Criminality with regard to the Verbal communications: the Book of Allah the Exalted
The man was descended to the Earth with full protocol, honour and dignity. The departing advice was:

We had said: "You go down out of this place jointly-together.
Take note of sub-classifications; whenever shall come to you people guidance-guide from Me;
Thereat, whoever would have followed in letter and spirit My Guidance;
Thereby, fear shall not overshadow-haunt such class of people.
Neither will they have a cause to grieve." [2:38]

He the Exalted said: "You both go down to Earth jointly departing from this place-Paradise.
Some of you people will be acting as enemy for some others.
Thereby, when Guidance-Guide comes to you people from Me,
thereat, whoever affectionately inclined himself to act upon My Guidance in letter and spirit-such manner that nothing else influences in between;
Thereby, having acted on My Guidance neither would he go stray-neglectful-unrewarded nor would he face trouble-difficulty-inconvenience." [20:123]

"My guidance" is clarified as verbal passages communicated by Him the Exalted:
And those people who deliberately refused to accept and publicly contradicted Our Aa'ya'at: unitary verbal passages of the Book;
They are the people who will be the resident subjects-companions of scorching Hell-Prison.
They will abide therein permanently. [2:39]
Allah the Exalted fulfilled the promise. Man was and is never left without guidance. Always a book of Allah is present in time space. There was always a Truth-bearer; Primary Source of Information and Evidence in timeline for various peoples of different geography. None is perhaps available now. However, they all are affirmed and incorporated in the Universal Criterion -Truth bearer: Grand Qur'aan:

A book existed for guidance: conveyance of knowledge: Life Manual for each period of time. [R 13:38]
And We did not annihilate any of a locality - nation - civilization except in the circumstances that a book well known had been sent for her. [15:04]
The Book of Allah the Exalted
was descended upon only those Men whom He the Exalted had personally selectively
chosen, dignified and honoured them over all the creations. They are given a
name of absolute distinction
:
the galaxy of the Chosen, Dignified and Exalted Sincere Allegiants
of Allah the Exalted. They are the spokespersons of Allah the Exalted who on
attaining strengthened maturity are appointed to act as the Messenger and convey
the Message to public in time and space.
The people used to be a singular harmonious unit-group.
For reason
of emergence of
differences-division-people enslaved by conjectural stories [10:19],
Allah the Exalted appointed as Revivalists 
: the Chosen
and Elevated Allegiants.
They were given the responsibility-assignment as those who assure-pronounce-guarantee glad tidings and cause cautioning and awakening.
And He the Exalted sent the respective Book along with all of them incorporating infallible facts.
The purpose was that it-the Book might decide-adjudge amongst people of that society in matters in which they mutually differed. [Ref 2:213]
and
is one and the same person. First is his personal status, position and
identification of distinction over all other created realm and the
second
is his job assignment, responsibility to convey the Message verbatim.
They are sent as

those who assure-pronounce-guarantee glad tidings and caution
and awaken people.
Take note: We were sending the Messengers but only to act as those who assure-pronounce-guarantee glad tidings and cause cautioning and awakening. [Ref 6:48 and 18:56]
Their
distinction and identification as
and later in life
on
attaining strengthened maturity-fully grown Man is:
It is a fact that We had certainly sent Our Messengers with distinct unprecedented displays [miraculous existentials].
And We had sent the Book along with all of them: the Messengers.
And We sent the Criterion - the Weighing Scale for ad judgment, evaluation and discerning truth from conjecture and falsehood.
The objective of communicating the Book was that the people might establish and maintain a system of equity and justice. [Ref 57:25]
The
responsibility to act as the Messenger was assigned only when the
had reached strengthen maturity-Manhood:
And We never sent as the Messengers even before you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] but the Men whom We communicated verbal messages.
They were living amongst the residents of certain cities. [Ref 12:109]

The residents of certain cities. The choice of words is such that no conflict
should appear in the entire miscellany of Qur'aan. One elevated Messenger
mentioned in Qur'aan is not the son or brother of a nation but is only the
resident of the city. He was appointed for Bani
Iesraa'eel: the sons of of Iesraa'eel alai'his'slaam.
He is only the Son of Syeda Maryam the truthful; Easa
alai'his'slaam the Messenger
of Allah the Exalted.
Take note; this is the reason We have declared them as being the enemy: the devils of human and Jinn species against every Chosen and Elevated sincere Allegiant of Allah the Exalted.
Their characteristic feature-method is that some of them relay towards others fascinating sayings adorned with false embellishments, deceitfully.
And had it been the resolve of your Sustainer Lord they would not have innovatively done it.
Therefore, for that reason of granted liberty of choice to them, You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] leave them and that which they imaginatively innovate/fabricate fascinating sayings. [6:112]
So that the faculty of Processing-Integrating-producing Knowledge-[Brains] of those who do not believe in the hereafter get inclined towards these fascinating deceptive sayings.
And so that they may be pleased with that and earn what they the fabricators of myths earn. [6:113]
And the verdict about those who attempted and made efforts within Our Aa'ya'ay: Verbal informative passages of the Book; acting as thwarters and suppressers of their efficacy:
They are the people who will be residents-companions of the Hell-Prison. [22:51]
Take note: We never sent a man before you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] appointed as Messenger; nor We sent to the world an Elevated and Chosen Distinct Person except at a specific point in time when this had occurred:
Shai'taan: the devil minded people in Human and Jinn species had displayed and popularized self fabricated fascinating stories in the meanings of the message of Him the Exalted.
Thereat, by sending the Messenger Allah the Exalted kept replacing the falsifications which Shai'taan was popularizing.
Thereby, Allah the Exalted confirms and establishes the verbal informative passages of the book of Him.
Remain cognizant; Allah the Exalted is ever All-Knower; All-Wise, Knower of invisible-hidden realities/considerations. [22:52]
