يدلُّ أحدُهما على كَشْطٍ وكشف، والآخَر على سَترٍ وإخفاء
ونَجَا الإنسانُ ينجو نَجاةً،
ونَجاءً في السُّرعة؛ وهو معنى الذَّهاب والانكشاف من المكان
النَّجاة والنَّجْوة من الأرض،
وهي التي لا يَعْلُوها سَيْل
والأصل الآخر النَّجْو
والنَّجْوَى: السِّرُّ بين اثنين

Semantic domain: Rescue and Escape
The primary signification of this Root is to rescue a
person, and escaping of a person from a dangerous and unpleasant
situation; and secondary signification is of consultations, talks in
privacy or seclusion, nature of which can be good or bad intents. Common
feature shared by both signification is driving or moving to a safe
place.
Rescue is an operation carried out by other than the person trapped in a
dangerous and unpleasant situation while escape is person's leaving or
running away to a safe place.
