Ibn Faris [died 1005] stated:

(مقاييس اللغة)

الهاء والواو والدال: أصلٌ يدلُّ على إرْوادٍ وسُكون. يقولون: [التَّهويد]: المَشْيُ الرُّوَيْد

That it leads to the perception of proceeding in leisurely and gentle, calm gait;

Lane Lexicon: He returned (IAar, A, L, Msb) from evil to good or from good to evil: (IAar, L:) he repented, (S, A, L, K;) and returned to the truth; (S, L, K;) as also ↓ تهوّد : (L:) and the latter, he repented and did righteously. He became a Jew; (S, A, L, K;) he became of the Jewish religion.

  • Know the upshot about the people: those who have heartily believed in the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] and Qur’ān

لوگوں کے نتیجہ کے متعلق حقیقت جان لو: وہ لوگ جواللہ تعالیٰ کے رسول(کریمﷺ)اور قرء ان مجید پر دل کی شاد سے ایمان لائے ہیں۔

  • And those who obtained identity of Jews, and those who identified themselves as Nisaa'ra (Christians); and those the Sa'bi'een

،اور وہ جنہوں نے یہود کی شناخت کو اختیار کر لیا تھا،اور وہ جو اپنے آپ کو نصاریٰ کہلوانے لگے تھے،اور وہ جو صابئین تھے

  • Whoever of them had willingly accepted belief in Allah the Exalted and the Last Day; and had performed-acted as a righteous person (according to the Book of hour)

:ان میں سے بشرط جو کوئی اللہ تعالیٰ اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان لایا تھا اور صالح انداز میں (وقت کی کتاب کے مطابق)زندگی بسر کی تھی

  • Thereby, the reward of such people is in wait-prepared for them by Grace of their Sustainer Lord

نتیجتاً ان لوگوں کا اجر اُن کے لئے منتظر ہے ان کے رب کی جانب سے بطور ایوارڈ۔

  • And not at all fear will overshadow-haunt upon them

اور کسی طرح کا خوف ان پر مسلط نہیں ہوگا۔

  •  And they will neither have a cause for grieve. [2:62]

(اور نہ کبھی انہیں حزن و ملال کا سامنا ہو گا۔(البقرۃ۔٦٢


  • (Who are your enemies?) They are who have recognition of learned scholars amongst amongst people obtaining identity of Jews. Their characteristic is that they knowingly distort the definite expression out of its context (in Qur’ān) giving it a different angle-dimension-perspective [as they did about the command of sacrificing any heifer-2:68-71].

(تمہارے دشمن کون ہیں؟)وہ لوگ جو یہودیت اختیار کرنے والوں میں صاحبان علم کی شناخت رکھتے ہیں۔وہ ایک مخصوص بات کو اس کے سیاق و سباق،ان مقامات کے حوالے سے جہاں اس کا (قرء ان مجید میں)ذکر ہوا ہے،دوسری/الگ جانب پلٹاتے رہتے ہیں۔

  • And they say: "We have heard it what you said but we have not accepted it"

  • And they say: "Listen us, in a state other than of a person who is made to listen earlier".

  • And they utter the word "Raa'ina" by twisting-distorting its articulation with their tongues.

     اور وہ[یہودیوں میں سے بعض ]رَٟعِنَا کے تلفظ کواپنی زبانوں کے ساتھ موڑ/دوہرہ کر کے/بگاڑ کر ادا کرتے ہیں۔

  • And they gibe in the prescribed Constitution: Code of Conduct.

  • Take note; Had they remain firm on their statement: "We have listened and have heartily accepted it; and; "kindly listen paying us attention":  it would have been certainly much better for them and a more appropriate and sustainable-appreciable conduct.

  • But Allah the Exalted has discarded them as condemned and cursed because of their deliberate denial to accept.

