The reason of inimitability of Grand Qur’ān: its source.


Grand Qur’ān ever since its introduction to humanity till date is the ONLY Book which makes the tallest claim:

  • This is the Book, you will find reading it that its contents are absolutely void of peeving substance: suspicious, conjectural, whimsical, conflicting, ambiguous, anomalous, irrational, un-certain, illusory, unsubstantiated, incongruous, biased and opinionated matter. [refer 2:2]

 

This type of matter in books do cause psychological disturbance and disconcert to the active reader. This claim in itself assumes the position of a strong evidence/argument for an inclination to accept and believe in it since none of the countless books had the courage and confidence to claim about their contents as infallible fact. None of the other authors and books has ever claimed the contents of their work as absolute and proven fact.  

The reason of inimitability of Grand Qur’ān.

Grand Qur’ān; ever since its introduction to humanity till date is the ONLY Book with the tallest claim that its contents are void of suspicious, conjectural, uncertain, wishful, fake, unsubstantiated, hearsay, non-established, invalid, unsound, vague matter which do cause psychological disturbance and disconcert to the reader. This claim in itself assumes the position of a strong evidence/argument for creating an inclination to accept and believe in it since none of the countless books had the courage and confidence to claim about their contents as beyond shadow of suspicion. None of human authors has ever claimed contents of their books as absolute and proven fact.  

Grand Qur’ān is such a Book that the Great Person who introduced and relayed it to the people did not claim to be its author but informed the people that it is sent-revealed upon him by his and the Sustainer Lord of universes-all that exists. This is the reason of its having the unique feature: . It is proclaimed:

  • Mind it, this Qur'aan were not that which could be authored, compiled and edited by someone other than Allah the Exalted.

  • [The Messenger has not authored it] On the contrary, it is the affirmation and authentication of that one which was in front of it (previously the guidance, Injeel).

  • Moreover, the organization-differentiation-delineation-arrangement of the said Book: Qur'aan has been by the command of the Sustainer Lord of the Universes;.

  • -- Let it be known about the contents of the Book that it are absolutely void of peeving substance: suspicious, conjectural, whimsical, conflicting, ambiguous, anomalous, irrational, un-certain, illusory, unsubstantiated, incongruous, biased and opinionated matter --.

  • It is communicated by the Sustainer Lord of the universes-all physical realms. [10:37]


 

 

 

 

  • The piecemeal dispatch and delivery of the Book (Grand Qur'aan)

  • Let it be known about the contents of the Book that it are absolutely void of peeving substance: suspicious, conjectural, whimsical, conflicting, ambiguous, anomalous, irrational, un-certain, illusory, unsubstantiated, incongruous, biased and opinionated matter.

  • Under the command of the Sustainer Lord of the Universes is for a certain purpose. [32:02]

 

 

3. Perplexity of some about the Source of Origin-Author of Qur’ān

 

After introducing, further information about the Book is given regarding its role and communication:

Mutta'qeena are those, who consciously and willingly accept/believe in Grand Qur’ān which has since been sent to you, the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam]. [Ref 2:04]

The coherence in Grand Qur’ān is of par excellence. The flow of information is in such sequence that the listener/ reader nowhere find an occasion and justification to break his silence and interrupt the speaker/text for seeking clarification. The flow of information about variety of thoughts and subjects is in such sequence and  linkages that the absorbed attention of listener/reader might not distract. The flow, coherence and linkages are so strong that, applying the principle of Arabic language, which permits that Subject [مبتدأ] of a Nominal Sentence may have many Predicates, one may say that whatever till end is there after is its predicate. This reflects sublime concatenation, consistence, contiguity and colligation in the Grand Qur’ān.

We are skipping study of second information/news relating to the Book since presently our subject of study is the first information. The sublimity of coherence and consistency is also visible in the fact that if we compile in sequence from beginning to end, the information about a solitary subject/thought/episode mentioned therein, we will find  flow and get a "colligation" on the subject. Let us study the subject, so far we have known the distinct feature of the Book, and that it was sent/revealed to a Person.

