مصر:المِصْرُ اسم لكلّ بلد ممصور، أي: محدود

That it is name for any any land with defined boundaries and walled.

It is Proper Noun for the country known in English as Egypt. Prior to the unification of Egypt, the land was settled with autonomous villages.   •  اِس لئے اپنے رب سے ہمارے لئے دعا کریں کہ ہمارے لئے وہ مہیا کرے جسے زمین اگاتی ہے

  •  Its vegetable-herbs, and its cucumbers, and its grains, and its lentils, and its onions."
  • اُس کی سبزیاں / ساگ، کھیرے ککڑی، اُس کا اناج/ گیہوں، اُس کی مسور، اُس کی پیازمیں سے“۔

  • He (Mūsā alahissalam) said; "Are you people seeking replacement which is inferior in place of that which is better one?

  • انہوں (موسیٰ علیہ السلام)نے کہا”کیا تم اُس طعام کو جوزیادہ بہتر ہے اُس شئے سے بدلنا چاہتے ہو جونسبتاً ادنیٰ ہے؟

  • [Okay] Go you down to a city, whereby there is certainly for you that which you have asked".

  • پہاڑی علاقے سے)نیچے /پستی کی جانب بستی میں اترو تو پھر تمہیں یقینا وہ سب ملے گا جس کا تم سوا ل کر رہے ہو“۔)

  • Beware, dependence - subjugation - remaining under-patronage and disdain - contemptibility is struck upon them as distinguished feature.

  • جان لو ان کے متعلق یہ حقیقت۔ اُن پر زیر سرپرستی رہنے،دوسروں پر انحصار کرنے اور سکونت کی محتاجی مسلط کر دی گئی ہے۔

  • And they have made their selves liable to criminal cognizance - arrest by decree of Allah the Exalted.

  • اورانہوں نے اپنے آپ کومجرمانہ جانکاری کے مستحق بنا لیا ہے ا للہ تعالیٰ کی جانب سے گرفت میں لئے جانے کے۔

  • This eventuality is because they persistently refused to accept the Aa'ya'at: Verbal passages of the Book of Allah the Exalted —

  • یہ فیصلہ اِس لئے ہوا کہ انہوں نے اللہ تعالیٰ کی آیتوں سے انکار کو اپنی سرشت بنائے رکھا۔

  • And this eventuality is because they kept indulging in character assassination of: the Chosen and elevated Allegiants of Allah the Exalted by contrary to fact slanderous and libellous statements to distance them from people's reverence —

  • اور اس بناء پر کہ وہ حقیقت کے منافی باتوں سے نبیوں کی کردار کشی،تحقیر و توہین کرتے اور انہیں زچ کرتے تھے۔

  • This attitude was because they did not accept the Word and purposely kept transgressing and going beyond prescribed limits. [2:61]

  • آپ جان لیں،یہ اس وجہ سے کرتے تھے کہ انہوں نے اُن(نبیوں) کی بات کوماننے سے انکار کر دیا تھا
    اور دوری اختیار کرتے/حد سے نکل جانے کی روش کو انہوں نے اپنائے رکھا۔

This is an event after the Exodus from Egypt and stay on a high land on the right side of At-Tur. A walled city has entrance doors. They were asked to enter a specific city through its door:

  • And recall when Our Majesty had said: "You people enter this (walled) town/city for sojourn —

  •  اور (یاد کرو) جب ہم نے کہاتھا ”تم لوگ (سکونت /عارضی قیام کیلئے) اس فصیل بندبستی میں داخل ہو جاؤ۔

  • Thereat, you people eat of the plenty therein wherever you wished.

  • داخل ہو جانے کے بعد اس میں جہا ں کہیں انواع و اقسام میں سے کھانے کو تمہارا من چاہے، جی بھرکر کھاؤ پیؤ۔

  • Moreover, you people enter the gate as humble people-in humility posture —

  • مگرداخلی دروازے میں سے فرمانبرداری کے احساس کے ساتھ تم لوگ داخل ہوں

  • And while entering the door you people pronounce praying, " We beg forgiveness":

  • یہ کہتے ہوئے”حِطَّۃٌ“،یارب ہماری خطاوں کا بوجھ اتار دیں“۔

  • Our Majesty would like to forgive-overlook for you people about your omissions.

  • اس دعا کو قبول کرتے ہوئے تم لوگوں کے لئے تمہاری خطاؤوں کو ہم جناب بخش دیں گے۔

  • Be assured, Our Majesty will keep advancing those who conduct moderately, gracefully and generously; with regard to conduct elevation". [2:58]

  • (اورہم جناب حسن کردار کے لوگوں کو بڑھاتے رہیں گے،کردار میں اوج کے حوالے سے۔''(البقرۃ۔ ٥٨

  • And recall when We had said for them: "You people enter this city for a sojourn;

  • Thereat, eat of the plenty therein as you wish.

  • And while entering the door you pronounce praying, " We beg forgiveness";

  • And enter the door as humble people-in humility posture;

  • We would like to forgive-overlook for you people about your omissions. Be assured, We will keep increasing blessings for those who conduct moderately, gracefully and generously". [7:161]

  • And you people declare your houses [in various localities respectively] as Confronting Focal Point [] and manage/organize As'salat: Time bound protocol of servitude and allegiance."

  • And you the Messenger [Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] guarantee-ensure the glad tidings to the heartily believing people. [10:87]

  • And he who had bought him (child-Yu'suf) from the market in the City Misr [Egypt] said to his wife imperatively:

  • "You make his permanent stay dignified; may be he becomes profitable for us or we might affectionately adopt him as son."

  • And this is how Our Majesty provided a stronghold for Yu'suf in the Land [Misr-known by non Arabs as Egypt] —

  • And so that Our Majesty may make him learn foreseeing by deducing the final outcome-logical conclusive interpretation of the happenings, events-dreams —

  • Realize it, Allah the Exalted is always dominant upon His decision/command [to make it take effect]

  • But the fact remains that most of the people intend not to understand - realize it. [12:21]

  • Thereafter, when they left for Egypt and all entered upon Yu'suf, he took his father and mother with him towards his place;

  • And said [to brothers and their families-plural], "You people enter-dwell in Misr [Egypt], if Allah the Exalted has so decided, safe and sound." [12:99]

  • Know this fact, Fir'aoun/Pharaoh circulated proclamation/address within his Nation, he said,

  • "O my countrymen/nation; Is the country of Misr [Unified country of Two Lands-now known as Egypt] not the state for me —

  • And likewise these streams of water that are flowing by my side/underneath [which indicates and refers to his palace]? [Consider this and]

  • Will you people still not see/focus [about my superiority]? [43:51]

  • Or am I not better than this one (Mūsā [alai'his'slaam]) who is insignificant - man of a slave group; neither he is near achieving distinction/place of position. [43:52]

Was the capital City of Misr (Egypt) walled?

  • And he advised, "O my sons, you should not enter all through one entrance only, instead enter separately through different entrances-doors of the city;

  • Though I cannot avail you against any thing that is ordained by Allah the Exalted;

  • The authority for decision and commanding the matters is exclusive for Allah the Exalted.

  •  I place reliance and dependence upon Him the Exalted;

  • Therefore, the reliant should place trust for the best consequence of actions exclusively upon Him the Exalted." [12:67]
