089-ٱلْفَجْر


(Explanation Urdu / English)

وَٱلْفَجْرِ .89:01١

وَلَيَالٛ عَشْـرٛ .89:02٢

وَٱلشَّفْعِ وَٱلْوَتْرِ .89:03٣

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْـرِ .89:04٤

هَلْ فِـى ذَٟلِكَ قَسَمٚ لِّذِى حِجْرٛ .89:05٥

• And to swear by Al-Fajr: the time between true dawn and emergence of Sun on horizon; [89:01]
• And by just any ten nights; [89:02]
• And by the even and the odd; [89:03]
• And by the Night when it has receded completely with emergence of Sun's tip on horizon; [89:04]
• Is there some solemnity embedded in such simple, generalized and overlapping swear that could be attractive for a man possessing delineating intellect? [89:05]

أَ لَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٛ .89:06٦

إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلْعِمَادِ .89:07٧

ٱلَّتِـى لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُـهَا فِـى ٱلْبِلَٟدِ .89:08٨

• Have you not yet given a thought-seen as to how your Sustainer Lord innovatively did with civilization Aad?[89:06]
• The residents of the City of Iram; its peculiarity are the lofty Pillars: [89:07]
• The like of which had not earlier been created in the cities. [89:08]

وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُوا۟ ٱلصَّخْرَ بِٱلْوَادِ .89:09٩

وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِى ٱلْأَوْتَادِ .89:10١٠

ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوْا۟ فِـى ٱلْبِلَٟدِ .89:11١١

فَأَكْثَرُوا۟ فِيـهَا ٱلْفَسَادَ .89:12١٢

فَصَبَّ عَلَيْـهِـمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٛ .89:13١٣

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلْمِرْصَادِ .89:14١٤

• And with the civilization Sa'mued; they hollowed and hewed the rocks in the Valley. [89:09]
• And with Fir'aoun: Pharaoh;  he was the holder of deeply entrenched vested interests. [89:10]
• Those who over brimmed in transgression in the cities. [89:11]
• Whereupon they caused the distortions, inequality and imbalances widespread therein. [89:12]
• Consequentially your Sustainer Lord sent upon them varying tormenter of infliction. [89:13]
• Truly your Sustainer Lord certainly watchfully awaits to take cognizance. [89:14]

فَأَمَّا ٱلْإِنسَٟنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ

فَأَكْرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّـىٓ أَكْرَمَنِ .89:15١٥

وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ

فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّـىٓ أَهَٟنَنِ .89:16١٦

كَلَّا ۖ بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ ٱلْيَتِيـمَ .89:17١٧

وَلَا تَحَٟٓضُّونَ عَلَـىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِيـنِ .89:18١٨

وَتَأْكُلُونَ ٱلتُّـرَاثَ أَكْلٙا لَّمّٙا .89:19١٩

وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلْمَالَ حُبّٙا جَـمّٙا .89:20٢٠

• As for the certain Man is concerned when his Sustainer Lord subjected him to an exposure trial:
• Whereat He the Exalted granted him honoured distinction in society; and He granted him affluence; thereat he says to people proudly: "My Sustainer Lord has honoured me with distinction". [89:15]
• And as that state is concerned when He the Exalted subjected him to an exposure trial:
• Whereat He the Exalted restricted his sustenance to a measure: Thereat he complains: "My Sustainer Lord has humiliated me". [89:16]
• No, both situations were to expose his inner worth. The fact is that you people do not respect and honour the father-Orphan, in affluence. [89:17]
• Nor you persuade yourselves and others to feed the destitute-indigent. [89:18]
• And you people eat away the inheritance; in the manner of devouring-absorbing others share. [89:19]
• And you people incline yourselves for the love of wealth, intensive love. [89:20]

كَلَّآ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ دَكّٙا دَكّٙا .89:21٢١

وَجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَٱلْمَلََكُ صَفّٙا صَفّٙا .89:22٢٢

وَجَا۟ ىٓ ءَ يَوْمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّـمَۚ

يَوْمَئِذٛ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٟنُ

وَأَنَّـىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ .89:23٢٣

يَقُولُ يٟلَيْتَنِى قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِـى .89:24٢٤

فَيَوْمَئِذٛ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٚ .89:25٢٥

وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٚ .89:26٢٦

• Nay, wealth will be of no avail; When the Earth will be crushed and even surfaced, by pounding. [89:21]
• And came the time of accountability by the Sustainer Lord of you, and the Angels successively. [89:22]
• And the Day when every person at point in time is brought to the boundary of Hell-Prison;
• That Day at that point in time the Man will consciously recall the admonishment;
• But of what advantage would it be for him the recalling of the Admonishment? [89:23]
• He will say: "Regret is for me, alas, I had sent something forward for my life" [89:24]
• For reason [having lost everything-69:29] none of them will be able to inflict his tyranny; [89:25]
• And none of them will be able bind his binders-authority/control over people. [89:26]

يـٰٓأَيَّتُـهَا ٱلنَّفْسُ ٱلْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ .89:27٢٧

ٱرْجِعِىٓ إِلَـىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةٙ مَّرْضِيَّةٙ .89:28٢٨

فَٱدْخُلِـى فِـى عِبَٟدِى .89:29٢٩

وَٱدْخُلِـى جَنَّتِى .89:30٣٠

• [It will be pronounced] "O you the person who retains self satisfied posture in all circumstances! [89:27]
• You return towards your Sustainer Lord happily; as appreciated and approved allegiant; [89:28]
• Therefore, join with My sincere allegiants; [89:29]
• And you enter into My Paradise". [89:30]