  • Thereby, barring a few among them (Jews) they do not accept/believe. [4:46]


  • And for reason of evil doings-transgressing-distorting by certain ones out of those who had become the Jews:

  • Our Majesty had prohibited for them some of the beneficial things which were earlier made permissible for them.

  • And also for the reason that they had hindered many from the Path of Allah the Exalted. [4:160]


  • O you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] listen; let not those be a cause of grief for you who advance in stubbornness in disbelief

  • Those [Muna'fi'qeen] who on meeting say to the believers: "We have accepted and believed". They verbally proclaim belief while their hearts have not accepted and believed.

  • And about those amongst the Jews who are attentive listeners of false and fabricated stories; they are attentive listeners [when in privacy] for other group of people who have not yet come to you the Messenger.

  • They distort the statement-proposition out of its context to a different angle-dimension-perspective [as they did about the command of sacrificing an ordinary heifer-2:68-71] after having understood-rightly placed that.

ان کی یہ عادت بھی ہے کہ  ایک مخصوص بات کو اس کے سیاق و سباق،ان مقامات کے حوالے سے جہاں اس کا (قرء ان مجید میں)ذکر ہوا ہے،سمجھ لینے کے بعددوسری/الگ جانب پلٹاتے رہتے ہیں۔

کلام اللہ میں تحریف کرنے کے معنی و مفہوم اور مقصد  Root: و ض ع

  • They say to them: "If  you were told this/such and such thereby you accept it. But if you are not given to believe that; thereat, remain beware".

  • And if Allah the Exalted desires for someone to remain in his own perturbation, thereby, you possess nothing for him as granted by Allah the Exalted.

  • They are the people about whom Allah the Exalted has not desired that He might purify their hearts of impurities.

  • Humiliation-loss of self respect is manifest for them while in the worldly life

ہلکے پن،معیوب انداز فکرکی رسوائی ان لوگوں کے لئے  دنیا کی نگاہ میں ہے۔

  • And a great torment is in wait-prepared for them in the Hereafter. [5:41]

اور ایک  ہڈیوں میں سرایت کر جانے احساس درد و تکلیف آخرت کی زندگی میں ان کے  لئےتیار اور منتظر ہے۔ 


  • Indeed Our Majesty had compositely sent the Tor'aat

  • Guidance: Regulation - information code for aright course of conduct was prescribed therein (within her). And it had the illuminating light - insights in her contents showing the straight path to destination.

  • The Elevated and Chosen Allegiants of Allah the Exalted were adjudging by its standard to those who had submitted for those who had become Jews

  • And the rabbis and the intelligentsia adjudged with those contents of the Book of Allah the Exalted which survived-remained guarded

  • And they were attesters upon it.

  • (and they were directed) Therefore, you should not dread people; instead be completely in awe of Me

  • Take caution that you (the religious leaders/scholars) should not indulge in business with My Aa'ya'at: unitary verbal passages for a trifling price-worldly gain

  • Be mindful; if anyone decided and commanded not by that which Allah the Exalted had compositely sent:

  • Thereby, they are the people who are in fact the disavowers/non-believers. [5:44]


  • Know the upshot about the people: those who have heartily believed in the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] and Qur’ān

لوگوں کے نتیجہ کے متعلق حقیقت جان لو: وہ لوگ جواللہ تعالیٰ کے رسول(کریمﷺ)اور قرء ان مجید پر دل کی شاد سے ایمان لائے ہیں۔

  • And those who obtained identity of Jews, and likewise those who are identified as Sa'bi'ouen, and those who identified themselves as Nisaa'ra (Christians)  for whom the verdict is the same:

،اور وہ جنہوں نے یہود کی شناخت کو اختیار کر لیا تھا،اور  اسی طرح وہ جن کی شناخت  صابؤن تھی اور وہ جو اپنے آپ کو نصاریٰ کہلوانے لگے تھے

  • Whoever of them had willingly accepted belief in Allah the Exalted and the Last Day; and had performed-acted as a righteous person

:ان میں سے بشرط جو کوئی اللہ تعالیٰ اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان لایا تھا اور صالح انداز میں (وقت کی کتاب کے مطابق)زندگی بسر کی تھی

  • Its consequence is that not at all fear will overshadow-haunt upon them.

