recognize their sons.

  • However, fact remains that certainly a group-elite-clergy of them persistently conceals-withholds the infallible truth from public.

  • They do so deliberately as they know-understand it. [2:146]

  • The Infallible Doctrine (Grand Qur'aan) is known to the People of Book that it is sent by your Sustainer Lord [read with 6:114].

  • Therefore, you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] should not henceforth keep yourself worrywart for such people of Book. [2:147]

  • Conclude My Favour/Grace/boon like the obliging beneficence that We sent among you as a Messenger who has been a perpetual Monotheist Believer-Muslim amongst you.

  • He recites word by word-syllable by syllable to you people Our Aa'ya'at: unitary verbal passages of the Book conveying information and facts.

  • And he intellectually uplifts-sanctifies you people: removes shackles of conjectural myths- distortions in belief.

  • And he educates you to read and write the recited text imparting the knowledge of the Book; and he teaches you to attain the wisdom-capability to perceive information about invisible realities.

  • Realize it; he the Messenger Muhammad [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] imparts you the information-knowledge which hitherto you did not have. [2:151]

  • Know the fact about those who keep concealing and withhold by not telling people that which We have since compositely sent out of the distinguishing and explanatory verbal passages and conceal the guidance. They do so after We have explicitly explained the guidance for people in the Book-Grand Qur'aan [as per Our promise to the Messenger].

  • They are the people whom Allah the Exalted condemns and discards and condemn/discard them all those who discard the withholders of truth, liars, deceivers, vain talkers, conjecturers. [2:159]
