Ibn Faris [died 1005] stated:

(مقاييس اللغة)

الشين والفاء والقاف أصلٌ واحد، يدلُّ على رِقَّةٍ في الشيء، ثم يشتقُّ منه. فمن ذلك قولهم: أشفقت من الأمر، إذا رَقَقْت وحاذَرت

That it leads to the perception of subtlety, gentleness, delicacy, thinness in a thing, thereafter, it signifies compassionate, commiserate, when it scumbled, alerted, and became vigilant.

When man feels embarrassed or ashamed the face blushes.

make or become self-conscious: to become or cause somebody to become painfully self-conscious, ill at ease, ashamed, or humiliated

 

  • And the written biography/Book of record is laid open;

  • Thereby, you will see the criminals, in a stumbling condition finding what is written therein.

  • And they will say, "Woe is for us; what sort of Book is this;

  • Neither it leaves mention of a minor thing nor of a major one except that it has enumerated it;

  • And having perused the Book they visualized from memory as present what they had done.

  • And your Sustainer Lord will not do any injustice to any individual. [18:49]

  • He the Exalted fully knows what is before, in their present and past and what is after/future of them.

  • And they do not intercede except for him about whom He the Exalted has pleasingly approved.

  • And they stand in awe out of fear of Him the Exalted. [21:28]

  • They: Mutta'qeen are the people who remain mindful and fearful of Omnipresence of their Sustainer Lord despite being not in their sight.

  • While they are alert about the Appointed Moment. [21:49]

  • Know about those people who, being afraid, mindful and cautious of their Sustainer Lord, are humbly loving onesfor fear of Him stand in awe; [23:57]

  • Know it We presented upon the Skies and the Earth and the Mountains for upholding "the deposit":

  • Whereby they apologized, regretted, and restrained that they might hold it; and they feared it.

  • Know it; the man has uplifted it.

  • But the fact is that he has been rendered extensively in loss, emotionalism. [33:72]

  • They said, "Indeed we, in aforetimes in the world, used to be apprehensive about our family/household, [52:26]

  • Did this advice of donating before private consultations made you feel embarrassed of some negativity in holding private meeting with the Messenger of Allah?

  • Thereby, if you have not yet done it: private consultation with the Messenger, meanwhile Allah the Exalted has mercifully reverted upon you;

  • Therefore, you people remain steadfast maintaining As-sa'laat: Time Bound Protocol of Servitude and allegiance; and regularly pay Az-zaka'at: financial liability for economic uplift of society;

  • And affectionately and wholeheartedly accept the Word of Allah the Exalted and His Messenger.

  • Remain mindful; Allah the Exalted is always fully aware of that what you people do. [58:13]

  • And they are those who remain apprehensive of harm about the infliction of their Sustainer Lord. [70:27]

  • Therefore to reiterate I swear by the twilight glow,

To pity, be anxious about, to fear. Twilight with its redness or whiteness, after sunset; compassionate, tender, apprehensive.

مُشْفِقُونَ fear that some harm will come to someone else