نتیجتاً  کسی طرح کا خوف ان پر مسلط نہیں ہوگا۔

  • And they will neither have a cause for grieve. [5:69]

اور نہ کبھی انہیں حزن و ملال کا سامنا ہو گا۔


  • Know the history on this subject; Our Majesty had declared prohibited, whole of the quadruped mammal possessing nail, upon those who practiced Judaism

  • And Our Majesty had partly prohibited their fats in the species Cow and sheep/goat

  • Except the fat their backs had laden or the intestines; or that fat which mingled itself with the skeleton/bones.

  • This was requital Our Majesty adjudged for them for their insolence.

  • Mind it; Our Majesty is most certainly the truthful. [6:146]


  • And Our Majesty had forbidden what We have narrated to you in detail earlier upon those who followed Judaism-the Jews.

 

  • And Our Majesty did no injustice to them, in fact they kept doing injustice and harm to their selves. [16:118]


  • Know the upshot about the people: those who have heartily believed in the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] and Qur’ān

لوگوں کے نتیجہ کے متعلق حقیقت جان لو: وہ لوگ جواللہ تعالیٰ کے رسول(کریمﷺ)اور قرء ان مجید پر دل کی شاد سے ایمان لائے ہیں۔

  • And those who reverted to identity of Jews; and the Sa'bi'ouen and those identified as Nisaa'ra; and Al-Majoos; and those who ascribed sculpted idols [after assigning superfluous names] as partners of Allah the Exalted

اور وہ جنہوں نے یہود کی شناخت کو اختیار کر لیا تھا،اور وہ جو صابئین تھے اور وہ جو اپنے آپ کو نصاریٰ کہلوانے لگے تھے

  • Indeed Allah the Exalted will draw bifurcation between thempeople of six identities on the Day of Rising.

  • Indeed Allah the Exalted is Ever Witness/Observer/Guard over everything and all affairs. [22:17]


  • You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] ask them-elite and clergy of Bani Iesra'iel/Jews; "O you who proclaim to be Jews, if you people consider/claim that you are the companions for Allah exclusively to the exception of other people

  • Thereby, you proclaim wish for the death to prove if you are truthful in what you claim before common people." [62:06]

بسبب جنت دنیا سے کہیں بہتر مقام ہےتو پھرتم لوگ ازخود موت کی تمنا کر کے دکھاؤ۔ایسا کر کے ثابت کرو اگر تم لوگوں سے بیان کردہ اپنے قول میں سچے ہو۔‘‘


  • And You the Exalted assign for us good both in this Worldly life and in the Hereafter

اور آپ جناب ہمارے لئے اس دنیا کی حیات کے دوران اور آخرت میں کتابِ نصیب میں بھلائی لکھ دیں۔

  • We have indeed proceeded towards You the Exalted."

یقیناً ہم نے آپ کی جانب آنے والے راست  سمت راہ کو اپنا لیا ہے‘‘۔

  • He the Exalted pronounced: "My punishment, I afflict with it him about whom I so decide;

انہوں(اللہ تعالیٰ)نے جواب دیا’’میرا مقرر کردہ عذاب جو کتاب میں درج ہے میں اس کے نصیب میں کرتا ہوں جس کے بارے میں منشا کا اظہار کروں گا۔(کتاب میں درج نصیب تب بنتا ہے جب اللہ تعالیٰ اس کا اذن دیتے ہیں۔الحدید۔۲۲)

  • However, My mercy extends overarching everything and matter.