               

This/here is the Book, you will find all the time reading it, that its contents have absolutely no suspicious-conjectural- whimsical-conflicting-un-certain-illusory-perplexing matter, which causes uncertainty/psychological disturbance.

 

The same tools of language, like are equally available to every person the world over. Therefore, a simple solution is suggested to the victim of false propaganda causing him  perplexity of duality of thought, or who alleges that the Qur’ān is authored personally by the exalted Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم then he must be able to find some written material, having semblance in its contents with that of Qur’ān, drafted and authored by a writer-linguist in the  world. This suggests a simple solution argument to the one who genuinely be in confusion and duality of mind, and places a challenge to one who deceptively attributes it as personally authored by the Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم  

The audience of Qur’ān is the entire humanity, comprising Arabic speaking and non-Arabs. Therefore, suggestion to such people is not for trying authoring-composing something like it but is to bring from anywhere in the world, including the Mother City Mecca-the sanctified, and at any point in time.

Sequel to this effort, if you people have yet not been able to do it; and let it be mentioned that certainly in future too never ever will you be able to do it [since Qur’ān is neither authored/compiled by the Messenger nor can be authored except Allah, the Exalted-10:37].  Thereby/consequently, you people incline yourselves to take heed becoming cautious of the hell-fire [Prison]. The fuel/charred/affected by it/the fire would be the men and stones, which has been prepared for those who persistently refuse to accept. [2:24]

 

You, the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce, "It is a fact that the Statement of Established Facts/Grand Qur’ān has since reached to you people from your Sustainer Lord". [10:108]

Grand Qur’ān is since for all the humanity for all the times to come and is the Guide in time and space, therefore, it has placed great emphasis on the clarification of the point that it is not the thought and compilation by the Last Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, but as he is pronouncing in unambiguous words that it is sent by the Sustainer Lord of Humanity for their guidance. On completion of ten "Enclaves-Groups/Sections of the Book", the same proposition is suggested, if people keep regurgitating, without putting forward a counter argument and evidence, the same old assertion:

Do they keep saying to people, "He/Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam has drafted/compiled it/Qur’ān with his own effort/perception/knowledge/understanding?"

You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce, "If I have compiled/drafted the Qur’ān [attributing it to Allah] at my own initiative then on me is my crime and I am absolved of what crimes you people commit" [11:35]

    The gradual revelation of the Book [Grand Qur’ān] is for purpose by the command from the Sustainer Lord of the Universes-all that exists. The state of the contents of the Book is that within it there is absolutely no suspicious/ conjectural/whimsical/conflicting/un-certain/illusory/perplexing/disconcerting matter, causing distraught emotional uncertain states/psychological disturbance. [32:02]

Do they keep saying to people, "He/Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam has drafted/compiled it/Qur’ān with his own effort/ perception/knowledge/understanding?"

No, their perception is wrong, he has not drafted/compiled it; the fact is that the Grand Qur’ān is the Statement of Established Facts from your Sustainer Lord; [32:03]

Do they keep saying to people, "He/Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam has drafted/compiled it/Qur’ān with his own effort/ perception/knowledge/understanding?"

You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce, "If I have compiled/drafted the Qur’ān [attributing it to Allah] at my own initiative, thereat [then on me is my crime] you people do not hold anything for me to protect from Allah, the Exalted. He fully knows the best about that which you people keep engaged in conjectural gossip. [46:08]

 is the exact antonym of رَيْبَ. Its Root is "ح  ق  ق".  The basic concept infolded in it is of becoming something established or confirmed as a fact and truth; manifest/obvious undoubted, authentic, genuine, sound, valid, substantial, real, certain, established and confirmed fact or event. And as a result/sequel of something becoming necessitated, necessary, requisite, unavoidable, binding, obligatory, incumbent or due.

