الواو والصاد واللام: أصلٌ واحد يدلُّ على ضمِّ شيءٍ إلى شيءٍ حَتَّى يَعْلَقَه

That it leads to the perception of joining a thing with another that renders them together, in a sequence; joint, link, intertwinement, junction/union.