اور میری رحمت تمام چیزوں پر پھیلی ہوئی ہے۔

  • Since you have desired for recording and ordaining, then remain informed I regularly keep assigning-crediting goodness for those people who sincerely endeavour to protect themselves and keep paying Az Zaka'at: financial liability for economic uplift of society

چونکہ آپ نے لکھنے کی استدعا کی ہے تو مطلع رہیں میں ان لوگوں کے لئے آخرت میں ملنے والی اچھائی کو  استمراری طور پرلکھتا رہتا ہوں جو محتاط طرز عمل پر کاربند رہتے ہوئے اپنے رب سے پناہ کے خواستگار رہتے ہیں اور معاشرے کے نظم و نسق اور معاشی اٹھان کے لئے زکوٰۃ دیتے رہتے ہیں۔

  • And for them who truly believe heartily in Our Aa'ya'at: Verbal passages of the Book." [7:156]

اور ان لوگوں کے لئے جو ہم جناب کے کلام پر مشتمل آیات پر ایمان لاتے ہیں‘‘۔


 

  • Moreover, they said, "None might ever enter in the Paradise except he who was either Jew or Christian".

 ان کے طرز عمل کو جان لو؛انہوں نے دعویٰ کرتے ہوئے کہا ”جنت میں کبھی کوئی شخص داخل نہیں ہو سکے گا سوائے اُس کے جو دنیا میں یہودی یا نصرانی کی شناخت رکھتا تھا“۔

  • This is one of their wishful thinking-desire-fascinations-conjectures made popular in society.

۔۔یہ اُن کی آرزوئیں / تمنائیں / تخیلاتی باتیں ہیں جو اُن کے دل ودماغ میں ڈال دی گئی ہیں۔۔

  • You ask them; "Produce your evidence-primary source to substantiate your verbal assertion

آپ(ﷺ)کہیں ”تم لوگ اپنا ٹھوس،معتبر ثبوت/سند پیش کرو۔

  • If you people were who express truthfully." [2:111]

ثابت کرو اگر تم اپنی بات ؍رائے کو سچائی کے اصولوں پر بیان کررہے تھے۔!“


  • Be informed; They (the Elite-Clergy of People of the Book, Jews and Christians) respectively said: "Be a Jew; or be a Christian; you people would guide yourselves aright."

 اورانہوں (اہل ِ کتاب کے عمائدین)نے لوگوں سے کہا”تم لوگ یہودی انداز فکر کو اپنا لو، یا نصرانی بن جاؤ،توتم ازخود سے ہدایت یافتہ ہو جاؤ گے“

  • You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] pronounce: "No, that is not the way to get guided; on the contrary, adopting incessantly the Community Code of life of Iebra'heim [alai'his'slaam] lets one guided aright. He was ever Sincere and upright staunch monotheist believer and Muslim in conduct."

آپ (ﷺ) بتائیں ”نہیں وہ ہدایت یافتہ ہونا نہیں؛ درحقیقت ہدایت یافتہ وہ ہو گا جو ملت ابراہیم (علیہ السلام)کے نظریہ اور طرز عمل پر استقلال،التزام و دوام سے پیروکار اورکاربند رہے گا؛وہ خود(ابراہیم علیہ السلام)ہمیشہ،التزام و دوام سے فلسفہ توحیدپررہے ۔

  • And be mindful; He was never considered and identified as part of the Idolaters-polytheists of his times. [2:135]

اورا نہیں کبھی بھی ان کے زمان کے مشرکین /اصنام پرستوں کے ساتھ سمجھا اور گردانا گیا تھا“۔


  • Are you saying that Iebra'heim and Iesma'eile and Ies'hauq and Ya'qoob [عليهم السلام ] and his progeny [tribes, grand sons] were Jews or Christians?"

(وہ جو تم لوگ کہتے ہو کہ یہودی یا نصرانی بننے سے انسان ہدایت یافتہ ہو جاتا ہے)کیا تم لوگ  یہ کہتے ہو  ’’یقینا ابراہیم، اسماعیل،اسحاق اور یعقوب (علیہم السلام)اوران کی اولاد(بارہ قبیلے)اپنے زمانے میں یہودی یا نصرانی ہوا کرتے تھے‘‘۔

  • You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] ask them, "Do you know better or Allah the Exalted knows the best?"