           Firstly the presence of any doubtful/conjectural/wishful/fake/non substantial/substantiated/ hearsay/unconfirmed/non established/invalid/unsound/vague substance in the constituent matter of the Book is negated and then the Book has been declared as .  Negation of negative and then narrating the positive attribute and assigning it as a name doubly confirms and lays double emphasis on the true nature of the Grand Quran.

             Since the Grand Quran is a Guide for the entire humanity in time and space and is the Final Word of Allah till the last day, therefore, it is a matter of utmost importance that it should be made abundantly evident and manifest to block the possibility of any misconception {رَيْبَ} about its source. It has pointedly been argued and clarified in such an irrefutable manner that not a single word/statement of Grand Quran could be attributed or conceived as the utterance/contribution from the personal data/information/sayings {أَحَادِيثَ } heard and saved in memory/knowledge/perception of the Last Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.

"And acknowledged/accepted what has been sent to Mohammad {صلى الله عليه وسلم }and that is {statement of proven fact/reality} from their Sustainer Lord" {Refer 47:02}

"Certainly the One Who has assigned you the Quran shall surely return {revive} you honorably to the {promised} place { See 17:79}

Tell people, "My Sustainer Lord knows who has come along with {Quran} and who is in manifest negligence". {Refer 28:85}

And you were not in the hope/pursuit that the Book be sent to you; but sending of the Book is a blessing from your Sustainer Lord" {Refer 28:86}

"And for that {to argue with the people of book} We have sent to you the Book" {Refer 29:47}

"And no one refuses to acknowledge our verses except those who deliberately/knowingly disbelieve" {Refer 29:47}

"And in the same manner We have communicated you the essence of Our Will/Decision/Command. And you were not pursuing/wishing as to what the Book is or acknowledging it" {Refer 42:52}

               It has been clarified, in an unambiguous, plain and simple manner that the Last Messenger was neither in the hope nor was pursuing to get the Book from his Sustainer Lord. The sending of the Book, Grand Quran was not the sequel of the desire or wish or effort of Last Messenger. The point has been vividly clarified:

"And before this You were not capable of reading from any book nor you could write with your right hand. Had you been so capable it could arouse suspicion/confusion for those who talk vanities/scum" {Refer 29:48}

           A man who does not know reading and writing a book could be in search of ultimate truth and reality but is obviously not desirous of finding a book since he cannot read it. Before the communication of Quran the last Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was known as a person who could not read a book nor could write. It has also been told that the Last Messenger is a right handed person. Had he been such a person who used to read and write books then there was a probability of arousal of suspicion amongst vanity talkers that the Quran is also written or perceived by him. Since the Last Messenger was hitherto an illiterate person, therefore, there was not even the remotest possibility that a rational being could suspect the Quran to be his personal compilation. For people, who wish to retain a rational posture in the public eye, no option was left but not to express any suspicion about the source of the verses being narrated to them. Those very people who were suspecting the Book to have been authored by the Last Messenger started asking him:

"And when Our manifest/explicit communications are told to them

those amongst them who do not believe/look for meeting with Us, respond "Come to us with some other than this Quran or change this Quran"

Answer them, "It is not befitting for me to change/amend this Quran with my perception/intellect. I do not follow/act on anything except what is revealed to me in the Book" {Refer 10:15}

A group of people have apparently said two things but the objective is the same; "Bring some Quran other than the Quran" or "amend/change this Quran". The purpose/objective/end result is the same, amend and change this Quran. Allah forbids, if the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم had agreed to change/amend the Quran, what faculty could have helped him for doing it? The answer of the Last Messenger has clarified what a group of people was demanding from him. Any person can amend/change the matter/substance described in a book by applying . At a given point of time this is the sum total of information/data/sayings/stories/events/feelings/knowledge that is stored in one's memory which had created perceptions and awarded intellect. This is the sum total of memories inscribed in one's mind which had come into his perception by that point of time in life through the faculty of listening and seeing, which granted him knowledge/intellect/wisdom.

