Therefore,
reflect who could
be a greater evil monger-a distorter-creator of imbalances,
disorder-over stepping than him who artfully conjectured a falsehood
attributing to Allah the Exalted; or publicly contradicted the
Aa'ya'at: Verbal Passages of the Book of Him the Exalted?

They asked them:
"Where are those whom you used to call upon apart from Allah the

And when
the repentance-embarrassment
tumbled in their hands
and they realized/understood
that

for us we will
undoubtedly be the losers." [7:149]

those- sculpted idols which they were worshipping-proclaiming allegiance
to besides Allah the Exalted;
-
Whereupon He will ask "Are
you the ones! you caused the straying of My subjects, these ones; [as they alleged on seeing you-16:86],
or they are the ones who went astray from the Path?" [25:17]

the Exalted lets remain
neglectfully straying those who knowingly refused to

them whom they had purposely adopted; other than Allah, as

lost/vanished from them—[their mind, they
did not even recall those]
-

falsification and what they kept fabricating and conjecturing. [46:28]

You the Messenger
[Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam]
just see how have they struck
semblances
for describing you;

[17:48]