آپ(ﷺ)پوچھیں ’’کیا تم لوگ بہتر جانتے ہو یا اللہ تعالیٰ  مکمل طور پر جانتے ہیں‘‘۔

  • And who is more unjust than he who concealed-withheld pronouncing the information, conveyed by Allah the Exalted, which is known to him [from mention in the Book]?

اور اُس سے بڑھ کر حقیقت کے منافی رویہ اپنانے والا کون ہے جس نے  اپنے پاس اللہ تعالیٰ کی جانب سے موصول شدہ شہادت کو چھپایا!

  • Remain mindful that Allah the Exalted is never ever unmindful about what you people do [2:140]

متنبہ رہو، اللہ تعالیٰ  کبھی بھی  کسی بھی لمحے ان اعمال کی جانب سے   غافل نہیں ہوتے جو تم کرتے رہتے ہو۔(البقرۃ۔۱۴۰)

Proper Noun - Jews

  • Know it; the Jew's elders-clergy proclaimed; "The Christians are not upon a standpoint of anything concrete"

  • (ان کے دعویٰ کی حقیقت ان کے تضاد سے پرکھو)یہودیوں نے کہا’’نصاریٰ کبھی   کسی  صحیح  بنیاد پر قائم تصور اور نظریئے کے حامل نہیں رہے‘‘

  • And the Christian elders-clergy have counter claimed, "The Jews are not upon a standpoint of anything concrete".

  • اور نصاریٰ (کے علما ء )نے کہا’’اہل یہود کبھی   کسی  صحیح  بنیاد پر قائم تصور اور نظریئے کے حامل نہیں رہے‘‘۔

  • They assert this despite the fact that they people read and recite the Book.

  • ان کے علماء ایسا بیان دیتے ہیں جبکہ دونوں  مخصوص کتاب کو پڑھتے ہیں۔

  • Likewise their statement, such common people who have no knowledge [of the Book] also said a similar assertion.

  • اس   جیسا بیان ان لوگوں (اکابرین مشرکین)نے بھی دیا جنہیں مخصوص کتاب کا علم معلوم نہیں۔

  • [Ignore them] Thereby, Allah the Exalted will adjudge between them on the Day of Rising regarding the matter they kept mutually differing/opposing about it. [2:113]

  • اس  لئے(رہنے دو انہیں ان تخیلاتی خوش فہمی میں)اللہ تعالیٰ روز قیامت  ان کے مابین فیصلہ فرمائیں گے اس حکم کے حوالے سے جس میں وہ باہمی طور پر اختلاف کرتے رہے۔


  • Know the fact that as nation Jews as well the Christians will never make their selves appreciatively pleased with you, the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] until and unless (hypothetically speaking) you might adopt literally following their [self made] Creed (because they presume it aright course).

اورحتمی خبردی جاتی ہے(اے رسولِ کریم تاکہ آپ ان کے لئے زیادہ متردد نہ ہوں) آپ (ﷺ) سے یہودی اور نصاریٰ من حیث القوم اُس وقت تک راضی نہیں ہوں گے جب تک آپ دیدہ دانستہ اُن کے طرز فکر و عمل کی عملی طور پرپیروی کرنے نہیں لگتے

  • (کیونکہ ان کے گمان میں وہ ہدایت پر مبنی ہے)۔

  • You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] disclose it to everyone; "The fact about the Guidance of Allah the Exalted is it is that (he) declared by epithet ''the absolute Guidance - Guide (Grand Qur’ān)''.