A man has visible identification, his apparent body i.e. بَشَرٌ. His person is invisible/hidden in the thoughts and perceptions/intellect/wisdom/psyche/habits/understanding/beliefs stored in the memory and comprehensively and precisely infolded in the Arabic words .

             is composed of and "ى". The Root of is "ل  ق  ى".  The basic concept infolded in this Root is the act of facing a thing, encountering and meeting it, meeting with it or finding it; and perceiving it by the sense, listening and seeing. Its predominant application is encounter and meeting. And "ى" is ضمير  واحد متكلم possessive pronoun, first person, masculine meaning "my". relating to نفس which reflects the sum total of visible and hidden aspects of a personality. It also refers to knowledge/wisdom/brain/faculty of analysis. The true/real personality of a man is not the visible structure/skeleton/body but the brain where entire knowledge/perceptions are stored/ captivated.

For doing anything including amending/changing the Book, Quran the Last Messenger had to retrieve information/knowledge from his brain and "confront/meet" it in his chest before he could utter the amended version or write it with his right hand. Today we know that for saying words or doing an act we have to cut/retrieve data/knowledge from the memory of the brain and confront/ meet it. Deliberately and consciously, nothing can be said or done unless data is earlier available in the memory of the brain and it could be retrieved. {Please also see in the pane marked ***}

The Last Messenger categorically and emphatically turned down the desire for saying something from his own perception/knowledge/understanding and instead emphasized that all his sayings and actions are restricted to the following of what has been revealed in the Book, Quran. He was asked to confront people with a simple known and undeniable fact:

Say, "Had it been the will of Allah, I would not have recited to you the Quran and nor would He have made it known to you people;

And you know before this Quran I have lived a lifetime amongst you. Do you not ponder/reflect/differentiate" {Refer 10:16}

It is common with the majority of people in time and space that they want to evade the revealed Book by ingenuity or guile. Their intentions were disclosed:

"And {O Messenger} their purpose/resolve/attempt was to try you about the one {Quran} which We have sent to you so that you say something other than the Quran {which they could then make} attributable to Us; And in that case {if you had obliged them with saying something from your own perception other than Quran} they would certainly have made you a friend.

And if We had not kept you firm in your resolve, the deceptive move/attempt was that you may oblige them a little" {Refer 17:73-74}

"Therefore do not listen/oblige to those who deny. Their desire is that you be little obliging/soft and in response they would apparently/deceptively compromise" {Refer 68:08-09}

It is thus plainly evident that a group of people did not have any genuine suspicion about the source of the Book but wanted that something other than the Qur’ān be said by the Last Messenger.  The people who suspect the apparent facts evident and manifest like the daybreak do not in fact have any suspicion in their minds but just pretend suspicious to find an excuse for denying it. The Last Messenger disappointed them. Being frustrated in not getting what they wanted they made it an excuse for denying the Qur’ān by telling their people:

"And those who deliberately refused to acknowledge tell people, "This Quran is nothing but a lie which he has forged and others have helped him in compiling/writing it"

Indeed they have now adopted/come to an attitude/course of impropriety/slander and falsehood.

And they tell people, "These are tales of ancients which he has written because these are dictated to him off and on {morning and evening}" {Refer 25:04-05}

This reflects the psyche of those who deliberately do not wish to accept the truth. The very people who were interested, and insisted that the Last Messenger should tell them something other than the Quran have taken a U turn after being dismayed by the non-obliging response of the Messenger. They have started telling people on the back of the Messenger that whatever he is stating is but the tales of the ancients which he has written down and others have also helped him since they also dictate him such stories off and on. But they are quite conscious of the weakness of their slander and are afraid that it may not work on majority of people who will listen the substance and matter of the Book and will be able to judge that the Book is not just the myths of the past but a hard fact and reality. Therefore the influential people kept attempting to spread confusion amongst people by taking different stances and expressing their opinions:

"No, they tell people, "{what he is stating} These are muddled dreams; no perhaps, actually he has forged it; no, perhaps not forged; actually he is a poet. Therefore {if he is a messenger} let him bring us a miracle/sign as were sent with earlier messengers" {Refer 21:05}

