Ibn Faris [died 1005] stated:

(مقاييس اللغة)

الشين والفاء والقاف أصلٌ واحد، يدلُّ على رِقَّةٍ في الشيء، ثم يشتقُّ منه. فمن ذلك قولهم: أشفقت من الأمر، إذا رَقَقْت وحاذَرت

That it leads to the perception of subtlety, gentleness, delicacy, thinness in a thing, thereafter, it signifies compassionate, commiserate, when it scumbled, alerted, and became vigilant.

  • Thereby, you will see the criminals, in a stumbling condition from what is written therein.

  • He the Exalted fully knows what is before, in their present and past and what is after/future of them.

  • And they do not intercede except for him about whom He the Exalted has pleasingly approved.

  • And they stand in awe out of fear of Him the Exalted. [21:28]


  • They (Mutta'qeen) are the people who experience awe of Omnipresence of their Sustainer Lord despite being not in their sight—

  • While they are alert - self-conscious about the Appointed Moment. [21:49]

  • Know about those people who experience awe of their Sustainer Lord—they behave with alertness, gentleness, subtlety, delicacy, compassion and sympathy—[23:57]


  • Know it Our Majesty presented upon the Skies and the Earth and the Mountains for upholding "the trust (of freewill-autonomy)":

  • Whereby they apologized, regretted, and restrained taking burden of her; and they apprehended harm of it.

  • But the man had uplifted it/her (when he was sent to the Earth).

  • Indeed he has been rendered extensively in loss, and emotionalism—[33:72]


  • Only those people seek [mock] to hasten the Determined Moment who do not accept/believe in it—

  • And those who have believed feel terror of it —

  •  Since they know that it is indeed infallible fact.

  • The fact is that those who indulge in controversy [are in search/create confusion and illusions regarding point of occurrence] about the Appointed Moment—they are indeed in prolonged heedlessness. [42:18]

  • You will see the wrong doers/creators of imbalances/distorters perplexedly frightened from that [seeing written in their record book] which they had earned, and that is going to happen with them.

  • And as for those those who accepted/believed and did act righteously/moderately as directed—

  • Are in the beautiful parks of delight and comfort —

Root: ر و ض

  • For them is/will be everything which they desire from their Sustainer Lord —

  • This is that which is the greatest Bounty. [42:22]


  • They said, "Indeed we, in aforetimes in the world, used to be apprehensive about our family/household — [52:26]


  • Did this advice of donating before private consultations made you feel embarrassed of some negativity in holding private meeting with the Messenger of Allah?

  • Thereby, if you have not done it (private consultation with the Messenger), meanwhile Allah the Exalted has mercifully reverted upon you —

  • Therefore, you people organize and manage the Institution of Ass-sa'laat: Time bound protocol of allegiance and servitude; and pay Az-zaka'at: financial liability for economic uplift of society —

  • And affectionately and wholeheartedly accept the Word of Allah the Exalted and His Messenger.

  • Remain mindful; Allah the Exalted is always fully aware of that what you people do. [58:13]


  • And they are those who remain fearful about the infliction of their Sustainer Lord. [70:27]


  • Therefore to reiterate I swear by the twilight glow — [84:16]
