Ibn Faris [died 1005] stated:

(مقاييس اللغة)

الكاف والنون أصلٌ واحدٌ يدلُّ على سَتْرٍ أو صون. يقال كنَنْتُ الشيءَ في كِنِّهِ، إذا جعلتَه فيه وصُنتَه.

That it leads to the perception of shelter or protection - covering.

  • Be aware that there is nothing wrong and blemish worthy upon you in that overture of your subtly indicating interest to the Wives of deceased-alienated husbands; or you kept it secret to your selves.

  • جان لو؛تم لوگوں پر قطعاً کچھ قابل اعتراض ہونے کی گرفت نہیں،جو تم نے عورتوں کی گفتگو میں اظہار کر دیا یا تم نے اپنی خواہش کو اپنے اندر چھپائے رکھا

  • Allah the Exalted knew that you will eventually express to them.

  • اللہ تعالیٰ کو معلوم ہے کہ تم(بیوہ سے نکاح کے خواہشمند)ان (بیواؤں)سے  آنے والے دنوں میں(اپنی خواہش)کا ذکر کرو گے۔

  • But you should not alluringly lead them to mutual promise except that you may say to them a normally acceptable statement in plain words of evident import

  • لیکن ان(بیواؤں)سے  عیاں انداز میں عہد و پیمان نہیں کرنا چاہئے سوائے معروف انداز میں  وہ بات کہہ دینے  سے اظہار کر دو۔

  • And that you people should not make a firm resolve for the Matrimonial Bondage with them until such time the Prescribed Obligatory Period crosses its terminating moment.

  • اور تمہیں چاہئے کہ اس وقت تک  نکاح کے بندھن کا عزم نہ کرو جب تک کہ طے کردہ ضابطے  کی مدت گزر نہ جائے۔

  • Remain aware, Allah the Exalted fully knows that which you retain to your selves-secreted in hearts

  • اور متنبہ رہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر اس بات کو بخوبی جانتے ہیں  جو خود تمہاری ذات میں ابھی محدود ہے۔

  • Therefore, always remain mindfully cautious of Him the Exalted to adhere to injunctions given.

  • اس لئے ان جناب   کے متعلق تم لوگ  محتاط رہا کرو۔

Root: ح ذ ر

  • Moreover, remain cognizant that Allah the Exalted is eternally imperturbably over looking-forgiver [of unintentional faults-wrong doings]. [2:235]

  • لیکن ساتھ میں یہ بھی جان لو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اکثر و بیشتردرگزر اور پردہ پوشی کرنے اور معاف فرمانے والے ہیں؛وہ درجہ اتم بردبار،جذبات سے منزہ ہیں۔

  • Know it; Some oft them (elite) pretend listening to you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam]

  • While Our Majesty have rendered that what they claim covers upon their hearts as protection that hinders them comprehending it (Qur’ān).

  • And Our Majesty have rendered their so called (41:5) heavy load deposited within their ears as acoustic impedance persisting in their ears.

  • Take note, if they see every Ayah: unprecedented display, they will not accept and believe in it.

  • Despite this when they have come to you; they wrangle with you for it.

  • Those who have rejected to believe in the Messenger of Allah the Exalted say to people:

  • "This (Qur’ān) is nothing but compilation of the tales of ancients." [6:25]


  • Realize it, Allah the Exalted has rendered out of what He has created as shadows/shades for you people

  • And He the Exalted has rendered some of the caves-cavities of the mountains as shelters for you people.

  • And He the Exalted has rendered the garments for you people as preserving for you individually the heat - to protect you from heat.

Root: س ر ب ل 

  • And the garments that protect you individually from mutual hostility-offensive.

Root: س ر ب ل

  • This is how He the Exalted completes His blessing upon you people

  • May be realizing it you people submit. [16:81]


  • And Our Majesty have rendered that what they claim covers upon their hearts as protection that hinders them comprehending it (Qur’ān).

  • And Our Majesty have rendered their so called (41:5) heavy load deposited within their ears as acoustic impedance persisting in their ears.

  • And when you the Messenger described your Sustainer Lord in the Qur’ān as: "He is the only Sustainer Lord":

  • They about-faced on their backs in grip of aversion. [17::46]


  • And reflect who could be a greater evil monger-a distorter-creator of imbalances, over stepping than him who; on being reminded with the Aa'ya'at: Verbal passages of the Book of His Sustainer Lord, purposely refrained-stayed away from them

  • And he forgot what his hands have sent forward.

  • Indeed Our Majesty have rendered that what they claim covers upon their hearts as protection that hinders them comprehending it (Qur’ān).

  • And Our Majesty have rendered their so called (41:5) heavy load deposited within their ears as acoustic impedance persisting in their ears.

  • And if you the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] would invite them to come towards the Guidance-Guide (Qur’ān) they would purposely never ever wish to be guided. [18:57]

  • And indeed the Sustainer Lord of you the Messenger certainly fully knows what their hearts (of ingrate) hide [hold/conceal] and what they say publicly/openly. [27:74]

  • [you need not feel grieved over their attitude since] the Sustainer Lord of you the Messenger fully knows what their hearts hide [hold/conceal] and what they propagate. [28:69]

  • Like as if they were pearls protected in shells. [37:49]


  • And they (Disavowers) said "Our hearts are in veil from that towards which you (the Messenger) invite us

  • And a heavy load is deposited within our ears

    Human Ear

  • And between us and between you is a barrier

  • Therefore, you act as you like, indeed we are acting the way we like." [41:05]


  • And  grandsons/young children will remain in their attendance presenting-serving [drinks in the flagon]. Their resemblance in appearance is like as if they were protected pearls in shelves [made apparent]. [52:24]