"They say, "{He is} A poet! We wait for disquieting time for him". Say, "Keep waiting, I am with those who are waiting". {What do you think!} Is it that their confusion of understanding urge them with this conduct/attitude! or they are an inordinate/transgressing people? {Refer 52:30-32}

They tell people one thing and in the second breath negate the same. And in the end try to convey to people that whatever is being stated by the Last Messenger could at best be considered as what is usually said by poets not worthy of taking much seriously since he is a poet. {And imagine the magnitude of tragedy that some of the writers consider poetry of non believer traditionalist poets of those days as a major tool to understand Grand Quran}

For that type of people who are so irrational that neither they listen to any argument nor rebut but keep regurgitating what they had earlier slandered only this could be the answer:

"Do they say, "He {sincere servant upon whom the Book has been sent} has drafted/compiled/fabricated/forged it from his own perception/knowledge/understanding?

Tell them, "If I have compiled/drafted the Quran {attributing it to Allah} then on me is my crime and I am absolved what crimes you people commit" {Refer 11:35}

              We have seen that the critics/refuters of  Grand Quran did not point out any رَيْبَ, suspicious substance/matter in the Book and instead kept slandering different unsubstantiated false and malicious sayings. The behavior and utterances of the critics/refuters of Grand Quran explains the concept and meaning of "رَيْبَ" that it is coupled with a psychological phenomenon which creates disquiet and disturbance of mind.

                  The duty of the Allah's Messenger is to deliver the Book to the people. His posterity may never have "رَيْب" regarding every word of the Book that not a single particle and vowel is the contribution of the Last Messenger; and that he never told verbally or in writing anything other than Quran to anyone; it has vividly been clarified in the Book itself:

"What! Do they say, "He {sincere servant upon whom the Book has been sent} has drafted/ compiled/ fabricated/forged/slandered upon Allah?". {They slander} Because if Allah had so willed he could have placed seal/cover over your heart {that would have disabled you to state or write anything}" {Refer 42:24}

It is a matter of common perception that for fabricating a statement one has to employ the data and information stored by that point of time in his memory of the mind and to state it before people he has to retrieve it from memory into the chest/heart. It seems in the ordinary life that we say something from the mind directly through the tongue. But that is not the truth. We speak to people through the chest. Although it seems to happen without time lag but there is a process involved, in the thought converting to a word of a language. Retrieval of data/information/fabricated story into the chest will result in creation of a  column of air pressure which is moved towards the vocal folds. Air is moved out of the lungs and towards the vocal folds by coordinated action of the diaphragm, abdominal muscles, chest muscles, and rib cage. Sound is produced when aerodynamic phenomena cause vocal cord to vibrate rapidly in a sequence of vibratory cycles. This is a buzzy sound which is articulated by the tongue and lips to produce and eject/throw out sound shaped in recognizable words of a language.

           What has been said to the Last Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم he was earlier asked to explain the same thing to people, when they wanted him to amend/change the Quran with his own knowledge and perception {Refer 10:15}, in these words:

Say, "Had it been the will of Allah, I would not have recited to you the Quran" {Refer 10:16}

And then the will of Allah has been disclosed/explained as to why the Messenger recited the Book:

"And Allah blots out the scum/fabricated/concocted/conjectural matter and establishes the fact/proven reality by His words. Certainly Allah is Knower of what is held by chests" {Refer 42:24}

We know that in the seventh century AD the Last Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم did not have the facility of audio and video recordings. He could communicate the words of Allah only through oral recitation or by giving it in writing. Allah has confirmed that had he even thought in his heart of saying/uttering from mouth anything other than the Book Quran, Allah could seal/cover the heart so that nothing could be brought out from it for conveying it to anyone. And even if Quran had been recited merely orally to the people present at that point of time and was passed to the posterity as a word of chest from generation to generation the people of later times could have a genuine "رَيْب", suspicion, confusion, and psychological disquiet in believing whether or not these were the words uttered by the pious tongue and lips of their Lord the Last Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم and to believe them as the words/ of Allah. The point has been vividly made clear and known:

Certainly this Quran is stated/uttered by the Exalted Messenger.

And this is certainly not the word/statement uttered by a poet; yet few are those who accept/acknowledge.

And certainly this is not the word/statement uttered by a prognosticator/clairvoyant; yet few are those who remember. This Book has been sent by the Sustainer Lord of Worlds.

And if he had fabricated/written in Our name some statements/sayings, We would have taken it from his right hand; Afterwards We would have cut his hand's main nerve/muscle/artery" {Refer 69:40-46}

The fabricated material can be conveyed to other people either orally or by writing it. One can be forced/stopped from orally communicating the fabricated thoughts by sealing his heart which would disable him to convey that thought to others and if he has written it then first the written material would be taken away from his hand and then after that he could be incapacitated to write in future by disabling his hand to loose the power of writing anything again. The particle is used in a distinct manner. It occurs as conjunction between two things different from each other in nature and reflects a break and time gap between both, not continuity. Why right hand has been mentioned? Because the Last Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم being right handed writes with the right hand.

Since Grand Qur’ān is for all the humanity for all the times to come and is the Guide in time and space, therefore, it has placed great emphasis on the clarification of the point that neither in its content/substance there is anything that could be suspected as untrue, conjectural, imaginative nor that anything was the contribution of the knowledge and perception of the person who was assigned the responsibility and duty of delivering it to the humanity, Last Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم . And Allah has confirmed in simplest words that nothing was written by the Messenger from his own knowledge and perception and if despite that people have any suspicion then they must be able to bring a حَدِيثٍ resembling that which they suspect was written by the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم because being a human being if he could write then some other person in the whole of world should also be capable of having written such an حَدِيثٍ.

"Or do they say, "He has said/written that". No, he has not written it, in fact they do not accept it. If they say so, let them come along with a statement resembling that if they are truthful in their utterance/what they say"  {Refer 52:33-34}

And the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was advised to announce and make it public:

"Say {make it public}, "Even If the whole of mankind and Jinns {present at any point of time} should make collective effort to come with something resembling this Quran they will not be able to come along with some resembling this notwithstanding that they helped each other" {Refer 17:88}

               Since no one including the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم could write a single حَدِيثٍ  having resemblance to the statement  حَدِيثٍ  of Grand Quran, therefore

"This is the Book, within it is no suspicious matter/statement; this is guide for righteous people" {Refer 2:02}

"The sending of the Book is from the Sustainer Lord of the worlds; therein the Book is no suspicious matter/statement" {Refer 32:02}

It is accepted truth that all the people in the Universe are not rational beings. There are people who do not listen to any argument and have no rational rebuttal/counter argument yet they refuse to accept the reality. Such people need to be confronted/told:

Say, "Have you thought/considered/pondered/reflected/seen that if this Quran is from Allah and thereafter you have refused to accept that, who is more neglectful than the one who is in a determined/prolonged opposition. {Refer 41:52}

We will keep making it visible to the eyes of those who do not accept Quran, the signs/knowledge in the Universe and in their own bodies till it becomes evident for them that this Quran is a statement of proven fact" {Refer 41:53}

       The Grand Quran has informed that Allah will keep revealing, the knowledge about the universe and human body, and it will become manifest to the people that the Quran is a statement of proven fact. Why would it become manifest that the Quran is a statement of proven fact when man sees/ perceives new knowledge about universe and human body? If the things mentioned in a book written earlier in time and space are subsequently found a scientific fact only then it is evident to people that the Book is really a statement of proven facts and not conjectural and presumptive. Despite everything done and said there shall be people who will never accept and believe. Who they are?

"Is it not enough for them that your Sustainer Lord is witness upon all things? {Refer 41:53}

But the fact is that they are certainly in suspicion regarding meeting their Sustainer Lord. Surely He is Sovereign/in absolute command/encompassing everything" {Refer 41:54}
