21:08 Detailed Analysis




























































For people has come nearer their [time of] accountability and they yet in heedlessness are avoiders knowingly and deliberately. [21:01]

They do not listen attentively whatever comes to them anew from the Zikr/Grand Qur'aan from their Sustainer Lord except that they deliberately listened it in a state of playful mood, [21:02][In conjunction read 6:04;36:46;45:09]

while their hearts are distracted and preoccupied in other trifle matters and thoughts.

And those who wronged/distorted the facts kept their whispers to people secret, "Is this man but a human being/ordinary person like you people?


Is it then [for lack of noticing this point] you people come to the illusion while you people have the faculty of vision" [21:03]

He said, "My Sustainer Lord fully knows the utterance/statement [whether made loudly or whisperingly] made in the Sky and the Earth;

  and He is the eternally All-Hearing, the All-Knowing". [21:04]

No, they tell people, "[what he is stating] These are muddled dreams;

No, perhaps these are not muddled dreams, actually he has fabricated it/Qur'aan;

no, perhaps not fabricated it; actually he is a poet. [This reflects that people of those days also did not consider the assertions of poets worthy of serious attention; and look at the tragedy that some people take pride in suggesting that one should know the poetry of era before Qur'aan- "period of emotionalism" to understand Qur'aan-the absolute fact, while the fact is that the poetry of those days begins with the contours of woman and is abased in those contours]


Therefore [if he is a Messenger and not ordinary man like you people] then let him bring to us a miracle/unprecedented demonstrative sign as were sent with earlier Messengers" [21:05]

The people before them of habitats whom We annihilated did not believe [in the signs sent to them]


Is it [whispering such thoughts to people] for reason that they will believe [if sign brought to them]. [21:06]

And We did not send before you, the Messenger [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam], except men, to whom We communicated [our Aa'ya'at].

Therefore you people ask the people who were/are given the Awakener/Retriever/Book if you people do not have the knowledge. [21:07]

Moreover, another fact about those Messengers of aforetimes is that We had not made their physical bodies of such characteristic feature that they did not keep eating food/meals. Nor were they the Beings to live perpetually/indefinitely. [21:08]

Afterwards We proved/fulfilled Our promise to them whereby We rescued them/all Messengers before you [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam, to safe places from non believers and life threats] and those whom We willed;


and We annihilated the transgressors. [21:09]

It is true that We have sent for you people in writing/Book in the contents of which/Grand Qur'aan there is mention of you people [psyche and inner nature]

 Is it for reason that you do not ponder/use intellect to differentiate? [which is the basic job of intellect that you do not find yourselves discussed therein] [21:10]

And many civilizations/habitats We have shattered who were unjust

and after them raised into power another nation. [21:11]

For reason/in consequence of their persistent unjust conduct when they perceived Our affliction at that point in time they were fleeing from it. [21:12]

[they were asked] "You people do not run away and you people return to luxury in which you were absorbed and your abodes so that you may be questioned". [21:13]

[All say this, 21:46,97]

They said, "Woe is for us, indeed we were wrong-doers/unjust" [21:14]

Thereupon their such sobbing did not cease until We made them as [progressively] mown, quenched silent ashes. [21:15]

And We have not created the Sky and the Earth nor what is in between the two like the doers of purposeless/playful things. [21:16]

Had it Our pursuit/desire to adopt a pastime play, We could have adopted it from Our presence if We were to act in that pursuit. [21:17]

That what they say [21:05] is not correct, the fact of the matter is that We hurl with proven Fact/ Reality-Profitable and substantive substance of permanence upon the [بَاطِل] conjectural scum/fabricated stories and myths [like filmy layer of extraneous matter or impurities that rises up on the surface of a liquid; dross or refuse from molten metal which becomes visible on surface] whereupon the substantive fact smashes its brain [effect], thereby at that point in time it becomes vanishing/dilapidating/bubbles away.


And [eventually] woe is for you people for what you people conjecture, fabricate falsehood. [21:18]

And for Him is whoever is in the Skies and on/in the Earth [subservient/dependant, willingly or perforce/consciously or unconsciously].

and those who are near Him they never arrogantly turn away from His demonstrative allegiance/servitude;


and nor they tire in performing demonstrative allegiance/servitude. [21:19]

They endeavor/repetitively praise during the night and the day seeking approval and appreciation, they never slacken. [21:20]