آپ(ﷺ)ہر ایک کو واضح فرما دیں ”حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی جانب سے ہدایت نامہ صرف وہ ہے جسے ”الھدیٰ“حتمی اور مطلق ہدایت نامہ قرار دیا گیا ہے(قرء ان عظیم)۔

  • Therefore, be mindful that, if you would have purposely acted upon their conjectures-desires-wishes after that (Qur’ān) which has brought you the Knowledge:

لیکن اگرتم نے اُن (یہود و نصاریٰ)کی تخیلاتی،ناقابل تصدیق محض منہ کی باتوں اورخواہشات کی دانستہ،زیر مقصدپیروی کی باوجود اِس کے وہ ایک(الہدیٰ)تم تک پہنچ چکا ہے،ہر لمحہ کے لئے ناقابل تردید علم پر مبنی۔

  • Thereby, know the upshot; assuredly there will not at all [including myself] protecting guardian, nor at all helper permitted by Allah the Exalted to act for you." [2:120]

تواس کا انجام بھی جان لے، ا للہ تعالیٰ کی جانب سے قطعاًکسی حمائتی اور قطعاً کسی مددگارکو تیرے لئے دادرسی کرنے کی اجازت نہ ہوگی“ (البقرۃ۔۱۲۰)


  • Iebra'heim  never had association with community of Jews nor with the Christians

  • On the contrary, he was intrinsically and perpetually a Muslim

  • And be mindful, he (Iebra'heim [alaihis'slaam]) was never considered and identified as part of the Idolaters of his times. [3:67]


  • And the Jews and Christians both said claiming: "We are the sons of Allah and we are His most beloved ones".

  • You the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] confront them with the fact: "If it is so why then He the Exalted chastises you people for your vain blemish utterances?

  • In view of this fact alone your assertion is false; the fact is that you people are just skinned beings in the realm that He the Exalted has created.

  • He the Exalted forgives for whomever He so decides and He the Exalted punishes for whom He so decides.

  • Take note; the dominion of the Skies and the Earth and whatever is in between the two is exclusively for Allah the Exalted.

  • Be cognizant of the doctrine that the finality of issues is the exclusive prerogative of Him the Exalted." [5:18]

  • O those/you who proclaim to have accepted-become believers, listen:

  • You should purposely avoid adopting and associating the Jews and Nisa'raa: Christians as patrons/godfathers/intimates.

  • Some of them are patrons/protectors/godfathers/intimates of some other.

  • Be mindful; if anyone amongst you purposely associates them patrons/protectors: thereat, he is certainly a lemming/conformist of them.

  • Indeed, Allah the Exalted does not guide, against their will-considered decision, those who are mischievous-distorters-Substituter of facts with conjectures-myths-concocted stories. [5:51]


  • Know it; certain Jews said: "Allah's hand is in a tied up state."

  • Their fists have become tied.

  • And they are discarded as condemned and cursed for what they stated.

  • They lied; the fact is that His two hands are fully stretched; He the Exalted openly flows the bounty as He wills.

  • Be aware; it is certain that it (Grand Qur’ān), which has since been sent to you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] by your Sustainer Lord, will augment the majority of them in brimming out of bounds and disbelief.

  • And We have allowed to exist wrangling and grudge/hatred/resentment between them until the Day of Rising.

  • This assertion of theirs is merely a blow exhaled by their mouths

  • They drag the utterance of those who disavowed in timeline before them.

  • They said, "O Hued, you have not brought to us distinct evidence/argument

  • And we are not going to leave-abandon our various iela'aha: godheads on your saying

  • And we will certainly not be believer for you. [11:53]


  • Know it, when Our Command had reached, Our Majesty rescued Hued [alai'his'slaam] and those who had believed along with him safely, by favour of advance information of matter by Our Majesty.

  • And We rescued them safely from a compact infliction. [11:58]


  • Take lesson, they were chased by curse and condemnation in this worldly life and so will be on the Day of Rising.

  • The fact is that civilization Aad refused to believe in their Sustainer Lord.

  • Be warned; Allah the Exalted commanded eradication of civilization Aad, nation of Hued [alai'his'slaam]. [11:60]


  • And O my nation! let not the dissenting with me overpower/exploit you to an extent:
