The text of languages is typically divided into three categories: word;
phrase; and sentence.
Semantics is the study of how meaning in language is created by the use
and interrelationships of words, phrases and sentences.
The Author of the Book is narrating to us an event; and the word choice
conveys to us that it has happend and is an accomplished matter,
according to His information and knowledge.
The happenings and events of the Day of Resurrection and life in
Hereafter are mostly described in past/perfect tenses.
We can visualize and watch by recalling only those events which have
since happened and are the part of our memory. That we take as
infallible fact.
First word is third person masculine singular perfect verb. Its subject
is the definite noun: The Messenger and refers to identified specific
person Muhammad sas.
The next sentence is its object; what he did say.
اتَّخَذُوا : Verb: Perfect; third person; plural; masculine;
[Form-VIII]; [و] Subject pronoun, in nominative state; مصدر-اِتِّخَاذٌ
verbal noun.
This verbal sentence is the Predicate of Verb-like particle. Its Form
tells us that they did it diligently, purposely [not naively or
ignorantly]. The subject of verb refers back to collective noun: Nation
in the Possessive Phrase "My Nation".
The object of Verb is "This Qur'aan".
Last word given in image is Passive Participle: indefinite; masculine;
singular; accusative; [هُجْرٌ Verbal noun] The passive participle
signifies the agent affected by the action implied in the participle. Or
it signifies a state or effect resultant from the action implied in the
participle.
It is in accusative state which renders it as the circumstantial
clause-a state in which the Grand Qur'aan was purposely held by "My
nation".
I need not say that purposely holding and abandoning cannot be the
collocates in a sentence about the same object.
