What type of a book is Qur’ān? It is disclosed:

ٱللَّـهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ

Allah the Exalted has serially sent the infallibly authentic breaking news and information: the best verbal discourse to His sincere chosen allegiant —

كِتَٟبٙا مُّتَشَٟبِـهٙا مَّثَانِـىَ

This discourse is conveyed to people in the form of a written book — It is the explainer with metaphors—mirroring the hidden realities —: It is a Miscellany-cluster of Binary-Symmetrical-analogous verbal passages—

Symmetry: In geometry, symmetry is defined as a balanced and proportionate similarity that is found in two halves of an object. It means one-half is the mirror image of the other half. The imaginary line or axis along which you can fold a figure to obtain the symmetrical halves is called the line of symmetry.

The reaching into 40th year of life is the turning point for achieving success and salvation.

وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٟنَ بِوَٟلِدَيْهِ إِحْسَٟنٙاۖ

Mind it; Our Majesty have enjoined-given the verdict-decreed upon the human beings to conduct with their parents with affectionate kindness.

حَـمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ كُرْهٙا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهٙاۖ

His mother carried him in her womb bearing hardship; and she delivered him bearing hardship.

وَحَـمْلُهُۥ وَفِصَٟلُهُۥ ثَلٟثُونَ شَهْرٙاۚ

His period of bearing in pregnancy and his breast-feed weaning is collectively for thirty months [breast feeding is for complete two years-24 moon months-2:233; hence child can be delivered in six months period of pregnancy] —

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِيـنَ سَنَةٙ

Until when he has crossed over to strengthened maturity; [and if not died rather] and later he has arrived the age of forty years —

قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشكُـرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِـىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَـىَّ وَعَلَـىٰ وَٟلِدَىَّ

He prayed, "O my Sustainer Lord! Do enable me that I might acknowledge with gratitude the Favor of You the Exalted which You have showered upon me and have showered upon my parents —

وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٟلِحٙا تَرْضَىٰهُ

Moreover, enable me that I might conduct with that perfection which You the Exalted appreciatively approve —

وَأَصْلِحْ لِـى فِـى ذُرِّيَّتِـىٓۖ

And You do lead them to righteous conduct for me who will be in my progeny.

إِنِّـى تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّـى مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِيـنَ .١٥

I have sincerely turned towards You the Exalted; and indeed now I have consciously become a member of Muslims: people who follow the Prescribed Code and Physical Procedure-Islam" [46:15]

Suras with 3 to 39 Ayahs is thus taken as Small Sura and with 40 to 286 Ayahs as Large Sura.

First half of Qur’ān (57 Suras) has 48 Large Sura and 9 Small Sura

Second half has 9 Large Sura and 48 Small Sura
